Lee Joon-Hyuk & Jang Dong-Yoon cast in tvN drama series “A Poem A Day”

Lee Joon-Hyuk & Jang Dong-Yoon are cast in tvN drama series “A Poem A Day” co-starring Lee Yoo-Bi. For the medical themed drama series, Lee Joon-Hyuk will play Ye Je-Wook. He works as a physical therapist. He likes to speak efficiently with an expressionless face and he also keeps people at a distance due to a painful past.

Jang Dong-Yoon will play Shin Min-Ho. He and Woo Bo-Young (Lee Yoo-Bi) studied physical therapy together at the same school. Woo Bo-Young had a secret crush on him back then. Now Shin Min-Ho begins training at the same hospital where Woo Bo-Young works. Actor Gong Myung was first offered the role of Shin Min-Ho, but he declined.

In addition, Shin Jae-Ha is cast to play supporting character Kim Nam-Woo. He is a friend of Shin Min-Ho.

“A Poem A Day” will first air late March, 2018 (takes over tvN’s Monday and Tuesday 9:30 PM time slot after “Cross.”).

Cho Seung-Woo & Lee Dong-Wook cast in JTBC drama series “Life”

Cho Seung-Woo & Lee Dong-Wook are cast in new JTBC drama series “Life” (Korean English title). The two actors will play lead male roles. Story for the drama series is set at a hospital and the screenplay is written by Lee Soo-Yeon. Cho Seung-Woo and screenwriter Lee Soo-Yeon previously worked together in 2017 tvN drama series “Stranger.” For drama series “Life,” Cho Seung-Woo will play a hospital chief director and Lee Dong-Wook will play a doctor.

“Life” will air sometime this year in South Korea.

Teaser trailers for tvN drama special “Not Played”

3 teaser trailers added for upcoming tvN drama special “Not Played” starring Won Mi-Kyung, Lee Hee-Joon and Myung Gye-Nam. The drama special is the 7th installment in tvN’s “Drama Stage” series to discover talented new storytellers.  Story for “Not Played” follows an older woman (Won Mi-Kyung) who picks up a cleaning job at billiard hall. The woman it seems has an undiscovered talent for shooting pool.

“Not Played” airs January 13, 2018 in South Korea.

Han Ga-In is cast in OCN remake drama series “Mistress”

Han Ga-In is cast in upcoming OCN remake drama series “Mistress.” The drama series is a remake of BBC television series “Mistresses.” For the OCN drama series version, Han Ga-In will play Se-Yeon. She lives with her daughter after her husband died in an accident. Se-Yeon is the character of Trudi Malloy in the original BBC television series.

“Mistress” will first air April, 2018 in South Korea.

Ep.3 of “A Korean Odyssey” to air January 6, 2018

tvN has announced that ep.3 of “A Korean Odyssey” will air Saturday, January 6, 2018. Ep.3 was originally scheduled to air on Saturday, December 30, 2017, but a series of errors, glitches and one serious injury of a crew member caused filming to be paused while additional safety measures were implemented. The Korean media learned on December 26, 2017 that a crew member fell about 3 meters (10 feet) while hanging a chandelier on December 23, 2017 and became paralyzed. This follows an error prone airing of ep.2 on Sunday, December 24, 2017 which caused tvN to re-air ep.2 on Monday, December 25, 2017. “A Korean Odyssey” is a highly anticipated drama series that is a remake of classic Chinese novel “Journey to the West” and stars Lee Seung-Gi, Cha Seung-Won and Oh Yeon-Seo.

Kim Min-Jae cast in MBC drama series “Great Seducer”

Kim Min-Jae is cast for a major supporting character role in MBC drama series “Great Seducer.” He will join main cast members Woo Do-Hwan, Joy (‘Red Velvet’) and Mun Ka-Young. For the drama series, Kim Min-Jae will play Lee Se-Joo. He is the son of a family who runs a large company and he is planning to study abroad. He is a friend of Kwon Shi-Hyun (Woo Do-Hwan), but their relationship changes due to love. “Great Seducer” is based on French novel “Les Liaisons dangereuses” by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos.

“Great Seducer” is now set to first air March 12, 2018 in South Korea. The drama series will air a week later than originally planned to allow more time for filming. MBC drama series “Let’s Hold Hands Tightly and Watch The Sunset” will also air a week later than originally planned, now set to March 14, 2018, to allow more time for filming.

Kim Hyun-Joo offered lead female role in KBS2 drama series “Miracle That We Met”

Kim Hyun-Joo has been offered the lead female role in upcoming KBS2 drama series “Miracle That We Met” (literal title). Actor Kim Myung-Min and actress Ra Mi-Ran have already received offers to play lead male character and major supporting character roles respectively. Currently, all three performers are considering their offers. If Kim Hyun-Joo accepts, she will play Sun Hye-Jin. She fell in love with a man and married him, but her life faces a crisis.

“Miracle That We Met” will first air April, 2018 in KBS2’s Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot (follows the conclusion of “Radio Romance“).

First script reading for JTBC drama series “Eulachacha Waikiki”

First script reading for upcoming JTBC drama series “Eulachacha Waikiki” took place December 18, 2017 at JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. Main cast members including Kim Jung-Hyun, Lee Yi-Kyung, Son Seung-Won, Jung In-Sun, Go Won-Hee and Lee Joo-Woo attended.

Story for “Eulachacha Waikiki” has three friends, Kang Dong-Goo (Kim Jung-Hyun), Cheon Joon-Ki (Lee Yi-Kyung) and Bong-Doo-Sik (Son Seung-Won), running guest house Waikiki, but the guest house is facing bankruptcy. A single mother Yoon-A (Jung In-Sun) and her 3-month-old daughter then appear at Waikiki.

“Eulachacha Waikiki” is now set to first air February 5, 2018 in South Korea.
