Kentaro Sakaguchi and Noa Shiroyama cast in NTV drama “Dr. Chocolate”

Kentaro Sakaguchi and Noa Shiroyama are cast in NTV drama series “Dr. Chocolate.” The drama series is by Yusuke Watanabe (“ST MPD Scientific Investigation Squad“). In “Dr. Chocolate,” Kentaro Sakaguchi and Noa Shiroyama will play members of an illegal surgery team for hire. Noa Shiroyama will play 10-year-old genius surgeon Yui Terashima and Kentaro Sakaguchi will play Tetsuya Noda, who leads the team.

“Dr. Chocolate” first airs April, 2023 in Japan (takes over NTV’s Saturday 10PM time slot after “Captured Hospital“).

Jung Ji-So cast in drama “Miss Granny”

Jung Ji-So is cast for the lead role in drama series “Miss Granny.” The drama series is a remake of 2014 movie “Miss Granny” that stars Shim Eun-Kyung & Na Moon-Hee. The film was also remade into 2016 Japanese movie “Sing My Life” that stars Mikako Tabe & Mitsuko Baisho. Basic premise of the “Miss Granny” will follow a woman in her 70’s who mysteriously regains her appearance from her 20’s. She then tries to become a singer. Filming for “Miss Granny” will take place in the first half of this year.

Kim Hyun-Joo, Kim Sung-Cheol, & Kim Shin-Rok cast in Netflix sequel drama series “Hellbound 2”

Kim Hyun-Joo, Kim Sung-Cheol, & Kim Shin-Rok are cast in Netflix sequel drama series “Hellbound 2.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Jiok” by Yeon Sang-Ho and is a sequel to 2021 Netflix drama series “Hellbound.” Actor Kim Sung-Cheol will play the lead villain character of Jung Jin-Soo and replaces Yoo Ah-In who played the same character in season 1. Yoo Ah-In is currently involved in a drug scandal/investigation. Meanwhile, Yang Dong-Geun, Im Sung-Jae, Cho Dong-In, and Moon Geun-Young are also cast to play new characters. Moon Geung-Young will make a special guest appearance as a teacher.

Release date for “Hellbound 2” has not yet been decided.

Teaser trailer #2 added for SBS drama series “The Secret Romantic Guesthouse” starring Shin Ye-Eun & Ryeo Un. The teaser trailer begins with King Lee Chang’s (Hyun Woo) asking “Lee Seol has appeared in Hanyang? Who do you think will be king? There must be someone who come to your mind. Who is that?” Lee Seol is the deposed crown prince’s oldest son and he has been missing during King Lee Chang’s ascension to the throne. Main trailer and poster added for live-action film “Adulthood Friends” starring Mizuki Inoue & Rinka Kumada. Movie is based on manga series “Otona-Najimi” by Aya Nakahara (“Love Complex“). The movie’s theme song has also been announced as “Sweet Melody” by Kis-My-Ft2, which is also featured in the main trailer. The trailer shows Haru Aoyama (Mizuki Inoue) and Kaede Kagaya (Rinka Kumada) having held feelings for each other for a long time, but they don’t know that the other person feels the same way. They get involved in a love triangle with Iori Hasumi (Riku Hagiwara).

“Adulthood Friends” will be released May 12, 2023 in Japan.

Trailer and poster added for Netflix live-action drama series “From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke” starring Sara Minami & Oji Suzuka. The drama series is based on manga series “Kimi ni Todoke” by Karuho Shiina, which was previously adapted into 2010 movie “From Me to You” starring Mikako Tabe & Haruma Miura. The theme song for the drama series has also been announced as “Ai no Uta” by Takaya Kawasaki. The theme song is played during the trailer. Atsuko Maeda, Riko Narumi, & Akihisa Shiono are cast in TV Tokyo live-action drama series “Kashi Mashi Meshi.” The foodie themed drama series is based on manga series “Kashi Mashi Meshii” by Mari Okazaki. The three leads will play former classmates feom an art university, who begin to regularly meet again over meals. The suicide of a former classmate brought them together.
