First teaser trailer and supporting cast announced for movie “First Love” starring Masataka Kubota. Newly announcing supporting cast members are Nao Omori, Shota Sometani, Seiyo Uchino, Becky, Jun Murakami, Sansei Shiomi and Sakurako Konishi. Movie is directed by Takashi Miike. Movie is currently screening at the 51st Directors’ Fortnight (May 15-25, 2019) which is an independent section held in parallel with the Cannes Film Festival.
“First Love” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
Trailer added for period-comedy film “Samurai Shifters” starring Gen Hoshino, Issey Takahashi and Mitsuki Takahata. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “Denden” by Japanese rock band Unicorn. The track appears on the main trailer. For those curious, the song “Denden” doesn’t have anything to do with veteran character actor Denden, but rather about the nickname of “Snail” which belongs to the movie’s main character. Movie is based on 2016 no el “Hikkoshi Daimyo Sanzenri” by Akihiro Dobashi and directed by Isshin Inudo.

Main trailer added for comedy film “Hit Me Anyone One More Time” starring Kiichi Nakai. Movie is written and directed by Koki Mitani (“The Magic Hour“). The film follows a man played by Kiichi Nakai who regains his memory and realizes that he is the prime minister of Japan.

English subtitled trailer added for upcoming movie “Amber Light” starring Arata Iura & comedian Akira Ohashi. The film follows two adult brothers who were abandoned by their father when they were young. Movie is directed by Hatsuki Yokoo.

Mariko Tsutsui and Koji Fukada previously collaborated on 2016 film “Harmonium” and “A Girl Missing” follows in that film’s footsteps. A crime takes place among a family where a close outsider is involved.
