Teaser trailer for MBC drama series “Item”

First teaser trailer added for upcoming MBC drama series “Item” starring Ju Ji-Hoon, Jin Se-Yun, Kim Kang-Woo and Kim Yoo-Ri. The first teaser trailer features Ju Ji-Hoon as Kang Gon. He works as a prosecutor and attempts to save his niece. In the process, he comes across a c-o-n-s-p-i-r-a-c-y and supernatural powers. The drama series series is based on webcomic “Item” by Min Hyung.

“Item” will first air February, 2019 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Monday & Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Less than Evil“).

Kei Tanaka, Kotaro Yoshida, Kento Hayashi cast in movie “Ossan’s Love: The Movie”

Kei Tanaka, Kotaro Yoshida, Kento Hayashi are cast in movie “Ossan’s Love: The Movie.” The film is a sequel to 2018 TV Asahi drama series “Ossan’s Love.” Also cast in supporting roles for the film are Rio Uchida, Daichi Kaneko, Shuko Ito, Kazuya Kojima, Hidekazu Mashima and Nene Otsuka. All performers announced are reprising their respective roles from the drama series. The drama series follows real estate agent Soichi Haruta (Kei Tanaka). He is straight, but his co-worker Ryota Maki (Kento Hayashi) and married boss Musashi Kurosawa (Kotaro Yoshida) fall in love with him.

Filming for “Ossan’s Love: The Movie” takes place from March, 2019 to May, 2019.

Maryjun Takahashi cast in WOWOW drama series “Dying Eye”

Maryjun Takahashi is cast in WOWOW drama series “Dying Eye” co-starring Haruma Miura. The drama series is based on 2007 novel “Dying Eye” by popular mystery writer Keigo Higashino. Masahiro Kunimoto directs the drama series. For “Dying Eye,” Maryjun Takahashi will play dual characters of Minae Kishinaka and mysterious woman Ruriko. The character of Minae Kishinaka was killed in a car accident which involved bartender Shinsuke Amemura (Haruma Miura).

“Dying Eye” will first air March 16, 2019 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for movie “Kimi wa Tsukiyo ni Hikarikagayaku”

Teaser trailer added for movie “Kimi wa Tsukiyo ni Hikarikagayaku” starring Mei Nagano and Takumi Kitamura. The film is based on novel “Kimi wa Tsukiyo ni Hikarikagayaku” by Tetsuya Sano and directed by Sho Tsukikawa. In the film, Mei Nagano plays high school student Mamizu Watarase. She has “luminescence disease” which causes her to faintly glow under  the moonlight. She doesn’t have much time left to live.

“Kimi wa Tsukiyo ni Hikarikagayaku” will be released March 15, 2019.

Main poster and gosa ceremony for tvN drama series “The Crowned Clown”

Here’s a main poster for upcoming tvN drama series “The Crowned Clown” starring Yeo Jin-Goo and Lee Se-Young. Drama series is a remake of 2012 film “Masquerade” starring Lee Byung-Hun and Han Hyo-Joo.

Meanwhlie, below are photos from the traditional gosa ceremony for the drama series. The gosa ceremony took place November 30, 2018 on set in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province. The ceremony is a shamanistic ritual to prevent misfortune and bring good fortune. At the ceremony,  Yeo Jin-Goo stated “It’s the first time for me that I am shaking like this. I will do my best always.” Lee Se-Young stated “I hope nobody gets hurt in the drama series. I feel gratitude for working with such excellent senior actors, actresses and staff member. I will do my best.”

“The Crowned Clown” first airs January 7, 2019 in South Korea.

Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe and Tomoya Nakamura cast in movie “Murder at Shijinso”

Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe and Tomoya Nakamura are cast in movie “Murder at Shijinso” (literal title). The film is based on 2017 novel “Shijinso no Satsujin” by Masahiro Imamura and directed by Hisashi Kimura. The film have Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe and Tomoya Nakamura playing university students who stay at a pension in the mountains for a summer camp event. Zombies suddenly appear and a locked room murder takes place in the pension.

“Murder at Shijinso” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Jin Young cast in tvN drama series “That Psychometric Guy”

Jin Young from boy band “Got7” is cast in tvN drama series “That Psychometric Guy” (literal title) co-starring Shin Ye-Eun. Jin Young will play lead male character Lee An. The character of Lee An has a special psychometric ability. Whenever he touches someone, he can read their memories. Genre for the drama series will feature a mixture of fantasy, romance, thriller and will be directed by Kim Byung-Soo (“The Bride of Habaek“/”A Korean Odyssey “)

“That Psychometric Guy” first airs sometime during the first half of 2019 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer for movie “Hikinige”

Teaser trailer for movie “Hikinige” starring Masei Nakayama, Hoshi Ishida and Ryoko Kobayashi. “Hikinige” is the second film directed by Yutaka Mizutani who is best known for starring in the long running TV Asahi drama series “Aibou.” This time around, Yutaka Mizutani also writes the original screenplay and plays the father of a hit-and-run victim in the movie. The film looks at the tragic effects a hit-and-run accident causes on a group of people.

“Hikinige” will be released May 10, 2019 in Japan.
