Raiku cast in TV Tokyo-Paravi drama “Don’t Stop My Beautification”

Raiku is cast in TV Tokyo-Paravi live-action drama series “Don’t Stop My Beautification.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Ore no Bijoka ga Tomaranai⁉” by Mana Aizen. In the the drama series, Raiku will play a young man who moves to Tokyo to attend a university. He stays at a lodging place and meets a woman who turns out to be a man.

“Don’t Stop My Beautification” will be released February 1, 2023 through Paravi and air later this year on TV Tokyo.

First teaser trailer added for tvN drama series “The Heavenly Idol” (English title) starring Kim Min-Kyu & Go Bo-Gyeol. The drama series is based on webcomic  “Sungseureowoon Idol” by Shin Hwa-Jin. Narration in the first teaser trailer has Kim Min-Kyu stating (0:01) “My name is Lembrary who is the Pontifex serving Redlin God,” (0:07) “I don’t know how to dance,” (0:09) “From now on, I am a failed idol Woo Yeon-Woo.”

Namkoong Min & Ahn Eun-Jin cast in MBC drama “Lovers”

Namkoong Min & Ahn Eun-Jin are cast in MBC drama series “Lovers” (literal title). The drama series is set in the 17th century and tells a romance story. The drama series will be directed by Kim Sung-Yong (“The Veil“) and scripted by Hwang Jin-Young (“The Rebel“). Namkoong Min will play Lee Jang-Hyun. He is a mysterious man with a dark secret. Ahn Eun-Jin will play Yoo Gil-Chae. She comes from a noble family and is a confident woman.

“Lovers” will first air sometime later this year in South Korea.

Ra Mi-Ran, Lee Do-Hyun, and Ahn Eun-Jin cast in JTBC drama “Bad Mother”

Ra Mi-Ran, Lee Do-Hyun, and Ahn Eun-Jin are cast in JTBC drama series “Bad Mother” (literal title). The drama series will be directed by Sim Na-Yeon (“Beyond Evil“) and scripted by Bae Se-Young (“Extreme Job“). The family themed drama series follows a mother (Ra Mi-Ran) who was extremely strict on her son, because she didn’t want him to become like her (single mother and running a pig farm). The son became a prosecutor, but an accident causes him to act like a child again and he moves back to his hometown.

“Bad Mother” will first air sometime in the first half of this year in South Korea.

First still images and ep.1 air date set for JTBC drama series “Sacred Divorce” (literal title) starring Cho Seung-Woo & Han Hye-Jin. The first still images are of Cho Seung-Woo as Shin Sung-Han. He works as a lawyer specializing in divorce and he receives requests beyond what is imaginable.

“Sacred Divorce” will first air March 4, 2023 in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Saturday and Sunday 10:30 PM time slot after “Agency“).

Teaser poster and release date for Netflix film “Stolen Identity”

Teaser poster and release date added for Netflix distributed film “Stolen Identity” starring Chun Woo-Hee & Im Si-Wan. Movie is based on 2017 novel “Sumaho o Otoshita dake ” by Akira Shiga, which was previously adapted into 2018 movie “Stolen Identity” starring Keiko Kitagawa and Yudai Chiba. Caption on the just released teaser poster states “Someone is pretending to be you with your smart phone.” Filming for “Stolen Identity” took place from March 21st to June 27th, 2021 and was originally scheduled to be released in theaters, but a decision was later made to release the film on Netflix.

“Stolen Identity” will be available to stream from February 17, 2023.
