Teaser poster for movie “Swing Kids”

Here’s the first teaser poster for upcoming movie “Swing Kids” starring Do Kyung-Soo and Park Hye-Soo. The film is set in 1951, at a POW camp in South Korea. People there fall in love with tap dancing, including North Korean Rho Ki-Soo (Do Kyung-Soo). The film is written and directed by Kang Hyung-Chul (“Scandal Makers“/”Sunny“).

The teaser poster also reveals that “Swing Kids” will be released December, 2018 in South Korea.

Kim So-Hyun cast in Netflix drama series “Love Alarm”

Kim So-Hyun is cast in new Netflix drama series “Love Alarm.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Joahamyun Woolrineun” by Cheon Kye-Young. In the drama series, Kim So-Hyun will play high school student Kim Jo-Jo. The drama series revolves around a cellphone app that works like a love alarm and two male best friends at Kim Jo-Jo’s high school who like her. Lee Na-Jeong (“Oh My Venus “) will direct the drama series.

“Love Alarm” will be available for streaming on Netflix beginning in 2019 and will consist of 8 episodes.

Gong Yoo cast in movie “Kim Ji-Young Born 1982”

Gong Yoo cast in movie “Kim Ji-Young Born 1982” (literal title) co-starring Jung Yu-Mi. For those keeping count, Gong Yoo and Jung Yu-Mi previously starred in 2011 film “Silenced” and 2016 film “Train To Busan.” Both of those films were box office hits and critically acclaimed as well.

In movie “Kim Ji-Young Born 1982,” Gong Yoo will play Jung Dae-Hyun. He is married to title character Kim Ji-Young (Jung Yu-Mi). Filming for “Kim Ji-Young Born 1982” will start sometime during the first half of next year in South Korea. Movie is directed by Kim Do-Young. This is her first time as a movie director, but she has an extensive acting resume.

Teaser poster for movie “Unstoppable”

Here’s the first teaser poster for movie upcoming “Unstoppable” starring Ma Dong-Seok  and Song Ji-Hyo. The film has Ma Dong-Seok and Song Ji-Hyo playing a married couple. Ma Dong-Seok’s character is reformed gangster, but his wife gets kidnapped and he sets out to get her back.

“Unstoppable” will be released sometime this November, 2018 in South Korea. Ma Dong-Seok also has movie “The Neighbors” (literal title) tentatively scheduled for release this November as well.

First script reading for SBS drama series “Empress’s Dignity”

First script reading for SBS drama series “Empress’s Dignity” (literal title) took place September 6, 2018 at SBS Ilsan Production Center in Tanhyun, South Korea. Main cast members including Jang Na-RaChoi Jin-Hyuk,Shin Sung-Rok,Lee ElijahShin Eun-Kyung, Park Won-Suk, Yun Da-Hun, Kim Jung-Tae and Yoon So-Yi all attended. The first script reading took about 5 hours to complete.

“Empress’s Dignity” first airs November, 2018 in South Korea.

Jang Dong-Yoon cast in KBS2 drama series “Dance Sports Girls”

Jang Dong-Yoon is cast in upcoming KBS2 drama series “Dance Sports Girls” (literal title). The drama series follows 6 high school girls who compete in a dance sports competition. The six girls are played by Park Se-Wan, Lee Joo-YoungJoo Hae-EunShin Do-HyunLee Yoo-Mi and Kim Soo-Hyun. The drama series is based on 2017 documentary “Dance Sports Girls.”

For the drama series, Jang Dong-Yoon will play high school student Kwon Seung-Chan. He likes dance sports, but he pretends to be uninterested in the sport.

“Dance Sports Girls” first airs December, 2018 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Matrimonial Chaos.”).

Teaser trailer for KBS W drama series “That Time When Time Stops”

First teaser trailer for upcoming KBS W drama series “That Time When Time Stops” (literal title) starring Kim Hyun-Joong and An Ji-Hyun. In the teaser trailer, around the 8 second mark a caption in Korean states “Capable person to stop time … Party A” and a caption in Korean appears around the 16 second mark which states “House Owner (Party B) who stays in the stopped time.”

“That Time When Time Stops” first airs October 24, 2018 in South Korea.
