First still images of Bae Suzy in SBS drama series “Vagabond”

Here’s the first still images of Bae Suzy in upcoming SBS drama series “Vagabond” co-starring Lee Seung-Gi. In drama series “Vagabond,” Bae Suzy plays Go Hae-Ri. To support her mother and younger sibling, she becomes a NIS agent. Filming for the drama series were shot on location in Morocco from October, 2018 and finished November, 2018.

“Vagabond” will first air sometime next year in South Korea.

Jung Woo cast in movie “Don’t Touch Dirty Money”

Jung Woo is cast in new movie “Don’t Touch Dirty Money” (literal title). The film is directed by Kim Min-Soo (screenwriter of “The Merciless“). In the film, Jung Woo will play detective Myung-Deuk. He comes across money belonging to a crime organization and is soon chased by the cops and the crime group over the money. Filming for “Don’t Touch Dirty Money” begins mid-December, 2018 in South Korea.

“Don’t Touch Dirty Money” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.

Trailer for movie “Red Blade”

Trailer added for action film “Red Blade” starring Yuka OguraHimena Tsukimiya and Kanon Hanakage. Director Sion Sono is credited for writing the original draft and the film is directed by Takahiro Ishihara. “Red Blade” follows a young high school girl played by Yuka Ogura. She is bullied at school and finds escape in a children’s book about ninja. Two ninja girls then appear and take her back in time to the Edo period and train her to become a ninja.

“Red Blade” will be released December 15, 2018 in Japan..

English subtitled trailer for movie “Take Point”

English subtitled trailer added for movie “Take Point” starring Ha Jung-Woo and Lee Sun-Kyun.  In the film, Ha Jung-Woo plays a character that leads a U.S. mercenary group. They are hired by the CIA to enter a secret tunnel built by the North Koreans along the DMZ and take out a target there. The target turns out to be the North Korean leader. Several unexpected twists and surprises then occur. As per the trailer, Ha Jung-Woo speaks extensive English in the film. Movie is directed by Kim Byung-Woo (“The Terror Live“).

“Take Point” will be released December 26, 2018 in South Korea.

Shinichi Tsutsumi & Takashi Okamura cast in movie “Kessan! Chushingura”

Shinichi Tsutsumi and Takashi Okamura are cast in movie “Kessan! Chushingura.” The film is based on 2012 nonfiction novel “「Chushingura」 no Kessansho” by Hirofumi Yamamoto and directed by  Yoshihiro Nakamura. Story for the film follows Kuranosuke Oishi (Shinichi Tsutsumi) and accountant (Takashi Okamura) as they plan revenge on the man responsible for getting their lord killed. Their budget though is lacking.

“Kessan! Chushingura” will be released sometime during winter, 2018 in Japan.

Teaser trailer #3 for tvN drama series “The Crowned Clown”

Teaser trailer #3 added for tvN drama series “The Crowned Clown” starring Yeo Jin-Goo and  Lee Se-Young. Teaser trailer #3 has Lee Se-Young appearing for the first time as Queen Yoo So-Woon. She provides narration at the 20 second mark of the teaser and states in Korean “Finally… I became to like highness.” Meanwhile, above is the second teaser poster for “The Crowned Clown.” The teaser poster features Yeo Jin-Goo standing in the foreground and Kim Sang-Kyung standing behind him. Caption on the bottom of the poster states in Korean “Clown becomes a King.” Drama series is a remake of 2012 movie “Masquerade.”

“The Crowned Clown” first airs January 7, 2019 in South Korea.

Lee Joon-Ho & Jung So-Min cast in movie “Gibang Bachelor”

Lee Joon-Ho (2PM) and Jung So-Min are cast for the lead roles in new movie “Gibang Bachelor” (literal title). The film is set during the Joseon period. For the film, Lee Joon-Ho will play Heo Saek. He becomes the first male gisaeng (courtesan) in Joseon. Jung So-Min will play Hae-Won. She falls in love with Heo Saek. The “Gibang” in the title refers to the place where gisaeng work. Filming for “Gibang Bachelor” begins December, 2018.

“Gibang Bachelor” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.

Teaser trailer and poster added for upcoming movie “Cheer Boys!!” (literal title) starring  Ryusei YokohamaMasaki Nakao and  Toshiki Seto. Movie is based on 2010 novel  “Cheer Danshi!!” by Ryo Asai (“The Kirishima Thing“). In addition, Ayumi Ito, Kurumi Shimizu, Erika Karata and Chihiro Yamamoto have been announced today as supporting performers.

 “Cheer Boys!!” will be released May, 2019 in Japan.

Ji Hyun-Woo & Park Han-Byul cast in MBC drama series “Love in Sadness”

Ji Hyun-Woo and Park Han-Byul are now cast for lead roles in MBC Saturday drama series “Love in Sadness” (literal title). Also cast for second leads are Ryu Soo-Young and Wang Bit-Na. The drama series will follow the relationship between plastic surgeon Seo Jung-Won (Ji Hyun-Woo) and married woman Yoon Ma-Ri (Park Han-Byul). Yoon Ma-Ri is in an abusive relationship and she tries to escape from her husband played by Ryu Soo-Young.

“Love in Sadness” first airs February, 2019 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Saturday 9PM time slot after “A Pledge To God“).
