Hwang Jung-Min cast in JTBC drama series “Hush”

Hwang Jung-Min is cast for the lead role in new JTBC drama series “Hush.” For Hwang Jung-Min, this is his first acting performance in a drama series since 2012 TV Chosun drama series “Korean Peninsula.” In “Hush,” Hwang Jung-Min will play veteran newspaper reporter Han Joon-Hyeok.

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Han Joon-Hyeok (Hwang Jung-Min) is a veteran reporter for a newspaper. He first became a reporter to pursue justice, but he is now conflicted between idealism and pragmatism. Han Joon-Hyeok must also deal with personal issues as a husband and father.

“Hush” will first air sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.

Trailer & poster for movie “God of Novels”

Trailer & poster added for movie “God of Novels” (literal title) starring Taiki Sato and Kanna Hashimoto. Movie is based on novel “Shousetsu no Kamisama” by Sako Aizawa and directed by Sigeaki Kubo (“High & Low The Story of S.W.O.R.D.“). Meanwhile, the theme song for the movie has been revealed, which is “Call Me Sick” by Reina Washio from idol group “E-girls.” The track “Call Me Sick” plays in the trailer for the film.

“God of Novels” will be released May 22, 2020 in Japan.

Ong Seong-Wu & Shin Ye-Eun offered lead roles in JTBC drama series “Number of Cases to Go From Friends to Lovers”

Ong Seong-Wu and Shin Ye-Eun have been offered lead roles in new JTBC drama series “Number of Cases to Go From Friends to Lovers” (literal title). Currently, both performers are “positively considering” their offers. If Ong Seong-Wu accepts his offer, he will play Lee Soo. He works as a photographer. If Shin Ye-Eun accepts her offer, she will play Kyung Woo-Yeon. The drama series is directed by Choi Sung-Bum (“ID: Gangnam Beauty“). Ong Seong-Wu previously starred in JTBC drama series “At Eighteen” and Shin Ye-Eun will star in upcoming KBS2 drama series “Welcome.”

First script reading for KBS2 drama series “Born Again”

First script reading for KBS2 drama series “Born Again” took place late January, 2020 at KBS Annex Building in Yeouido, Seoul, South Korea. Attending the first script reading were cast members Chang Ki-Yong, Jin Se-Yun, Lee Soo-Hyuk, Kim Jung-Nan, Choi Kwang-Il, Jung In-Gyeom, and Jang Won-Young. According to the staff, the first script reading was full of energy and passion. The lead actors did their best like it was a real filming.

“Born Again” is tentatively scheduled to first air April 20, 2020 in South Korea.
