Jung In-Sun, Go Won-Hee and Lee Joo-Woo cast in JTBC drama series “Eulachacha Waikiki”

Jung In-Sun, Go Won-Hee and Lee Joo-Woo are cast for lead female roles in upcoming JTBC drama series “Eulachacha Waikiki.” They will join already cast lead male actors Kim Jung-Hyun, Lee Yi-Kyung and Son Seung-Won. Story for the drama series is set around the guest house “Waikiki” run by three men.

For “Eulachacha Waikiki,” Jung In-Sun plays Yoon-A. Her character is a mysterious single mother and she suddenly appears at the guest house Waikiki.

Go Won-Hee plays Kang Seo-Jin. She is the younger sister of Kang Dong-Goo (Kim Jung-Hyun)and she is preparing to become a reporter.

Lee Joo-Woo plays Min Soo-A. She is the ex-girlfriend of Kang Dong-Goo. She works as a model for an internet shopping mall. She is also easily deceived.

“Eulachacha Waikiki” first airs February, 2018 in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Monday and Tuesday 11PM time slot after “Just Between Lovers“).

First script reading for KBS2 drama series “Radio Romance”

First script reading for upcoming KBS2 drama series “Radio Romance” took place December 19, 2017 at KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea. At the first script reading, main cast members including Yoon Doo-Joon (‘Highlight’), Kim So-Hyun, Yoon Park, Yura (‘Girl’s Day’), Ha-Joon and Kwak Dong-Yeon all attended. Before the first script reading started, Yoon Doo-Joon stated “I think working together means a lot. I hope we work hard, smile until we finish the drama series.” Kim So-Hyun stated “This is my first role since I turned 20-years-old and became an adult. I will work hard.” In the drama series, Kim So-Hyun plays radio program screenwriter Song Geu-Rim. For a radio program, she casts top actor Ji Soo-Ho played by Yoon Doo-Joon.

“Radio Romance” first airs January, 2018 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Jugglers“).

Woo Do-Hwan and Joy are cast in MBC drama series “Great Seducer”

Woo Do-Hwan and Joy (‘Red Velvet’) are now cast for lead roles in MBC drama series “Great Seducer.” The drama series is based on classic 18th century French novel “Les Liaisons dangereuses.” For the drama series, Woo Do-Hwan will play Kwon Shi-Hyun. He bets his life on a cruel and dangerous game to seduce Eun Tae-Hee played by Joy.

In addition, Mun Ka-Young is cast to play a supporting role. She will play Choi Soo-Ji. She is the daughter of a hospital director. She is popular, but scared of being left alone.

“Great Seducer” first airs sometime during the first half of 2018 in South Korea.

Seo Kang-Joon offered lead role in live-action drama series “Something About Us”

Seo Kang-Joon has been offered the lead male role in live-action drama series “Something About Us.” Currently, Seo Kang-Joon is considering the offer. If he accepts, he will play Han Woo-Jin. He is a college student and best friends with Do Ga-Young. Everyone around them asks if they are dating, but they insist they are just best friends. He then leaves for the military and returns two years later. When he returns, their relationship changes and Do Ga-Young begins liking him. “Something About Us” is based on webcomic “Woori Sai Neueun” by Lee Yun-Ji. Air date, broadcasting network and additional cast members have yet to be decided.

Woo Do-Hwan and Joy offered lead roles in MBC drama series “Great Seducer”

Woo Do-Hwan and Joy have been offered lead roles in upcoming MBC drama series “Great Seducer” (working title). The drama series previously went under the early working title of “Love Game: The Great Seduction.” If Woo Do-Hwan accepts the offer, he will play Kwon Shi-Hyun. His character is the sole successor of JK company, but he faces a crisis as he is being pushed out as the successor. If Joy accepts, she will play Eun Tae-Hee. The drama series is based on classic French novel “Les Liaisons dangereuses” by Choderlos de Laclo.

According to MBC, filming will begin early next year and the drama series will air sometime during the first half of next year.

Ep.4 of tvN drama series “A Korean Odyssey” to air one week later

Production staff for currently airing “A Korean Odyssey” has apologized for a series of glitches that marred the airing of ep.2 on Sunday, December 24, 2017. In a scene with Jin Sun-Min (Oh Yeon-Seo) singing on stage, the wire line holding the flying black spirits up were clearly visible and ads suddenly ran for more than 10 minutes. Ep.2 re-aired on Monday, December 25, 2017 at 6:10 PM without any of the above mentioned glitches. An apology for the glitches that aired on ep.2 was posted on tvN’s official website.

In addition, ep.4 of “A Korean Odyssey,” which was originally scheduled to air Sunday, December 31, 2017, will now air Saturday, January 6, 2018. The one week delay is to allow improvement in the production of the drama series and avoid any of the glitches that marred ep.2.

Trailer for tvN drama special “Today I Grab the Tambourine Again”

Trailer added for tvN drama special “Today I Grab the Tambourine Again” (literal title) starring Park Hee-Von and Lee Mi-So. The drama special is the 5th installment in tvN’s Drama Stage series. The series will have 10 episodes in all. Story for “Today I Grab the Tambourine Again” follows Oh Moon-Sook (Park Hee-Von) as she struggles to make the jump from a contract worker to a full-time employee at a bank.

“Today I Grab the Tambourine Again” airs December 30, 2017 in South Korea.

KBS2 drama series “Queen of Mystery 2” to air from February 21, 2018

KBS2 is set to air sequel drama series “Queen of Mystery 2” from February 21, 2018 in South Korea. The drama series will air on Wednesday & Thursdays at 10PM following the conclusion of “Black Knight: The Man Who Guards Me.” There is about a month gap from the end of “Black Knight: The Man Who Guards Me” to the start of “Queen of Mystery 2” which will be filled by the 2018 Winter Olympics coverage taking place in PyeongChang, South Korea. “Queen of Mystery 2” features the return of housewife Yoo Seol-Ok (Choi Gang-Hee) and detective Ha Wan-Seung (Kwon Sang-Woo) working together to solve mystery cases.

Meanwhile, KBS2 is currently considering drama series “Suits” to take over the Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot after “Queen of Mystery 2,” beginning April, 2018.
