Sol Kyung-Gu & Park Hae-Soo cast in movie “Yacha”

Sol Kyung-Gu & Park Hae-Soo are cast in action film “Yacha.” The film will be directed by Na Hyeon (“The Prison“). Filming for “Yacha” begins December, 2019 in South Korea.

Plot synopsis from AsianWiki: Kang-In (Sol Kyung-Gu) leads a secret NIS operation team in Shenyang, China. His nickname is Yacha, which refers to a fierce ghost who harasses or kills people. Kang-In is cold-blooded man. He achieves his objectives by using any means necessary. Meanwhile, Ji-Hoon (Park Hae-Soo) is a prosecutor in the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office. He follows the law no matter what. He gets demoted to Shenyang, China. There, Ji-Hoon comes up against Kang-In.

Kenta Kiritani & Masahiro Higashide cast in TV Asahi drama series “The Detective and The Prosecutor”

Kenta Kiritani and Masahiro Higashide are cast for lead roles in TV Asahi drama series “The Detective and The Prosecutor” (literal title of “Keiji to Kenji: Shokatsu to Chiken no 24ji”). The drama series has an original screenplay scripted by Yasushi Fukuda (“DOCTORS: The Ultimate Surgeon“) and will be directed by Keita Motohashi & Takuro Oikawa. The drama series will have Kenta Kiritani playing Detective Gota Nakaido and Masahiro Higashide playing Prosecutor Shuhei Majima.

Ep.1 air date for tvN drama series “Money Game,” starring Ko Soo, Lee Sung-Min, & Shim Eun-Kyung, is now set for January, 2020. The drama series will slot into tvN’s Wednesday & Thursday 9:30PM time slot after “Psychopath Diary.” Meanwhile, announcement of the first script reading was released today, which took place several months ago. Actor Cha In-Ha found deceased today

According to the South Korean police, actor Cha In-Ha was found deceased today December 3, 2019 at his home. His body was found by his manager. Cha In-Ha’s exact cause of death has not yet been revealed. Cha In-Ha was appearing in currently airing MBC drama series “Love With Flaws” as major supporting character Joo Won-Suk. Cha In-Ha was 27 years of age before passing away.

Main trailer and poster for movie “Forbidden Dream” starring Choi Min-Sik & Han Suk-Kyu. The main trailer begins with Han Suk-Kyu’s voice as King Sejong and he states in Korean “You made time for Joseon and open the sky of Joseon.” He is referring to historical figure Jang Yeong-Sil played by Choi Min-Sik. The film reunites Choi Min-Sik and Han Suk-Kyu, who last appeared together 20 years ago in action blockbuster film “Shiri.”

“Forbidden Dream” will be released sometime this December in South Korea.

Mizuki Yamamoto cast for in NTV-YTV drama series “Lunch Matchmaking Private Detective”

Mizuki Yamamoto is cast for the lead role in NTV-YTV drama series “Lunch Matchmaking Private Detective” (literal title). The drama series is based on 2014 novel “Kiroi Jou” by Hiromi Mizuki. Also cast in major supporting character roles are Reina Triendl, Yuichi Kimura and Toshiki Seto. For the drama series, Mizuki Yamamoto cut her hair 35 cm. (14 in.) to play the main character of Yuika Amano. She’s an amateur sleuth who tries to solve mysteries during matchmaking luncheons.

“Lunch Matchmaking Private Detective” will consist of 10 episodes and first airs January 9, 2020 in Japan (takes over NTV-YTV’s Friday midnight time slot after “Trap the Con Man“).
