Teaser trailer and poster for movie “Ai ni Inazuma” starring Mayu Matsuoka and Masataka Kubota. The movie is written and directed by Yuya Ishii (“Mitsuko Delivers“). The movie’s theme song has also been announced as “Kokoro no Mamani” by rock group Elephant Kashimashi. “Kokoro no Mamani” is also featured in the teaser trailer. The teaser trailer starts with captions that states “Two people who met by fate.”

“Ai ni Inazuma” will be released October 27, 2023 in Japan.

Kim Ha-Neul & Rain cast in Disney+ drama “Hwain Family Scandal”

Kim Ha-Neul and Rain are cast in new Disney+ drama series “Hwain Family Scandal” (literal title). The drama series will be directed by Park Hong-Kyun (“The Great Queen Seondeok“) and scripted by Choi Yoon-Jung (“Only Love“). In “Hwain Family Scandal,” Kim Ha-Neul will play Wan-Soo. She runs a charity foundation and is married to a chaebol successor. Rain will play Bodyguard Do-Yoon. The two main characters come across a secret held by Wan-Soo’s wealthy in-laws.

Airdates for “Hwain Family Scandal” has not yet been decided.

Jung Woo & Bae Hyun-Sung cast in JTBC drama “Miracle Brothers”

Jung Woo and Bae Hyun-Sung are cast in JTBC drama series “Miracle Brothers” (literal title). The drama series will be directed by Park Chan-Hong and scripted by Kim Ji-Woo. The duo of Park Chan-Hong and Kim Ji-Woo have worked together for over 20 years with such titles as “Over the Green Fields,” “Don’t Look Back : The Legend of Orpheus,” and “Memory.” The screenplay for “Miracle Brothers” will have Jung Woo playing a hot-tempered fledgling writer and Bae Hyun-Sung a mysterious young man with a special ability .

“Miracle Brothers” will first air June 28, 2023 in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Wednesday and Thursday 10:30 PM time slot after “The Good Bad Mother.”).

Seiyo Uchino and Kana Kita are cast in movie “Shunga Sensei.” The film is written and directed by Akihiko Shiota (“Farewell Song“) and revolves around shunga (erotic art that was popular during the Edo period). Seiyo Uchino will play Ichiro Haga, who is a reclusive teacher of shunga. Kana Kita will play Yumiko Haruno. She works as a waitress and meets Ichiro Haga while working at her job.

“Shunga Sensei” will be released October 13, 2023 in Japan.

Teaser trailer 3 added for KBS2 drama series “Heartbeat” starring TaecYeon & Won Ji-An. The teaser trailer begins with an anonymous voice stating “Find the man on the border between human and vampire. His blood will give eternal life. If you consume his blood, you will be immortal.” Won Ji-An also states around the 10 second mark “We’ll be able to see each other again. I’ll come to you.”

Kentaro Sakaguchi and Shota Sometani are cast in NTV drama series “Code.” The drama is scripted by Masaaki Sakai (“Kei x Yaku: Dangerous Buddy“) & Yoshitatsu Yamada (“The Journalist“) and directed by Junichi Mori (“Little Forest: Summer & Autumn“) & Hisashi Kimura (“99.9 Criminal Lawyer“). The mystery-suspense drama series will have will Kentaro Sakaguchi play Detective Minato Ninomiya. After the death of his pregnant girlfriend, he looks into a mysterious app named Code.

Sosuke Ikematsu, Taiga Nakano, & Daichi Watanabe cast in Disney+ drama “Kisetsu no Nai Machi”

Sosuke Ikematsu, Taiga Nakano, and Daichi Watanabe are cast in Disney+ drama series “Kisetsu no Nai Machi.” The drama series is based on 1962 novel “Kisetsu no Nai Machi” by Shugoro Yamamoto, which was previously adapted into 1970 movie “Dodesukaden” by Akira Kurosawa. Kankuro Kudo writes and directs the Disney+ drama series version. The story is set within an area of temporary housing that was built after a disaster 12 years earlier.

“Kisetsu no Nai Machi” will have all 10 episodes available to stream from August 9, 2023.

Teaser trailer and poster for ENA drama “Lies Hidden In My Garden”

First teaser trailer and poster added for ENA drama series “Lies Hidden In My Garden” starring Kim Tae-Hee & Lim Ji-Yeon. The drama series is based on novel 2018 novel “Madangyi Itneun Jib” by Kim Jin-Young. The teaser poster shows two women played by Kim Tae-Hee and Lim Ji-Yeon who seem to be completely different from each other, but share a similarity with each wearing the same scarf. Caption on the teaser poster states “Dead body smell comes from the garden.” Voices in teaser 1 states (0:03) Kim Tae-Hee “Don’t you smell something bad?” and (0:14) Lim Ji-Yeon “Have you ever killed anyone?”
