Title and supporting cast announced for TBS drama series “Grand Maison Tokyo”

For upcoming TBS drama series starring Takuya Kimura and Kyoka Suzuki, the drama series has been titled “Grand Maison Tokyo.” In addition, supporting cast of Yuta Tamamori (‘Kis-My-Ft2’), Kikunosuke Onoe, Mitsuhiro Oikawa and Ikki Sawamura have been announced. The drama series will follow two chefs Natsuki Obana (Takuya Kimura) and Rinko Hayami (Kyoka Suzuki) who open a restaurant and try to receive 3 stars from Michelin Guide. For supporting actor Yuta Tamamori, he will play Shohei Hirako. He worked as Natsuki Obana’s (Takuya Kimura) pupil at a restaurant in Paris. Now, he works as a chef at a buffet restaurant in a first-class hotel in Japan.

“Grand Maison Tokyo” will first air October, 2019 in Japan (takes over TBS’ 9PM time slot after “No Side Manager“).

Two teaser posters for SBS drama series “Secret Boutique”

Here’s the first two teaser posters for upcoming SBS drama series “Secret Boutique” starring Kim Sun-A and Kim Jae-Young. Both teaser posters shows the shadowy outline of Kim Sun-A as main character Jenny Jang. She works in a public bathhouse and later targets the most powerful person in a chaebol group.

The teaser poster also reveals that “Secret Boutique” will first air September 18, 2019 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot after “Doctor Detective“).

Kanata Hongo & Kie Kitano cast in movie “Sengoku Girl and Kendo Boy”

Kanata Hongo and Kie Kitano are cast in time-travel film “Sengoku Girl and Kendo Boy” (literal title). Movie is directed by Masaki Hamamoto (“Akanezora“). For the movie, Kie Kitano will play swordswoman Yui from the Sengoku period (1467 – 1600). She somehow travels to present day Japan in Oita Prefecture. Kanata Hongo will play Masato Fujii. He is a former kendo national champion and now runs a sake brewery. Filming for the movie began August 16, 2019 in Oita Prefecture and filming will take place in Oita, Usuki and Kitsuki City.

“Sengoku Girl and Kendo Boy” will be released autumn, 2020 in Japan.

Teaser trailer & teaser poster for tvN drama series “Pegasus Market”

First teaser trailer and teaser poster added for upcoming tvN drama series “Pegasus Market” (“Cheap Cheonrima Mart”) starring Lee Dong-Hwi and Kim Byung-Chul. The drama series is based on webcomic “Ssabnida Cheonrimamateu” by Kim Kyu-Sam. Around the 15 second mark of teaser trailer #1, Lee Dong-Hwi’s voice appears and he states “Employee is king. It is cheap. Cheonrima Market.” Meanwhile, below is an early teaser poster for the drama series. Caption on the teaser poster states in Korean “Market next to us is cheaper.”

“Pegasus Market” first airs September 20, 2019 in South Korea.

Trailer & poster for movie “Tokyo Wine Party People”

Trailer and poster added for movie “Tokyo Wine Party People” starring Sayuri Matsumura, Ito Ono and Hayato Onozuka. The film is based on 2017 novel “Tokyo Wine Party People” by Shin Kibayashi. Shin Kibyashi also wrote manga series “Drops of God” (“Kami no Shizuki”) which was adapted into 2009 NTV drama series “Drops of God.” Story for “Tokyo Wine Party People” follows an office worker played by Sayuri Matsumura who becomes interested in wine after attending a Tokyo wine party.

“Tokyo Wine Party People” will be released October 4, 2019 in Japan.

First still images from tvN drama series “Melting Me Softly”

First still images of Ji Chang-Wook and Won Jin-A in tvN drama series “Melting Me Softly” (English title). The still images are from their first day of filming for the drama series. The scene is set in 1994, before the two take part in a 24 hour freezing experiment. Ji Chang-Wook plays Ma Dong-Chan who is the star PD of TV variety show “Infinite Experiment Paradise.” Won Jin-A plays Ko Mi-Ran who is a participant on the variety show.

“Melting Me Softly” will first air sometime in during the second half of this year in South Korea.

First script reading for SBS drama series “Vagabond”

Upcoming SBS drama series “Vagabond,” starring Lee Seung-Gi and Bae Suzy, is now scheduled to first air Friday, September 20, 2019 in South Korea. The drama series was first scheduled to air May, 2019, but filming delays pushed the airing back to this autumn. Filming for the drama series finished May 23, 2019. Currently the cast and staff are working on post-production for the drama series.

Meanwhile, photos above and below are from the first script reading for the drama series. The first script reading took place back on June 2, 2018 in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. The first script reading included Lee Seung-Gi, Bae Suzy, Shin Sung-Rok, Baek Yoon-Sik, Moon Sung-Geun, Kim Min-Jong, Jeong Man-Sik, Hwang Bo-Ra, Moon Jeong-Hee and Jang Hyuk-Jin among others.

Teaser trailer #2 for tvN drama series “The Great Show”

Teaser trailer #2 added for tvN drama series “The Great Show” starring Song Seung-Heon and Lee Sun-Bin. Around the 6 second mark of teaser trailer #2, Song Seung-Heon provides narration in Korean with “My differentiated election strategy. These kids are the only card that will make me go back to the National Assembly. Family costume play for the public. The Great Show.”

Meanwhile, below are the first still images of Song Seung-Heon and Lee Sun-Bin appearing together. The still images are from a scene which has Wie Dae-Han (Song Seung-Heon) and Jung Soo-Hyun (Lee Sun-Bin) meeting for the first time in 13 years. While Wie Dae-Han is trying to get re-elected, Jung Soo-Hyun works as a writer of a current affair TV show.

“The Great Show” first airs August 26, 2019 in South Korea.
