Ji Soo cast in drama “The Moon Rising River”

Ji Soo is cast for the lead male role drama series “The Moon Rising River” (literal title) co-starring Kim So-Hyun. Also announced to play major supporting characters are Lee Ji-Hoon & Choi Yu-Hwa. Actor Kang Ha-Neul was previously announced to make a special appearance as the lead male character’s father. The drama series is based on Korean folk tale “On Dal.” For the drama series, Ji Soo will play the title character from the folktale On Dal. His character is an innocent and nonviolent person. He falls in love with Princess Pyong Gang (Kim So-Hyun). Meanwhile, Lee Ji-Hoon will play Go Gun. His character is the general of Goguryeo and he also falls in love with Pyong Gang. Lastly, Choi Yu-Hwa will play Hae Mo-Yong. Her character is a mysterious woman with a beautiful appearance and a special power to foresee the future. She carries a secret and also holds feelings for Go Gun.

“The Moon Rising River” will first air sometime next year in South Korea.

First script reading for JTBC drama “Hush”

First script reading for JTBC drama series “Hush,” starring Hwang Jung-Min & Yoona, took place September, 2020 in South Korea. Attending the first script reading were director Choi Kyoo-Sik, screenwriter Kim Jung-Min,  Hwang Jung-Min, Yoona, Son Byung-HoKim Won-HaePark Ho-San, Lee Seung-Joon, Yoo-Sun , Kim Jae-Chul, Kyung Soo-Jin and Jung Joon-Won. Before script reading started, director Choi Kyoo-Sik stated “I am honored to work with such a good script and cast members. This drama series has a serious message. I want to make a drama series which is warm, humane, and fun.”

“Hush” first airs December 11, 2020 in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Friday & Saturday 10:50 PM time slot after “More Than Friends“).

First script reading for JTBC drama “Run On”

First script reading for JTBC drama series “Run On,” starring Im Si-Wan & Shin Se-Kyung, took place July, 2020 at JTBC Building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. Also attending the first script reading were Director Lee Jae-Hoon, screenwriter Park Min-Sook, Sooyoung, Kang Tae-Oh, Park Young-Gyu, Cha Hwa-Yeon, Lee Bong-Ryun, Ryu Abel, Yeon Je-Wook, Lee Jeong-Ha, Choi Jae-Hyun, Kim Dong-Young, and Kim Si-Eun. Director Lee Jae-Hoon stated during the first script reading “I will film all the actors and actresses sincerely and listen sincerely. I will do my best to make the actors, actresses, and staff think that we worked joyfully and with good people until the filming ended.”

“Run On” first airs December, 2020 in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Wednesday and Thursday 9:30 PM time slot after “Private Lives.”).

Main cast announced for BTS inspired drama series “Youth”

Seo Ji-Hoon, Ro Jong-Hyun, Ahn Ji-Ho, Seo Young-Joo, Kim Yoon-Woo, Jung Woo-Jin, and Jeon Jin-Seo are cast in drama series “Youth.” The script for the drama series is inspired by BU, which is about popular boyband BTS, but mixes fiction and the band member’s true stories. Each of the newly announced cast members will play a member from BTS. Seo Ji-Hoon will play Kim Seok-Jin (Jin), Ro Jong-Hyun will play Min Yoon-Gi (Suga), Ahn Ji-Ho will play Jung Ho-Seok (J-Hope), Seo Young-Joo will pay Kim Nam-Joon (RM), Kim Yoon-Woo wil play Park Ji-Min (Jimin), Jung Woo-Jin will play Kim Tae-Hyung (V), and Jeon Jin-Seo will play Jeon Jung-Kook (Jungkook).

The drama series will first air sometime next year in South Korea, but exact network and date has not yet been decided.

Jung Ji-So and Lee Jun-Young (U-KISS) are cast for lead roles in KBS2 drama series “Imitation.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Imitation” by Park Kyung-Ran. Also cast for supporting roles are Park Ji-Yeon (T-ara), Kang Chan-Hee (SF9), Minseo, Lim Na-Young, Jong Ho (ATEEZ), Hwi Young (SF9), Yu Ri, An Jung-Hoon, Yun Ho (ATEEZ), Lee Su-Woong, Seong Hwa (ATEEZ), San (ATEEZ), Danny Ahn and Shim Eun-Jin. The drama series revolves around idol group members.

“Imitation” first airs sometime during the first half of 2021 in South Korea.

First script reading for OCN drama series “Amazing Rumor” starring Joe Byeong-Gyu, Yu Jun-Sang, & Kim Se-Jeong, took place June 30, 2020 in South Korea. Lee Je-Hoon offered role in SBS drama “Deluxe Taxi”

Lee Je-Hoon has been offered the lead male character role in SBS drama series “Deluxe Taxi” (literal title). The drama series is based on webcomic “Mobeomtaxi” by Carlos. Currently, Lee Je-Hoon is “positively considering” the offer. If he accepts, he will play Kim Do-Ki. He is a former Korean Navy Seal and now works for a taxi company that also provides revenge service.

“Deluxe Taxi” will air sometime next year in South Korea.

Ji Soo offered lead male role in drama “The Moon Rising River”

Actor Ji Soo has been offered the lead male role in drama series “The Moon Rising River” (literal title) starring Kim So-Hyun. If Ji Soo accepts he will play the character of On Dal. He holds an unconditional love for Pyong Gang (Kim So-Hyun). Actor Kang Ha-Neul has also been cast for a special appearance role of On Dal’s father. Currently, Ji Soo is considering the offer.

“The Moon Rising River” will first air sometime in the first half of next year in South Korea.
