Teaser trailer for JTBC drama “The Good Bad Mother”

First teaser trailer added for JTBC drama series “The Good Bad Mother” starring Ra Mi-Ran & Lee Do-Hyun. In addition, actor Cho Jin-Woong is now cast for the drama series to play Choi Hae-Sik. His character is the husband of Jin Young-Soon (Ra Mi-Ran) and the father of Choi Kang-Ho (Lee Do-Hyun). He is a warm-hearted person and runs a pig farm. Meanwhile, the teaser trailer begins with an anonymous child’s voice stating “Once upon a time, Young-Soon came to Jowoori village and gave birth to baby Kang-Ho.”

“The Good Bad Mother” will first air April 26, 2023 in South Korea.

Trailer added for movie “Hamon” starring Mariko Tsutsui & Ken Mitsuishi. Movie is written and directed by Naoko Ogigami (“Riverside Mukolitta“). Captions in the main trailer states (0:11) “Husband went missing,” (0:22) “Husband is back,” (0:29) “Man who abandoned his family,” (0:31) “He got cancer,” (0:38) “Daily life falls apart,” (0:49) “Hate,” and (1:18) “Laugh at despair.”

“Hamon” will be released May 26, 2023 in Japan.

Esom & Ahn Jae-Hong cast in TVING drama “LTNS”

Esom & Ahn Jae-Hong are cast in TVING drama series “LTNS.” The comedy drama series will be scripted and directed by Lim Dae-Hyung (“Moonlit Winter“) & Jeon Go-Woon (“The Queen of Crime“). Jeon Go-Woon also scripted and directed 2018 movie “Microhabitat,” which starred Esom and Ahn Jae-Hong. For drama series “LTNS” (which is a working title and stands for “Long Time No Sex”), Esom and Ahn Jae-Hong will play a married couple. They learn that someone they know is having an affair and attempt to blackmail them.

“LTNS” will be available to stream sometime during the second half of this year in South Korea.

Yoon Hyun-Soo, Lee Jung-Sic cast in TVING drama “Running Mate.”

Yoon Hyun-Soo, Lee Jung-Sic, Choi Woo-Sung, & Hong Hwa-Yeon are cast in TVING drama series “Running Mate.” The drama series will mark the directorial debut of Han Jin-Won, who co-wrote award-winning film “Parasite” with Bong Joon-Ho. Also cast for the drama series are Lee Bong-Joon, Kim Ji-Woo, Ok Jin-Wook, Yoon Do-Gun. The drama series is set over a one month period, where student Se-Hoon runs for the student council.

“Running Mate” will be available to stream sometime next year in South Korea.

Kwon Sang-Woo, Kim Hee-Won cast in Disney+ drama “Han River”

Kwon Sang-Woo, Kim Hee-Won, Lee Sang-Yi, Bae Da-Bin, and Shin Hyun-Seung are cast in Disney+ drama series “Han River” (literal title). The drama series will be set at a police station along the Han River. Kwon Sang-Woo, Kim Hee-Won, Bae Da-Bin, and Shin Hyun-Seung will play police officers who work there. Lee Sang-Yi will play Go Gi-Seok, who isn’t a police officer.

“Han River” will be available to stream sometime in the second half of this year.

Song Hye-Kyo & Han So-Hee cast in drama “The Price of Confession”

Song Hye-Kyo and Han So-Hee are cast in drama series “The Price of Confession” (literal title). The drama series will be directed by Sim Na-Yeon (“Beyond Evil“) and scripted by Kwon Jong-Kwan (“Sad Movie“). Han So-Hee hinted at the casting yesterday, when Song Hye-Kyo posted photos of herself on Instagram from “The Glory Part 2” and Han So-Hee left a comment on her post in Korean that stated “Now it’s mine.”

Release date and broadcast network for “The Price of Confession” has not yet been decideed.

First script reading for SBS drama “Dr. Romantic 3”

First script reading for SBS drama series “Dr. Romantic 3” starring Han Suk-Kyu, Ahn Hyo-Seop, & Lee Sung-Kyung, took place October, 2022 in South Korea. Attending the first script reading included Han Suk-Kyu, Ahn Hyo-Seop, Lee Sung-Kyung, Kim Joo-Hun, So Ju-Yeon, Jin Kyung, Lim Won-Hee, Byeon Woo-Min, Yoon Na-Moo, Shin Dong-Wook, Ko Sang-Ho, Yoon Bo-Ra, Jung Ji-Ahn, Lee Sin-Young, & Lee Hong-Nae, who are all reprising roles from Dr. Romantic 2. Playing new characters in season 3 and attending the first script reading were Lee Sin-Young and Lee Hong-Nae. Actor Kim Min-Jae, who appeared in the first two seasons of “Dr. Romantic,” did not attend the first script reading due to scheduling issues, but will appear in season 3. Han Suk-Kyu stated during the first script reading “I want to make season 3 fun again with you guys. Thank you for making season 3.”

“Dr. Romantic 3” will first air April, 2023 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Friday & Saturday 10PM time slot after “Taxi Driver 2“).
