Lee Sung-Min, Yoo Yeon-Seok, and Lee Jung-Eun are cast in TVING drama series “Very Lucky Day” (literal title). Drama series is based on on webcomic “Woonsoo Ojin Nal” by Aporia and directed by Pil Gam-Seong (“Hostage: Missing Celebrity“). The drama series will have Lee Sung-Min play a taxi driver who unknowingly drives a killer (Yoo Yeon-Seok) planning to flee the country.
“Very Lucky Day” will be available to stream sometime during the second half of this year in South Korea.

Trailer and poster added for movie “Life of Mariko in Kabukicho” starring Sairi Itoh & Yutaka Takenouchi. The quirky film is set in the bar filled alleyways of Shinjuku Golden Gai in the Kabukicho entertainment district of Shinjuku, Tokyo. Sairi Itoh plays Mariko, who works as a bartender and also a private detective. She gets a job to find an alien. The movie’s theme song has also been announced as “Highball Boogie” by boy band Da-iCE That song is played in the trailer.
“Life of Mariko in Kabukicho” is now set for release June 30, 2023 in Japan.

Jang Hyuk and Jang Na-Ra are cast in tvN drama series “Family.” Also cast in major supporting roles are Chae Jung-An and Kim Nam-Hee. “Family” will mark the 4th time Jang Hyuk and Jang Na-Ra will work together following “Bright Girl’s Success,” “You Are My Destiny,” and “Drama Festival 2014: Old Goodbye.” The drama series “Family” features a family-spy-comedy script with Jang Hyuk playing a secret agent, who holds an ordinary office job by day, and Jang Na-Ra playing his wife.
“Family” will first air April, 2023 in South Korea (taking over tvN’s Monday & Tuesday 9PM time slot after “Our Blooming Youth“).

The drama series is based on webcomic “Banggwa Hoo Jeonjaenghwaldong” by Ha Il-Kwon. Setup for the drama series has high school students having to take up arms to fight against strange aliens that appear in the sky. Drama series is directed by Sung Yong-Il (“Class of Lies“).

Song Joong-Ki & Choi Sung-Eun are cast in Netflix distributed movie “My Name is Loh Kiwan.” The film follows a North Korean defector, played by Song Joong-Ki, who tries to live in Belgium. There, he meets and falls in love with a woman played by Choi Sung-Eun. Also cast in the film for supporting roles are Jo Han-Chul, Kim Sung-Ryoung, Lee Sang-Hee, & Seo Hyun-Woo.
“My Name is Loh Kiwan” will be available to stream on Netflix, but exact release date has not yet been determined.

Han Ji-Hyun is cast for the lead female role in Wavve drama series “Look at Me.” The drama series is scripted by Hwang Ye-Jin (“Secret Mothe“) and directed by film director Ahn Sang-Hoon (“Blind“). Actor Lee Min-Ki has also been offered the lead male role and he is currently “positively considering” the offer. The drama series will have Han Ji-Hyun play ace detective Lee Min-Hyung. She works with a plastic surgeon to solve cases.

Movie is based on manga series “Tokyo Revengers” by Ken Wakui (“Shinjuku Swan“) and directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa (“Sadako 3D“). Meanwhile, the theme song for the movie has been announced as “Graduation” by rock band Super Beaver. That song also appears in the main trailer.

English subtitled teaser trailer and teaser poster added for Netflix distributed movie “Kill Boksoon” starring Jeon Do-Yeon, Sol Kyung-Gu, & Esom. The movie will have its world premiere at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival (February 16-26, 2023) and then will have its general release on March 31, 2023 via Netflix. The film follows Gil Bok-Soon (Jeon Do-Yeon) who is a single mother, raising her daughter Jae-Young. Gil Bok-Soon is also a lethal killer for hire. Gil Bok-Soon plans to retire from her killing career, but she gets involved in a kill or be killed confrontation.
