In addition, release date is now set for June 25, 2016 in Japan. “Fukigen na Kako” follows the relationship between a high school student (Fumi Nikaido) and her aunt (Kyoko Koizumi) who suddenly reappears in her life. Movie is written and directed by Shiro Maeda (“The Extreme Sukiyaki“).

Yuto Nakajima from boy band ‘Hey! Say! JUMP’ and Yuko Araki are cast for the lead roles in upcoming movie “Bokura no Gohan wa Ashita de Matteru.” The movie is based on 2012 novel “Bokura no Gohan wa Ashita de Matteru” by Maiko Seo and directed by Masahide Ichii (“Blindly in Love“). Story for the film follows a 7 year period (from their first date to marriage) for a young couple in love. Filming for “Bokura no Gohan wa Ashita de Matteru” began at the end of January, 2016 in Thailand and is scheduled to finish by the end of February, 2016.
“Bokura no Gohan wa Ashita de Matteru” will be released sometime in spring, 2017 in Japan.
Teaser posters and teaser trailer added for upcoming horrors films “Dorome: Danshihen” & “Dorome: Joshihen” starring Aoi Morikawa, Yuta Koseki, Tatsuya Nakayama & Toko Miura. Both films are directed by Eisuke Naito (“Litchi Hikari Club“). Premise for the film takes place at a training camp for drama clubs from an all boys and an all girls high school. The two schools are set to merge in the coming year. At the training camp, the students witness horrific events and soon learn that “Dorome” is responsible.
“Dorome: Danshihen” & “Dorome: Joshihen” will have its world premiere at this year’s Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival (February 25-29, 2016) and then have its general release March 26, 2016 in Japan.
Trailer added for upcoming movie “Scanner” starring Mansai Nomura, Hiroyuki Miyasako, Fumino Kimura & Hana Sugisaki. The unusual premise for the film follows comedy duo member Kazuhiko Sengoku (Mansai Nomura) who has a special gift of reading memories from inanimate objects. He becomes involved in a missing woman case.

Main trailer added for upcoming horror film “The Stare” starring Tomomi Itano (AKB48), Shunya Shiraishi & Mari Iriki. Movie is directed by Koichiro Miki (“Goose Bumps“). Story for “The Stare” follows an assistant director (Tomomi Itano) at a TV station. She investigates a case involving the death of a young man who claimed someone was watching him. Soon, the assistant director feels like someone is watching her.
“The Stare” will be released April 2, 2016 in Japan.

In addition, supporting cast for the film has been revealed which includes Shido Nakamura, Young Dais, Yukio Ueno, Pierre Taki, Munetaka Aoki, Takayuki Kinoshita, Takuma Otoo, Haruna Yabuki, Kumi Takiuchi & Tomoya Nakamura. Movie is based on the autobiographical novel “Hajisarashi Hotsukaidoukei Akutoku Keiji no Kokuhaku” by Yoshiaki Inaba and centers around a corrupt cop. Kazuya Shiraishi (“The Devil’s Path“) directs the film.

Sumire Sato from idol group SKE48 is cast in new live-action film “The Little Match Girl.” Also cast in the film are Yutaka Kobayashi and Takafumi Honda (both of whom are members of boy band ‘Boys and Men’). The film is based on manga series “Match Shoujo” by Sanami Suzuki and the manga itself is inspired by 1845 short story “The Little Match Girl” by Hans Christian Andersen. Premise for the film follows a Rin (Sumire Sato) as a girl who sells matches. The matches offers the possibility of attaining personal dreams, but are as dangerous as fire.
“The Little Match Girl” will be released May 28, 2016 in Japan.
Trailer added for upcoming comedy live-action film “Chinyuki” starring Kenichi Matsuyama. Movie is based on manga “Chinyuki – Taro to Yukaina Nakama tachi” by Gataro Man (which is a parody of Chinese novel “Journey to the West”) and directed by Yudai Yamaguchi (“Deadball“).

Trailer added for upcoming sci-fi film “The Sun” starring Ryunosuke Kamiki & Mugi Kadowaki. Movie is based on the play “Taiyo” by Tomohiro Maekawa and directed by Yu Irie (“8000 Miles“). Story for the film is set at a time where two types of humans have survived a biological terror. The first group are “Noksu” who survived the virus and carry an antibody and “Kyurio” who never got the virus. “The Sun” will open April 23, 2016 in Japan.
