Teaser trailer and poster added for live-action film “Insomniacs After School” starring Nana Mori and Daiken Okudaira. The movie is based on manga series “Kimi wa Hokago Insomnia” by Makoto Ojiro and directed by Chihiro Ikeda (“Memory’s Technique“). The film follows two high school students who meet in an abandoned astronomy observatory and both suffer from insomnia. Caption for the teaser poster states “A secret that they couldn’t tell anyone connects two people.”
“Insomniacs After School” will be released June, 2023 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Ganta Nakami (Daiken Okudaira) is a first year high school student in Nanao, Ishikawa prefecture. He suffers from insomnia. One day, Ganta Nakami finds an abandoned astronomical observatory at his high school. There, he meets his classmate Isaki Magari (Nana Mori), who also suffers from insomnia. Isaki Magari secretly uses the astronomical observatory to take naps. These two students didn’t talk much before, but their secret of having insomnia connects them. They soon face a crisis when a no entry sign is posted in front of the astronomical observatory. To regain access to the astronomical observatory, they decide to revive the astronomy club.
