Elaiza Ikeda cast in live-action film “Cherry Boys”

Elaiza Ikeda is cast for the lead female role in live-action film “Cherry Boys” starring Kento Hayashi, Shuntaro Yanagi & Tomoya Maeno. Movie is based on manga “Cherry Boys” by Tomohiro Koizumi, directed by Kenichiro Nishiumi and screenplay adaptation by Daigo Matsui. For “Cherry Boys,” Elaiza Ikeda will play Fueko Shaku. She is admired by Shinichi (Kento Hayashi), Tatsuya (Shuntaro Yanagi) and Makoto (Tomoya Maeno). All three guys are friends and 25-years-old. They are also still virgins and scheme to have sex with Fueko Shaku.

Main trailer for movie “The Scythian Lamb” starring Ryo Nishikido, Fumino Kimura and Ryuhei Matsuda. Movie is based on manga “Hitsuji no Ki” by Tatsuhiko Yamagami and directed by Daihachi Yoshida. Story for the film is set in a quiet seaside town. A city hall employee played by Ryo Nishikido is ordered to greet 6 new residents to the town. What he doesn’t know yet are all 6 of the new residents are part of a new Japanese program to help reform prisoners and they have all committed murder.

Nana Komatsu & Yo Oizumi cast in live-action film “Koi wa Ameagari no You ni”

Nana Komatsu & Yo Oizumi are cast in live-action film “Koi wa Ameagari no You ni” (literally “Love is Like After the Rain”). Movie is based on manga series “Koi wa Ameagari no You ni” by Jun Mayuzuki and directed by Akira Nagai. The story for the film has Nana Komatsu playing 17-year-old high school student Akira Tachibana. At a family restaurant, she meets the restaurant’s 45-year-old manager (Yo Oizumi) and falls in love with him.

Filming for “Koi wa Ameagari no You ni” begins November 15, 2017 and finishes at the end of December, 2017. The live-action film will be released May, 2018 in Japan.

Special trailer added for movie “The 8-Year Engagement” starring Takeru Satoh and Tao Tsuchiya. The screenplay is based on a true story and revolves around an engaged couple. The woman suddenly falls into a coma and stays in a vegetative state for years. The man doesn’t give up hope even when her parents suggests he should move on. The woman does wake up from coma years later, but she doesn’t remember her fiance.

Haru Kuroki and Shuhei Nomura cast in movie “Biburia Koshodo no Jiken Techo”

Haru Kuroki and Shuhei Nomura are cast in movie “Biburia Koshodo no Jiken Techo.” Movie is set based on the novel series “Biblia Koshodo no Jiken Techou” novels by En Mikami. 2013 Fuji TV drama series “Antiquarian Bookshop Biblia’s Case Files,” starring Ayame Gouriki and Akira, is also based on the same novel series. For the movie version, Haru Kuroki plays Shioriko Shinokawa. She is an extremely shy person, but, when it comes to old books, her knowledge is expansive and she can’t stop talking about them. Shuhei Nomura will play Daisuke Goura. He works as a clerk at the bookstore owned by Shioriko Shinokawa. Movie is directed by Yukiko Mishima.

“Biburia Koshodo no Jiken Techo” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Takayuki Yamada and Masami Nagasawa cast in remake film “50th First Kiss”

Takayuki Yamada and Masami Nagasawa are cast in remake film “50th First Kiss” (literal title). The film is a remake of 2004 U.S. film “50 First Dates” starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. Filming for “50th First Kiss” took place in Hawaii and finished in about a month. Story for “50th First Kiss” has Takayuki Yamada playing tour guide Daisuke Yuge. He falls in love with Rui Fujishima (Masami Nagasawa) on fist sight, but Rui Fujishima though suffers from memory loss due to a past accident. Movie will be directed by Yuichi Fukuda.

“50th First Kiss” opens June 1, 2018 in Japan.
