Story for the film is motivated by 2003 song “Yuki no Hana” by Mika Nakashima and that song also appears in the teaser trailer as the theme song. Filming for “Yuki no Hana” took place in Tokyo and the country of Finland from February to June, 2018. “Yuki no Hana” is directed by Kojiro Hashimoto.
