Kim Ji-Soo cast in JTBC drama series “Snowdrop”

Kim Ji-Soo from girl group “Blackpink” is cast in new JTBC drama series “Snowdrop” (working & literal title). For Kim Ji-Soo this will be her first regular character acting role (she previously did short appearances in “Arthdal Chronicles” and “The Producers“). Kim Ji-Soo is also the first announced cast member for the drama series “Snowdrop.” The drama series has some links to JTBC drama series “SKY Castle,” with director Jo Hyun-Tak and screenwriter Yoo Hyun-Mi having worked on “Sky Castle” and now “Snowdrop.” In addition, actress Kim Hye-Yoon from “Sky Castle” has also been offered a role in the drama series “Snowdrop” and she is currently considering the offer.

Which network, release date, or plot details have not yet been revealed for “Snowdrop.”

Character posters for Netflix drama “The School Nurse Files”

Here’s two character posters for upcoming Netflix drama series “The School Nurse Files” (English title) starring Jung Yu-Mi & Nam Joo-Hyuk. The fantasy themed drama series is based 2015 novel “Bogungyosa Aneunyoung” by Jung Se-Rang and directed by Lee Kyoung-Mi (“Crush and Blush“). The character posters of Jung Yu-Mi as Nurse Teacher An Eun-Young and Nam Joo-Hyuk as Chinese alphabet teacher Hong In-Pyo. Caption on the poster states in Korean “A strange and beautiful world opens.”

“The School Nurse Files” will be available to stream on Netflix from September 25, 2020.

First script reading for tvN drama “Tale of the Nine Tailed”

First script reading for tvN drama series “Tale of the Nine Tailed” (English title), starring Lee Dong-Wook, Jo Bo-Ah, & Kim Beom, took place April, 2020 in South Korea. The first script reading was attended by Lee Dong-Wook , Jo Bo-Ah , Kim Beom, Kim Yong-Ji , Hwang Hee, Kim Jung-Nan, and Ahn Kil-Kang and others. The drama series features a fantasy-action-romance genre screenplay. Lee Dong-Wook plays Lee Yeon. He is a gumiho aka nin-tailed fox. Jo Bo-Ah plays Nam Ji-A. She is an enthusiastic television producer. Kim Beom plays Lee Rang. He is Lee Yeon’s younger half brother. For Kim Beom, this is his first drama series role since 2016 SBS drama series “Mrs. Cop 2.” Above and below are photos from the first script reading.

“Tale of the Nine Tailed” is now scheduled to first air October, 2020 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Wednesday & Thursday 10:50 PM time slot after “Flower of Evil“).

Mun Ka-Young, Cha Eun-Woo, & Hwang In-Yeop cast in tvN drama “True Beauty”

Mun Ka-Young, Cha Eun-Woo, and Hwang In-Yeop are now cast in tvN drama series “True Beauty.” The drama series is adapted from webcomic “Yeoshingangrim” by Yaongyi. Mun Ka-Young will play lead female character Im Joo-Kyeong. She is a high school student with a bright personality. She has a complex about her appearance and hides herself behind make-up. Cha Eun-Woo will play lead male character Lee Soo-Ho. He is also a high school student and transfers to the same high school as Im Joo-Kyeong. He appears to be perfect with an attractive appearance, does well in school and excellent athletic ability. Lastly, Hwang In-Yeop will play Han Seo-Joon. He is a masculine guy with a warm heart.

“True Beauty” first airs sometime later this year in South Korea.
