Kim Ha-Neul, Yoon Sang-Hyun, & Lee Do-Hyun cast in JTBC drama series “18 Again”

Kim Ha-Neul, Yoon Sang-Hyun, and Lee Do-Hyun are cast in JTBC drama series “18 Again.” The drama series will have Yoon Sang-Hyun and Lee Do-Hyun playing the same character who changes from a 37-year-old man into an 18-year-old man. The drama series will be directed by Ha Byung-Hoon. He previously directed by 2017 KBS2 drama series “Go Back Couple.”

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Jung Da-Jung (Kim Ha-Neul) is married to 37-year-old Hong Dae-Young (Yoon Sang-Hyun). They have have 18-year-old son and daughter. Jung Da-Jung works hard as a rookie announcer and she has a warm heart. She becomes completely fed up with her husband and is unable to deal with him anymore. Hong Dae-Young got fired from his job and he is looked down upon by his family. Jung Da-Jung hands him divorce papers.

Meanwhile, Hong Dae-Young looks at himself as an ordinary jobless middle-aged man. He regrets his life. At that moment, his body changes into that of an 18-year-old year old person, while his mind is still that of his 37-year-old self. Back in his teenage days, Hong Dae-Young (Lee Do-Hyun) was an excellent basketball player and also popular. Now, with his regained 18-year-old body, he changes his name to Ko Woo-Young and begins to live a new life.

“18 Again” will first air sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.

First script reading for KBS2 drama series “Soul Repairer”

First script reading for KBS2 drama series “Soul Repairer” (literal title), starring Shin Ha-Kyun and Jung So-Min, took place December, 2019 at KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea. Along with director Yoo Hyun-Ki and screenwriter Lee Hyang-Hee, main cast members that attended the first script reading included Shin Ha-Kyun, Jung So-Min, Tae In-Ho, Park Ye-Jin, Joo Min-Kyung, Jo Kyung-Sook, Park Soo-Young, Jung Hae-Kyun, Choi Jung-Woo, and Park Hyun-Suk. The first script reading took about 5 hours to complete.

“Soul Repairer” first airs May, 2020 in South Korea.

Hwang Jung-Min cast in JTBC drama series “Hush”

Hwang Jung-Min is cast for the lead role in new JTBC drama series “Hush.” For Hwang Jung-Min, this is his first acting performance in a drama series since 2012 TV Chosun drama series “Korean Peninsula.” In “Hush,” Hwang Jung-Min will play veteran newspaper reporter Han Joon-Hyeok.

Trailer & poster added for movie “God of Novels” (literal title) starring Taiki Sato and Kanna Hashimoto. Movie is based on novel “Shousetsu no Kamisama” by Sako Aizawa and directed by Sigeaki Kubo (“High & Low The Story of S.W.O.R.D.“). Meanwhile, the theme song for the movie has been revealed, which is “Call Me Sick” by Reina Washio from idol group “E-girls.” The track “Call Me Sick” plays in the trailer for the film.
