Yuta Kishi cast in movie “G-Men”

Yuta Kishi (King & Prince) is cast for the lead role in live-action film “G-Men.” The film is based on manga series “G-Men” by Toshio Ozawa and directed by Toichiro Ruto (“The Way of the Househusband“). In the movie “G-Men,” Yuta Kishi will be play high school student Shota Kadomatsu. He wants to find a girlfriend and even transfers to a new school in his pursuit, but he is stuck in G class.

“G-Men” will be released sometime during autumn, 2022 in Japan.

Kim Rae-Won, Son Ho-Jun, & Gong Seung-Yeon cast in SBS drama “The Police Station Next to the Fire Station”

Kim Rae-WonSon Ho-Jun, and Gong Seung-Yeon are cast in SBS drama series “The Police Station Next to the Fire Station” (literal title). The drama series will have Kim Rae-Won play Detective Jin Ho-Gae. Son Ho-Jun will play Firefighter Bong Do-Jin and Gong Seung-Yeon will play Paramedic Song Seol. They work together to solve cases.

Filming for “The Police Station Next to the Fire Station” has already begun and the drama series will air sometime during the first half of this year.

Fuka Koshiba cast in TV Asahi drama “Yokai Housemate 2” & movie version

Fuka Koshiba is cast in TV Asahi sequel drama series “Yokai Housemate 2” and movie version “Yokai Housemate.” Also cast for the sequel drama series and movie are MatsumotoKatsuya MaigumaNobue Iketani and Koji Ookura. All the announced cast members appeared in the original 2020 TV Asahi drama series “Yokai Housemate” and will reprise their respective characters.

Drama series “Yokai Housemate 2” will air April, 2022 and the movie version will be released June, 2022 in Japan.

Mei Nagano cast in movie “My Broken Mariko”

Mei Nagano is cast in movie “My Broken Mariko.” Movie is based on webcomic “My Broken Mariko” by Waka Hirako and directed by Yuki Tanada (“One Million Yen and the Nigamushi Woman“). For the movie, Mei Nagano will play Tomoyo Shiino. She steals the remains of her high school friend, who committed suicide, and goes on a trip.

Filming for “My Broken Mariko” has already finished and the movie will be released sometime this autumn in Japan.

Tsubasa Imai, Takashi Tsukamoto, Juon, & Kenjiro Tsuda cast in movie “Tell Me”

Tsubasa ImaiTakashi Tsukamoto, Juon (FUZZY CONTROL), and Kenjiro Tsuda are cast in music biopic film “Tell Me.” The film is based on nonfiction novel “Kyodai Tsuioku no hide” by Hiroshi Matsumoto and directed by Renpei Tsukamoto (“Boku to Kanojo to Rally to“). The film will have Tsubasa Imai playing Hiroshi. His older brother was the late musician Hide (Juon). Hiroshi teams up with producer I.N.A. (Takashi Tsukamoto) to release Hide’s music.

“Tell Me” will be released this summer in Japan.

Teaser trailer & poster for Disney+ drama “Grid”

First teaser trailer and teaser poster added for Disney+ drama series “Grid” starring Seo Kang-Joon & Kim A-Joong. Captions on the teaser posters states “24 years ago, a ghost disappeared like the air. The ghost appeared again” and “Premeditated murder. Different future. Must find.” The drama series follows the premise of a mysterious ghost (Lee Si-Young) who created a grid that blocked the solar wind and saved humankind. The ghost appears again 24 years later and helps a serial killer (Kim Sung-Kyun) escape. Kim Sae-Ha (Seo Kang-Joon), Jung Sae-Byeok (Kim A-Joong ) and Song Eo-Jin (Kim Moo-Yul) chase the ghost for their own reasons. 

“Grid” will stream from February 16, 2022 on Disney+ Korea.
