Park Seo-Jun cast in JTBC drama series “Waiting for Gyeong-Do”

Actor Park Seo-Jun is cast for the lead male role in JTBC drama series “Waiting for Gyeong-Do” (literal title). The romantic-comedy drama series is scripted by Yoo Young-A (“Thirty Nine“) and directed by Im Hyun-Wook (“King the Land“). Actress Won Ji-An has received an offer to play the lead female role and she is currently considering the offer. For Park Seo-Jun, he will play Lee Gyeong-Do. He works as an entertainment reporter for a newspaper. He broke up with his first love two times and meets her again, while covering a scandal involving her husband.

“Waiting for Gyeong-Do” will first air sometime this year.

Winners at the 2024 MBC Drama Awards

See list of nominees and winners at the 2024 MBC Drama Awards that was broadcast today January 5, 2025 in South Korea. The award ceremony was actually held on December 30, 2024, but was not broadcast at that time due to a one week national mourning period for the Jeju Air plane crash that took place on December 29, 2024. Big winners for the award show include “Doubt” and its lead star Han Suk-Kyu who won the Grand Prize and Chae Won-Bin won Best New Actress award. “Chief Detective 1958” also received two awards which were for Best Drama Series and Best Actor (Lee Je-Hoon). “When The Phone Rings” won 4 four awards including Best Actor (Yoo Yeon-Seok) and Excellent Actress (Chae Soo-Bin).

Akira Terao and Tori Matsuzaka cast in movie “Chichi to Boku no Owaranai Uta”

Akira Terao and Tori Matsuzaka are cast in movie “Chichi to Boku no Owaranai Uta.” The first teaser trailer for the movie has also been added on AsianWiki. The film is inspired by the true story of 79 year father Ted McDermott and his son Simon McDermott. The son uploaded videos of his himself and his father, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s three years earlier, singing songs together while driving in a car in 2016. In the movie version, Akira Terao will play Tetta Mamiya. He is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Tori Matsuzaka will play his son Yuta Mamiya.

“Chichi to Boku no Owaranai Uta” will be released May 23, 2025 in Japan.

Trailer and poster added for movie “Kokuho” starring Ryo Yoshizawa and Ken Watanabe. Movie is based on 2017 novel “Kokuhou” by Shuichi Yoshida and directed by Sang-il Lee. Director Sang-il Lee previously worked with Shuichi Yoshida original novels for 2010 movie “Villain” and 2016 movie “Rage.” The poster for the film was photographed by Kazumi Kurigami on the day after filming for the movie ended. Actor Ryo Yoshizawa was still in his character of Kikuo Tachibana during the poster photo shoot.
