Main trailer & poster for movie “Adulthood Friends”

Main trailer and poster added for live-action film “Adulthood Friends” starring Mizuki Inoue & Rinka Kumada. Movie is based on manga series “Otona-Najimi” by Aya Nakahara (“Love Complex“). The movie’s theme song has also been announced as “Sweet Melody” by Kis-My-Ft2, which is also featured in the main trailer. The trailer shows Haru Aoyama (Mizuki Inoue) and Kaede Kagaya (Rinka Kumada) having held feelings for each other for a long time, but they don’t know that the other person feels the same way. They get involved in a love triangle with Iori Hasumi (Riku Hagiwara).

“Adulthood Friends” will be released May 12, 2023 in Japan.

Trailer and poster for Netflix drama “From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke”

Trailer and poster added for Netflix live-action drama series “From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke” starring Sara Minami & Oji Suzuka. The drama series is based on manga series “Kimi ni Todoke” by Karuho Shiina, which was previously adapted into 2010 movie “From Me to You” starring Mikako Tabe & Haruma Miura. The theme song for the drama series has also been announced as “Ai no Uta” by Takaya Kawasaki. The theme song is played during the trailer. Meanwhile, announced today as supporting cast members are Jin SuzukiAtsuhiro InukaiKanonKosuke Suzuki Junpei YasuiErika Mabuchi, and Tetta Sugimoto.

“From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke” will be available to stream from March 30, 2023 via Netflix.

Atsuko Maeda, Riko Narumi, & Akihisa Shiono are cast in TV Tokyo live-action drama series “Kashi Mashi Meshi.” The foodie themed drama series is based on manga series “Kashi Mashi Meshii” by Mari Okazaki. The three leads will play former classmates feom an art university, who begin to regularly meet again over meals. The suicide of a former classmate brought them together.

“Kashi Mashi Meshi” first airs April 10, 2023 in Japan.

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “The Dry Spell” starring Toma Ikuta. Movie is based on 1990 novel “Kassui” by Mitsuru Kawabayashi and the screenplay adaptation is written by Shotaro Oikawa (“Chokolietta“). The movie has Toma Ikuta playing city hall water department employee Shunsaku Iwakiri. He encounters two young sisters when he visits a home for non payment on their water bill.

Chun Woo-Hee & Kim Dong-Wook are cast in tvN drama series “Beneficial Fraud” (literal title). The revenge themed drama series will have Chun Woo-Hee play Con Artist Lee Ro-Woom and Kim Dong-Wook play Lawyer Han Moo-Young. They differ greatly in that Lee Ro-Woom does not have any empathy feelings and Kim Dong-Wook has sometimes too much empathy for other people.

“Beneficial Fraud” will first air May 29, 2023 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Monday & Tuesday 8:50 PM time slot after “Our Blooming Youth“).

Masato Sakai cast in TBS drama “Vivant”

Masato Sakai is cast for the lead role in TBS drama series “Vivant.” Hiroshi Abe, Fumi Nikaido, Tori Matsuzaka, and Koji Yakusho are also cast in major supporting character roles. The drama series will be directed by Katsuo Fukuzawa, who worked with lead actor Masato Sakai in hit 2013 TBS drama series “Naoki Hanzawa.” In addition, a teaser trailer and teaser visual has been released for the drama series. The teaser visual has captions that states “Foe or friend? Friend or foe?”

Riku Hagiwara & Reina Triendl cast in TV Asahi drama “Mr. Tsukuyomi’s Forbidden Midnight Snack”

Riku Hagiwara & Reina Triendl are cast in TV Asahi live-action drama series “Mr. Tsukuyomi’s Forbidden Midnight Snack.” The foodie themed drama series is based on on manga series “Tsukuyomi-kun no Kindan Oyashoku” by Nikki Asada. For the just cast lead actors, Riku Hagiwara will play Yuga Tsukuyomi. He works as a a dietary management expert and he loves to cook. Reina Triendl will play Soyogi Mikami. She is a personal trainer who has lost her enthusiasm with eating.
