Ryusei Yokohama cast in live-action film “Honey”

Ryusei Yokohama is cast in upcoming live-action film “Honey” starring Sho Hirano & Yuna Taira. The movie is based on manga “Honey” by Amu Meguro and directed by Koji Shintoku. For the live-action film, Ryusei Yokohama will play supporting character Ayumu Misaki. He is a classmate of Taiga Onise (Sho Hirano) and they become friends. He has a sharp tongue, but cute appearance.

“Honey” will be released sometime in spring, 2018 in Japan.

Teaser poster and still images for movie “Hibana: Spark”

Here’s the first teaser poster and still images for upcoming movie “Hibana: Spark” starring Masaki Suda & Kenta Kiritani. Movie is based on 2015 novel “Hibana” by Naoki Matayoshi and directed by Itsuji Itao. The movie version follows 2016 Netflix-NHK drama series “Hibana: Spark” which stars Kento Hayashi and Kazuki Namioka in the respective lead roles. Story for the film follows two men who struggle for success as comedians.

Masaki Okada and Fumino Kimura cast in movie “Ito-kun A to E”

Masaki Okada and Fumino Kimura are cast in new movie “Ito-kun A to E.” The film is based on 2013 novel “Ito-kun A to E” by Asako Yuzuki and will be directed by Ryuichi Hiroki. This is the first movie adaptation of a novel by Asako Yuzuki, but two of her past novels were adapted into 2013 NHK drama series “Beauty in Grief” and 2015 NHK drama series “Akko’s Lunches.” Story for the film has Masaki Okada playing Seijiro Ito. He is handsome man, but also has a huge ego. He dates five different women (A to E). Fumino Kimura will play Rio Yazaki. Her character is a once popular screenwriter who is trying to revive her career. She is also one of the women dating Seijiro Ito.

“Ito-kun A to E” will be released sometime during spring, 2018 in Japan.

Nana Eikura & Ken Yasuda cast in movie “When I Get Home, My Wife Always Pretends to be Dead”

Nana Eikura & Ken Yasuda cast in movie “When I Get Home, My Wife Always Pretends to be Dead” (literal title). Movie will be directed by Toshio Lee and is based on a post made to Yahoo! Answers about a wife’s eccentric behavior. In the upcoming film (romaji title “Ie ni Kaeru to Tsuma ga Kanarazu Shinda Furi wo Shite Imasu”), Ken Yasuda will play salaryman husband Jun and Nana Eikura will play housewife Chie. One day, when Jun comes home, Chie lies on the floor with blood coming out of her mouth. It turns out the blood is actually ketchup and she is just pretending to be dead, but she continues the bizarre behavior daily.

“When I Get Home, My Wife Always Pretends to be Dead” will be released spring, 2018 in Japan.
