Teaser trailer and poster for movie “Honnoji Hotel”

Teaser trailer and poster for upcoming movie “Honnoji Hotel” starring Haruka Ayase & Shinichi Tsutsumi. Movie is scripted by Tomoko Aizawa & directed by Masayuki Suzuki.

Haruka Ayase, Shinichi Tsutsumi, Tomoko Aizawa & Masayuki Suzuki all previously worked together in 2011 movie “Princess Toyotomi.” In movie “Honnoji Hotel,” Haruka Ayase plays Mayuko. She stays at the Honnoji Hotel and there meets historical figure Nobunaga Oda played by Shinichi Tsutsumi.

“Honnoji Hotel” will be released January 14, 2017 in Japan.

First script reading for SBS drama series “Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim”

First script reading for SBS drama series “Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim,” starring Han Suk-Kyu & Seo Hyun-Jin, took place September 13, 2016 at SBS Ilsan Production Studios in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.

Besides Seo Hyun-Jin, all main cast members attended including Han Suk-Kyu, Yoo Yeon-Seok, Jin Kyung, Lim Won-Hee and Kim Min-Jae. Seo Hyun-Jin could not attend the first script reading due to stomach cramps.

Ep.1 of “Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim” airs November 7, 2016.

Kou Shibasaki is cast in TV Asahi drama special “Ice on the Tracks”

Kou Shibasaki is cast in new TV Asahi drama special “Ice on the Tracks” (literal title). The drama special is based on the 2016 novel “Koori no Wadachi” by Shino Sakuragi and directed by Tomoyuki Takimoto.

In “Ice on the Tracks,” Kou Shibasaki will play a detective with a secret about her birth. Meanwhile, two old men’s bodies are found. Their seems unrelated, but the detective makes a connection.

“Ice on the Tracks” will air November 5, 2016 in Japan.

Han Ji-Min to make cameo appearance in SBS drama series “Jealousy Incarnate”

Han Ji-Min is set to make a cameo appearance in ep.11 of currently airing SBS drama series “Jealousy Incarnate” starring Kong Hyo-Jin & Cho Jung-Seok. Han Ji-Min decided to make her special appearance due to her working relationship with director Park Shin-Woo. She previously starred in 2015 SBS drama series “Hyde Jekyll, Me” which Park Shin-Woo directed.

For Han Ji-Min’s cameo appearance, she will play a woman on a blind date with Lee Hwa-Shin (Cho Jung-Seok).

Ep.11 of “Jealousy Incarnate” will air September 28, 2016 in South Korea.

Ryo Nishikido is cast in live-action film “Hitsuji no Ki”

Ryo Nishikido (‘Kanjani Eight’) is cast for the lead role in upcoming live-action film “Hitsuji no Ki.” Also cast in supporting roles for the film are Fumino Kimura, Kazuki Kitamura, Yuka, Mikako Ichikawa, Shingo Mizusawa, Min Tanaka and Ryuhei Matsuda. Movie is based on the manga series “Hitsuji no Ki” by Tatsuhiko Yamagami and directed by Daihachi Yoshida (“The Kirishima Thing“).

In the upcoming film, Ryo Nishikido will play Hajime Tsukisue. His character works as a city employee in the decaying port city of Uobuka. Six strangers move into the city and Hajime Tsukisue is tasked with welcoming to the city. The strangers carry a strange vibe about them. Hajime Tsukisue learns that the strangers are ex-prisoners, all convicted of murder and released under a new government parole system.

Filming for “Hitsuji no Ki” will begin October, 2016 and the movie is scheduled to be released sometime during 2018 in Japan.
