Teaser trailer added for upcoming movie “Yuuzai” starring Toma Ikuta and Eita. Movie is directed by Takahisa Zeze and based on 2013 novel “Yuuzai” by Gaku Yakumaru. Supporting actors in the film include Kaho, Mizuki Yamamoto, Yasuko Tomita and Koichi Sato. Story follows former journalist now factory worker Masuda (Toma Ikuda). His coworker (Eita) killed several children when he was younger and now doesn’t talk to anyone. Masuda, hoping to revive his journalist career, decides to secretly write a piece on him while befriending him.
“Yuuzai” will be released May, 2018 in Japan.
Trailer and poster added for upcoming film “Sea Opening” starring Mario Kuroba and Takuma Wada. Movie is written, directed, produced and filmed by Hiroshi Horiuchi. Story for “Sea Opening” follows two stage actors. They go to the hometown of one of the actors in Okinawa.

Elaiza Ikeda and Joe Odagiri are cast in movie “Room Laundering.” Also cast in supporting roles are Kiyohiko Shibukawa, Kentaro and Kaoru Mitsumune. The film is written and directed by Kenji Katagiri. In movie “Room Laundering” Eliza Ikeda plays Miko Yakuma. After her grandmother died, she shut herself away from the world until her uncle appears. Joe Odagiri plays the uncle. He sets up a place for her to live and a part-time job. The part-time job is “room laundering” which is to appease ghosts who are holed up in rooms by solving their worries.
“Room Laundering” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
Actor Tomohisa Yamashita announced at the 2017 FNS Music Festival, which took place December 6, 2017, that movie “Code Blue” is set for release July 27, 2018 in Japan. Filming for the movie is currently taking place now. Main cast members including Tomohisa Yamashita, Yui Aragaki, Erika Toda, Manami Higa and Yosuke Asari from the original Fuji TV drama series “Code Blue” will appear in the movie version.
Trailer for live-action film “River’s Edge” starring Fumi Nikaido and Ryo Yoshizawa. Movie is based on manga “River’s Edge” by Kyoko Okazaki and directed by Isao Yukisada. The film deals with two teens who discover a dead body by the river’s edge.
“River’s Edge” is now set for release February 16, 2018 in Japan.
Jun Shison cast in movie “Hashire! T Ko Basuketto Bu.” The film is based on 2007 novel “Hashire! T Ko Basuketto Bu” by Hiroshi Matsuzaki and Takeshi Furusawa (“Love and Lies“) will direct the film. For movie “Hashire! T Ko Basuketto Bu,” Jun Shison will play high school student Yoichi Tadokoro. He’s good at basketball, but he gets bullied at his private high school and transfers to a school named “T School.” Yoichi Tadokoro plays on his new school’s basketball team as they will eventually play his old private high school team. To prepare to play Yoichi Tadokoro, Jun Shison received training from former basketball player Keishi Handa for 3 months.
“Hashire! T Ko Basuketto Bu” will be released autumn, 2018 in Japan.
Kasumi Arimura & Jun Kunimura are cast in sequel film “Kazoku Iro.” Movie is the third installment of the “Railways” franchise which includes 2010 film “Railways” and 2011 film “Crossroads.” Movie will be directed by Yasuhiro Yoshida (“Enoshima Prism“). For “Kazoku Iro,” Kasumi Arimura will play widow Akira Okuzono. She moves with her stepson to her late husband’s hometown of Kagoshima and begins to live with her father-in-law Setsuo (Jun Kunimura). There, Akira Okuzono looks for a job and decides to become a train driver like her father-in-law and what her late husband dreamed of becoming.
Filming for “Kazoku Iro” will take place from January to February, 2018 in Kagoshima, Japan.

Movie is based on manga series “Marmalade Boy” by Wataru Yoshizumi and directed by Ryuichi Hiroki. Story follows two teenagers as they begin to live together after their parents divorce and live with the other person.
Release date for “Marmalade Boy” is now set for April 27, 2018 in Japan.
Trailer added for upcoming movie “Misozi Onna wa Romanchikku na Yume wo Miru ka?” starring Rina Takeda. The film is based on an original screenplay by Kentaro Yamagishi and Miyuki Uehara, with Kentaro Yamagishi also directing the film. Story for “Misozi Onna wa Romanchikku na Yume wo Miru ka?” has Rina Takeda playing almost 30 year old Nana Ogino. She goes home one evening to her studio apartment and finds 3 bank robbers hiding out in her place. She somehow goes on the run with the bank robbers.
