Teaser trailer added for SBS drama series “My Demon” starring Kim You-Jun and Song Kang. Sadao Abe, Riisa Naka, Hayato Isomura, and Yo Yoshida cast in TBS drama “Futekisetsu ni mo Hodo ga Aru”

Sadao Abe, Riisa Naka, Hayato Isomura, and Yo Yoshida are cast in TBS drama series “Futekisetsu ni mo Hodo ga Aru.” The comedy time-travel screenplay is written by Kankuro Kudo and directed by Fuminori Kaneko. Kanjuro Kudo and Fuminori Kaneko most recently worked together for 2023 Netflix drama series “Let’s Get Divorced.” In “Futekisetsu ni mo Hodo ga Aru,” Sadao Abe will play Ichiro Ogawa. He has a nickname of “Ogawa of Hell,” due to his abrasive nature as a middle school teacher, but he is also caring single parent. He travels in time from the year 1986 to 2024. Yo Yoshida will play Sakae Sakisaka. She travels in time from the year 2024 to 1986.

“Futekisetsu ni mo Hodo ga Aru” will first air January, 2024 in Japan (takes over TBS’ Friday 10PM time slot after “Fermat’s Cuisine“).

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “Alienoid: Part 2” starring Ryoo Joon-Yeol, Kim Woo-Bin, and Kim Tae-Ri. Movie is a sequel to 2022 movie “Alienoid” and directed by Choi Dong-Hoon. The teaser trailer starts with Kim Tae-Ri stating “We fonud the Divine Blade. We need to find Thunder and we must go back to the future.” Caption on the teaser poster states “We must go back to protect everyone.”

Cha Joo-Young and Lee Hyun-Wook cast in tvN drama “Wongyeong”

Cha Joo-Young and Lee Hyun-Wook are cast in tvN drama series “Wongyeong.” The drama series is based on the life of Queen Wongyeong (August 6, 1365 – August 27, 1420). Cha Joo-Young will play title character Wongyeong and Lee Hyun-Wook will play her husband King Taejong. The drama series is scripted by Lee Young-Mi and directed by Kim Sang-Ho. Screenwriter Lee Young-Mi and Director Kim Sang-Ho previously worked together for 2020 tvN drama series “Money Game.”

“Wongyeong” will air sometime next year in South Korea.

Kim Nam-Gil & Kim Young-Kwang cast in Netflix drama “Trigger”

Kim Nam-Gil & Kim Young-Kwang are cast in Netflix drama series “Trigger.” The drama series is scripted and directed by Kwon Oh-Seung (“Midnight“). Story for “Trigger” will be set under the premise of a sudden influx of illegal guns coming into South Korea. Kim Nam-Gil will play Detective Yi-Do. He investigates a serial gun shooting case and tries to find the source of the guns. Kim Young-Kwan will play Moon-Baek. He is a dealer of illegal guns. These two men eventually face off.

“Trigger” will be available to stream sometime next year.

Kim Ha-Neul cast in KBS2 drama “Let Me Grab You by the Collar”

Kim Ha-Neul is cast in KBS2 drama series “Let Me Grab You by the Collar” (working & literal title). The drama series is based on web novel “Oanyu: Myeoksal Hanbeon Jabhibshida” by Nyureoki. Actor Yeon Woo-Jin has received an offer to play the lead male role and he is currently considering the offer. The screenplay for “Let Me Grab You by the Collar” is setup as a thriller with Kim Ha-Neul playing Seo Jung-Won. She is a famous journalist and has revealed numerous scoops on her currents event TV program. Her life changes, when it is revealed her husband’s mistress has died and she becomes the suspect in the mistress’s death.

Park Min-Young and Na In-Woo cast in tvN drama “Marry My Husband”

Park Min-Young and Na In-Woo are cast for lead roles in tvN drama series “Marry My Husband” (literal title). Lee Yi-Kyung, Song Ha-Yoon, Lee Gi-Kwang, & Gong Min-Jung are cast also cast in major supporting character roles. The fantasy drama series is based on webcomic “Nae Nampyeongwa Gyeolhonhaejweo” by Seong So Jak and directed by Park Won-Gook (“Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist“). Park Min-Young will play Kang Ji-Won for “Marry My Husband.” She is killed by her husband, but wakes up 10 years earlier when she was only dating him. Na In-Woo will play Yoo Ji-Hyeok. He is a co-worker of Kang Ji-Won and has a crush on her.

“Marry My Husband” will first air January 1, 2024 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Monday and Tuesday 8:50 PM time slot after “A Bloody Lucky Day“).

Lee Sun-Kyun drops out of drama “No Way Out”

Actor Lee Sun-Kyun has dropped out of upcoming drama series “No Way Out” due to his involvement in a drug investigation by the Incheon Police. The drama series “No Way Out” co-stars Yoo Jae-Myung, Kim Moo-Yul, & Lee Kwang-Soo and is scripted by Lee Su-Jin (“Han Gong-Ju“). Lee Sun-Kyun is currently involved in a drug investigation by the The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency. His name came up while the police investigated the use of drugs at Gangnam area host bars. Lee Sun-Kyung also filed a report with the Incheon Police last week that he was being blackmailed by suspects in the drug investigation. Meanwhile, filming for “No Way Out” began October 16, 2023 and the Incheon Police revealed their drug investigation on October 18, 2023. Lee Sun-Kyun did not film any scenes for the drama series prior to his departure as he was scheduled to begin filming on October 21, 2023. A two week hiatus is to take place for the filming of the drama series while the production team seeks to find a replacement for Lee Sun-Kyun.

Teaser trailer added for Disney+ drama series “Dragons of Wonder Hatch” starring Sena Nakajima & Daiken Okudaira. The fantasy drama series combines a mixture of live-action and animation. The teaser trailer begins with Sena Nakajima as Nagi stating (0:18) “I want to dream, but I have grown up in a world where they don’t let me dream.” Meanwhile four supporting cast members have also been announced: Rena Tanaka, Masaki Miura, Riko Narumi, & Sumire. Rena Tanaka will play Hana. She is the late mother of Nagi (Sena Nakajima) and was a popular mangaka. Masaki Miura will play Taichi. He is the father of Nagi and raised Nagi by himself. Riko Narumi will play Ayana and she works as a public defender. Lastly, Sumire will play Saira. She lives in the alternate world Upananta and works as a researcher.

“Dragons of Wonder Hatch” will be available to stream from December 20, 2023.
