Park Jeong-Min and Kim Ji-Soo cast in Coupang Play drama “Newtopia”

Park Jeong-Min and Kim Ji-Soo from Blackpink are cast in Coupang Play drama series “Newtopia.” The drama series revolves around a virus outbreak that causes infectees to become zombies. Park Jeong-Min and Kim Ji-Soo will play boyfriend and girlfriend who try meet up during the chaos. Below are the first still images of the two leads in the drama series.

Announcement teaser trailer and release date set for Netflix drama series “Squid Game 2” starring Lee Jung-Jae, Lee Byung-Hun, & Wi Ha-Joon. It has been 3 years since the first season of “Squid Game” was released and the teaser trailer has Front Man standing in front of a running track and asking “It’s been three years. Are you ready to play again?”

“Squid Game 2” will be available to stream December 26, 2024 and “Squid Game 3” will be released sometime in 2025.

Jeon Do-Yeon, Kim Go-Eun, Park Hae-Soo, and Jin Sun-Kyu are cast in Netflix mystery-thriller drama series “The Price of Confession.” Jeon Do-Yeon will play An Yoon-Soo. She is convicted of murdering her husband, but claims she is innocent. In prison, she meets Mo Eun played by Kim Go-Eun. Mo Eun is known as the witch, because of her uncanny ability to read other people. They make a deal. The drama series will be directed by Lee Jung-Hyo (“Doona!“).

First teaser trailer added for MBC drama series “Such A Close Traitor” (literal title) starring Han Suk-Kyu & Chae Won-Bin. The screenplay, written by newcomer Han A-Young, won the MBC Drama Script Contest in 2021. Setup for the drama series has Han Suk-Kyu playing criminal profiler Jang Tae-Soo. Ko Hyun-Jung & Jang Dong-Yoon cast in SBS drama “The Mantis”

Ko Hyun-Jung & Jang Dong-Yoon are cast in SBS drama series “The Mantis” (literal title). The drama series is a remake of French TV series “La Mante.” Byun Young-Joo (“Helpless“) will direct the drama series and the screenplay adaptation will be written by Lee Young-Jong (“The Flu“). For “The Mantis,” Ko Hyun-Jung will play Jung Yi-Shin. She is serial killer, who killed 5 men about 20 years ago, and also a mother. Jang Dong-Yoon will play Cha Soo-Yeol. He is a police officer and the son of Jung Yi-Shin.

“The Mantis” will air sometime next year in South Korea.
