Teaser trailer and poster added for upcoming movie “Somebody” (“Nanimono”) starring Takeru Satoh, Masaki Suda, Kasumi Arimura, Fumi Nikaido, Masaki Okada & Takayuki Yamada. The film is based on novel “Nanimono” by Ryo Asai (“The Kirishima Thing“) and directed by Daisuke Miura (“Love’s Whirlpool“). Premise for the film follows 5 college students as they seek out jobs.

Two main posters and release date added for Park Chan-Wook directed film “The Handmaiden” starring Ha Jung-Woo, Kim Min-Hee & Kim Tae-Ri. “The Handmaiden” is now set for release June 1, 2016 in South Korea. Movie is based on novel “Fingersmith” by Sarah Waters and will have its world premiere in the competition section of this year’s Cannes Film Festival (May 11-22, 2016).
Here’s the first still images of Hwang Jung-Eum and Ryoo Joon-Yeol in upcoming MBC drama series “Lucky Romance.” The still images are from a scene filmed in mid-April, 2016. Setup for the scene has Sim Bo-Nui (Hwang Jung-Eum), who works part-time jobs, and CEO of a game company Je Soo-Ho (Ryoo Joon-Yeol) meeting for the first time at a casino. This scene will appear in ep.1 of “Lucky Romance” which is scheduled to air May 25, 2016 in South Korea
Yuina Kuroshima and Fuma Kikuchi (‘Sexy Zone’) are cast in upcoming NTV drama series “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.” The drama series is based on sci-fi novel “Toki wo Kakeru Shojo” by Yasutaka Tsutsui.
In drama series “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time,” Yuina Kuroshima plays high school student Mihane Yoshiyama. After smelling a lavender scent in the science lab, she gains the power to leap through time. Meanwhile, Fuma Kikuchi plays her classmate Shohei Fukamachi. Shohei Fukamachi is actually from the future.

Actor Kim Sung-Oh is cast in upcoming KBS2 drama series “Baek-Hee Has Returned” starring Gang Ye-Won. The drama series consists of 4 episodes and will air after the conclusion of “My Lawyer, Mr. Jo.”
In the drama series, Kim Sung-Oh will play lead male character Woo Bum-Ryong. He used to be a gang member, but now lives quietly with his mother. He is also lonely. Meanwhile, Gang Ye-Won plays a woman who returns to an island for the first time in 18 years, but under a different identity.
“Baek-Hee Has Returned” first airs June 6, 2016 in South Korea.
Lee Jung-Jae and Kim Ha-Neul are now cast in upcoming movie “With God” (literal title). Previously announced cast members include Ha Jung-Woo, Cha Tae-Hyun, Ju Ji-Hoon, Ma Dong-Seok, Kim Hyang-Gi, Do Kyung-Soo (‘EXO-K’) & Kim Dong-Wook. Movie will be directed by Kim Yong-Hwa (“200 Pounds Beauty“/”Take Off“) and is based on webcomic “Singwa Hamgge” by Joo Ho-Min. Story for the film is set in a purgatory world where angels of deaths take part in trials of humans to determine their eternal fate.
In the upcoming film, Lee Jung-Jae will play King Yeomra. His character is the God of Death. Kim Ha-Neul will play the God of Betrayal Hell.
“With God” will be released sometime in 2017.
Ikki Sawamura is cast in WOWOW drama series “Kibogaoka no Hitobito.” Also cast in the drama series are Emi Wakui, Hiyori Sakurada, Keita Ninomiya & Kazue Ito. The drama series is based 2009 novel “Kibogaoka no Hitobito” by Kiyoshi Shigematsu (“Tonbi“).
Story for “Kibogaoka no Hitobito,” has Ikki Sawamura playing Tajima. His wife, played by Emi Wakui, dies shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. He takes his two children to his late wife’s hometown and on a whim decides to live there with his children.

Choi Sung-Won, who plays supporting character Dong-Rae, has dropped out of JTBC drama series “Mirror of the Witch.” During filming of the drama series he received light bruising, but his recovery was slower than usual. He went to the hospital for a checkup and was then diagnosed with acute leukemia on May 4, 2016. His leukemia was caught in the early stages and there is a high chance of curing his illness through treatment. His character was originally scripted to appear throughout the drama series, but will now only appear in the early portions of the drama series. Best wishes to Choi Sung-Won.

The drama series is based on manga series “Kimi wa Pet” by Yayaoi Ogawa which was previously adapted into 2003 TBS drama series “You’re My Pet” (starring Koyuki and Jun Matsumoto) and 2011 South Korean film “You’re My Pet” (starring Kim Ha-Neul andJang Keun-Suk).
Exact air date for “You’re My Pet” has yet be decided, but it will air late night in Japan.
