Gou Ayano cast in movie “Nihon de Ichiban Warui Yatsura.” The movie is based on a non-fiction novel by Yoshiaki Inaba and directed by Kazuya Shiraishi (“The Devil’s Path“). Yoshiaki Inaba wrote the novel about his life, after spending 9 years in prison. While working as a police inspector in Hokkaido, he was arrested for gun and drug possession. Gou Ayano will play the main character. He gained and lost 10 kilograms while filming the movie.

Story for the film follows childhood friends who are now in high school and start a karuta (Japanese card game) club.

Movie is directed by Koki Fukuyama. “Children of Iron” had its world premiere earlier this year as the opening film for the Skip City International D-Cinema Festival and also screened recently at the 28th annual Tokyo International Film Festival. Premise for the film follows two elementary school students who become brother and sister after their parents marry. The new siblings get teased by their classmates and they concoct a plan to make their parents divorce.

Movie is based on 2012 novel “64 (Rokuyon)” by Hideo Yokoyama and directed by Takahisa Zeze (“Heaven’s Story“). Story for the film involves an unsolved child murder case. The statute of limitations is set to expire on the murder, then a similar kidnapping case takes place.

Actor Ryuhei Matsuda & child actor Riku Ohnishi are cast in new movie “My Uncle” (literal title of “Boku no Ojisan”). The movie is directed by Nobuhiro Yamashita (“Linda Linda Linda“) and based on 1972 nove l”Boku no Ojisan” by Morio Kita.
In movie “My Uncle,” Ryuhei Matsuda plays the uncle who works part-time teaching philosophy at an university. He leeches off his older brother’s family. Meanwhile, Riku Ohnishi plays Yukio Haruyama. His uncle is the character played by Ryuhei Matsuda. The uncle then falls in love with a Japanese woman who comes from Hawaii. After her grandmother passes away, she goes back to Hawaii to take over her grandmother’s coffee farm. Meanwhile, the uncle and Yukio Haruyama travel to Hawaii to see her.
“My Uncle” will be released sometime during autumn, 2016 in Japan.

Story for “Too Young To Die!” revolves around a high school student (Ryunosuke Kamiki) who dies while on a school field trip and ends up in Hell. He then meets a rocker in Hell called Killer K (Tomoya Nagase). He receives training from Killer K to return to the human world and confess his love to a classmate.

More cast members has been revealed for upcoming live-action film “Himitsu The Top Secret” starring Toma Ikuta, Masaki Okada, Chiaki Kuriyama and Nao Omori. Supporting cast members now include Tori Matsuzaka, Kippei Shiina, Lily Franky, Koji Ookura, Haruka Kinami and Yusuke Hirayama.
In the live-action movie Tori Matsuzaka will play Katsuhiro Suzuki. His character has been friends with Tsuyoshi Maki (Toma Ikuta) since their college days. They started the 9th Forensics Laboratory. Kippei Shiina will play Koichi Tsuyuguchi. His character is a death-row convict, charged with killing his own family. Lily Franky will play Junichiro Saito. His character is a psychiatrist who is aware of Katsuhiro Suzuki’s past trauma. Lilly Franky’s character of Junichiro Saito is original to the movie and the only character in the film not found in the manga series.
Movie “Himitsu The Top Secret” is based on manga series”Himitsu – Toppu Shiikuretto” by Reiko Shimizu and directed by Keishi Ohtomo (“Rurouni Kenshin“). Release date for “Himitsu The Top Secret” is now set for August, 2016 in Japan.
Main trailer added for upcoming film “Hotel Copain” starring Hayato Ichihara, Yoshimasa Kondo, Hikaru Osawa & Goki Maeda. Movie is directed by Naoto Monma and screenplay by Lion Hitoshizuku. Story for the film has Hayato Ichihara playing a former teacher who now works at a hotel. He quit his job after his inability to handle student bullying. A student of his committed suicide because of the bullying. Meanwhile, the hotel hosts a party for guests and the mother of the deceased student is there.

Actor Shun Oguri is cast in live-action film “Museum.” The film is based on manga “Museum” by Ryosuke Tomoe and directed by Keishi Ohtomo (“Rurouni Kenshin“). Premise for the film has Shun Oguri playing a detective working on a serial murder case. The murders only take place on rainy days. He then realizes his wife and child are the killer’s next target. The prime suspect wears a frog mask.
Filming for “Museum” began November 8, 2015 and the movie will be released sometime next year in Japan.
