Yo Oizumi is cast in new TBS drama series “No Side” (working title). The rugby themed drama series is based on novel “No Side” by Jun Ikeido (“Hanzawa Naoki“). For “No Side,” Yo Oizumi will play main character Hayato Kimijima. The company where he works assigns him to become the general manager for the company’s rugby team.
“No Side” will first air July, 2019 in Japan.
Main poster and trailer added for movie “Inemuri Iwane” starring Tori Matsuzaka. Movie is based on novel series “Inemuri Iwane Edo Zoshi” by Yasuhide Saeki and directed by Katsuhide Motoki. NHK drama series “Crossing of Heat Haze” is also based on the same novel series.
“Inemuri Iwane” will be released May 17, 2019 in Japan.
Here’s the second teaser poster for upcoming movie “Inseparable Bros” (English title) starring Shin Ha-Kyun, Lee Kwang-Soo and Esom. The film follows the close friendship between a man who is physically handicapped (Shin Ha-Kyung) and a man who is a mental impairment (Lee Kwang-Soo). Movie is directed by Yook Sang-Hyo (“Almost Che“).

Lim Soo-Jung is cast in upcoming tvN drama series “WWW” (English title). For the drama series, Lim Soo-Jung will play lead female character Bae Ta-Mi. Her character works for a web portal website and she is competitive. Actor Chang Ki-Yong was first offered the lead male role, but whether he accepted or not has not yet been announced. Since he is starring in upcoming OCN drama series “Kill It,” it would seem more likely that someone else will be cast for the lead male role.
“WWW” is tentatively scheduled to air sometime during the first half of this year in South Korea.
Yeo Jin-Goo has been offered the lead male role in tvN drama series “Hotel del Luna.” Singer-actress IU has already received an offer to play the lead female role. Currently, Yeo Jin-Goo and IU are considering their offers. If Yeo Jin-Goo accepts, he will play the man who becomes the manager of Hotel del Luna. The CEO of Hotel del Luna would be played by IU if she accepts.
“Hotel del Luna” will first air sometime during the second half of this year in South Korea.
Masataka Kubota and Tsubasa Honda are cast in Fuji TV live-action drama series “Radiation House.” The drama series is based on manga series “Radiation House” by Tomohiro Yokomaku (“The Ringside Story“). Story for “Radiaton House” is set at a general hospital and revolves around a radiographer (Masataka Kubota) and radiologist (Tsubasa Honda).
“Radiation House” first airs April, 2019 in Japan.
Jung Kyoung-Ho, Park Sung-Woong, Lee Seol and Lee El are cast in tvN drama series “When the Devil Calls Your Name” (literal title). The drama series is motivated by classic German play “Faust” by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. For the drama series, Jung Kyoung-Ho will play popular songwriter Ha Rib who makes a pact with the devil. Park Sung-Woong will play top actor Mo Tae-Kang who is possessed by the devil. Lee Seol will play unpopular singer-songwriter Lee Kyung. Lastly, Lee El will play Ji Seo-Young. She is the CEO of an entertainment company which Ha Rib is a client of.
“When the Devil Calls Your Name” first airs sometime during the first half of this year in South Korea.
Main trailer added for movie “Leaving the Scene” (English title) starring Masei Nakayama, Hoshi Ishida and Yutaka Mizutani. Movie is also the second film directed by actor Yutaka Mizutani after 2017 film “Tap: The Last Show.” The theme song for the movie has also been revealed, which is “Kokoro no Komete” by Aoi Teshima, and the theme song appears in the main trailer.

Release date for upcoming movie “Honeybees and Distant Thunder” (literal title) is now set for October 4, 2019 in Japan. In addition, above is the first visuals (still images) of the main cast members: Mayu Matsuoka as Aya Eiden, Tori Matsuzaka as Akashi Takashima, Win Morisaki as Masaru C Revy Anatoru and Oji Suzuka as Jin Kazama. Movie “Honeybees and Distant Thunder” is based on novel “Mitsubachi to Enrai” by Riku Onda. The novel won the 2016 Naoki Prize.
Park Hae-Jin is cast in drama series “Secret” (working title). This is his first acting role since dropping out of now cancelled drama series “Four Men.” Actress Jo Bo-Ah is still considering an offer to play the lead female role. For drama series Park Hae-Jin will play Kang San-Hyeok. He is a member of a 119 emergency rescue team who travel via helicopter. Filming for “Secret” will begin sometime during the first half of 2019.
