Two new teaser trailers for OCN drama series “Rugal”

Two new teaser trailers added for OCN drama series “Rugal” starring Choi Jin-Hyuk and Park Sung-Woong. Teaser trailer #2 features Choi Jin-Hyuk as Kang Ki-Beom. Choi Jin-Hyuk’s voice appears and he states “Bad Guy? Whenever I see them, I catch them.” Teaser trailer #3 features Park Sung-Woong as Hwang Deuk-Koo. He narrates with “You can not do anything with just anger.”

“Rugal” first airs March 16, 2020 in South Korea.

Ep.1 air date for tvN drama series “A Piece of Your Mind”

Ep.1 air date has been set for upcoming tvN drama series “A Piece of Your Mind” (English title) starring Jung Hae-In & Chae Soo-Bin. The drama series, previously went under the literal title of “Half of a Half,” will first air March 23, 2020 in South Korea. “A Piece of Your Mind” will air after the conclusion of “The Cursed” on Mondays and Tuesdays, but into a new 9PM time slot (rather than 9:30 PM time slot for the “The Cursed”). Story for “A Piece of Your Mind” will depict the romance between AI programmer Ha Won (Jung Hae-In) and music recording engineer Han Seo-Woo (Chae Soo-Bin).

Kim Yo-Han cast in KBS2 drama series “School 2020”

Kim Yo-Han (former member of ‘X1’) is cast for the lead male role in KBS2 drama series “School 2020.” This is his first acting role. Before Kim Yo-Han took part in TV reality show “Produce X 101” and become an idol member with X1, he was a backup athlete on the national taekwondo team. He is also a 2 times winner of the National Youth Sports Festival in taekwondo. His taekwondo background is pertinent to the drama series, because he plays a character who is a former taekwondo athlete and then enrolls in a vocational school. Filming for “School 2020” will begin March, 2020.

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: “School 2020” follows the life and growth of students at a vocational high school, including Kim Tae-Jin (Kim Yo-Han) and Na Geum-Young.

Kim Tae-Jin was once a taekwondo player and he won the bronze medal at the National Athletics Competition, but he had a serious ankle injury. Around this time, his father’s business went bankrupt. Kim Tae-Jin quit taekwondo and he entered the vocational high school. He has a mature personality for his age, but he doesn’t know what do in front girls he likes.

Na Geum-Young is a 2nd grade student at the vocational high school. She wants to become a Youtuber and she is studying cooking at the vocational school. Her father runs a karaoke room on the outskirts of the town.

Park Hae-Jin cast in MBC drama series “Old School Intern”

Park Hae-Jin is cast in MBC drama series “Old School Intern” (literal title). Actress Han Ji-Eun is currently considering an offer to play the lead female role and veteran actor Kim Eung-Soo is considering a major supporting character role. For the drama series, Park Hae-Jin will play Ka Yeol-Chan. He is an ambitious and successful executive at a ramen company. He gets paired with a senior intern, who was his old boss at his first job. Park Hae-Jin is currently starring in KBS2 drama series “Forest.”

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: After graduation, Ka Yeol-Chan (Park Hae-Jin) landed his first job at a company. His boss there, Lee Man-Shik, was a “kkondae” which refers to a rigid, old school type of person. He would force his old school ways of thinking on Ka Yeol-Chan. Due to Lee Man-Sik and his old school ways of thinking, Ka Yeol-Chan quit his job there. Ka Yeol-Chan then found a job at a ramen company. He worked very hard and was promoted unusually quickly, due to his radical planning and aggressive marketing. Ka Yeol-Chan now works as the chief of the sales and marketing department at the ramen company. His position actually wields the most power in the company. One day, Ka Yeol-Chan gets a senior age intern. That intern is Lee Man-Shik, who gave him such a hard time at his first job.

Jin Se-Yun cast in KBS2 drama series “Born Again”

Jin Se-Yun is cast in KBS2 drama series “Born Again” co-starring Chang Ki-Yong & Lee Soo-Hyuk. Like the two male leads, Jin Se-Yun will play two different characters. She will play Jung Ha-Eun in the 1980’s and Jung Sa-Bin in the present day. Jung Ha-Eun suffers from dilated cardiomyopathy (enlarged heart) and runs a bookstore. Jung Sa-Bin in the present day is an archaeologist.

“Born Again” will first air April, 2020 (slots into KBS2’s Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot).

Chang Ki-Yong and Lee Soo-Hyuk cast in KBS2 drama series “Born Again”

Chang Ki-Yong and Lee Soo-Hyuk are cast for lead roles in KBS2 drama series “Born Again.” The screenplay will take place in the 1980’s and present day. Both Chan Ki-Yong and Lee Soo-Hyuk will play different characters in the past and present. The script involves reincarnation and falls within the mystery-romance genres.

Ji Chang-Wook and Kim You-Jung are cast in Lifetime drama series “Convenience Store Saet-Byeol” (literal title). The drama series is based on webcomic “Pyeonuijeom Saetbyeoli” by Hwalhwasan. Lifetime is a cable channel in South Korea and affiliated with the U.S. cable channel Lifetime and its parent company A&E Networks. For the drama series. Ji Chang-Wook will play Choi Dae-Hyun. He owns a convenience store after leaving his prior job at big company. Kim You-Jung will play university student Jung Saet-Byeol. She begins working at Choi Dae-Hyun’s convenience store.

“Convenience Store Saet-Byeol” will first air autumn, 2020 in South Korea. The drama series will air on multiple channels in addition to Lifetime.
