Kaho Mizutani cast in NHK drama series “The Sniffer”

Kaho Mizutani is cast in upcoming NHK drama series “The Sniffer” starring Hiroshi Abe. The drama series is a remake of Ukrainian TV series “The Sniffer.” Kaho Mizutani won the role after taking part in an audition among 50 other hopefuls, who were pulled from a pool of 400 applicants.

In the upcoming drama series, Kaho Mizutani will play Misato. She is the daughter of main character Shinichiro Hanaoka (Hiroshi Abe). Shinichiro Hanaoka works as a consultant who possesses a special sense of smell. He uses his special ability to solve cases.

“The Sniffer” first airs October 22, 2016 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for movie “Partners: The Movie IV”

Teaser trailer for movie “Partners: The Movie IV” starring Yutaka Mizutani & Takashi Sorimachi.

In addition, supporting cast for the upcoming has been revealed. Actors who will play new characters in the film are Kazuki Kitamura, Mayu Yamaguchi and Takeshi Kaga. While, Mitsuhiro Oikawa, Koji Ishizaka and Yukie Nakama will play their respective characters that they have done so previously in earlier “Partners”/”Aibou” titles.

“Partners: The Movie IV” will be released February 11, 2017 in Japan.

Yukie Nakama cast in WOWOW drama series “Rakuen”

Yukie Nakama is cast in new WOWOW drama series “Rakuen.” The drama series is based on the 2007 novel of same name by “Miyuki Miyabe.” In the drama series, Yukie Nakama will play Shigeko Maehata. She works a for a small editing company. She becomes involved with a case involving a couple that murdered their teenage daughter and buried her under their house for 16 years.

“Rakuen” first airs January, 2017 in Japan.

Yeon Jeong-Hun & Chae Jung-An cast in JTBC drama “Man to Man”

Yeon Jeong-Hun & Chae Jung-An are cast in JTBC drama series “Man to Man” starring Park Hae-Jin and Park Sung-Woong.

In the upcoming drama series, Yeon Jeong-Hun wiill play Mo Seung-Jae. He comes from an elite family. After the sudden death of his father, he lives a life that his grandfather wants and he hides his ambitions. Chae Jung-An will play Song Mi-Eun. She is married to Mo Seung-Jae. Even though they are married, Song Mi-Eun loves Yeo Woon-Gwang (Park Sung-Woong) and Mo Seung-Jae tries to destroy him because of this.

“Man to Man” will air sometime next year in South Korea.

Shuhei Nomura & Yuina Kuroshima cast in movie “Sakurada Reset”

Shuhei Nomura & Yuina Kuroshima are cast in new movies “Sakurada Reset 1” and “Sakurada Reset 2.” The films are based on light novel “Sakurada Risetto” by Yutaka Kono and directed by Yoshihiro Fukagawa.

In the upcoming films, Shuhei Nomura will play high school student Kei Asai and Yuina Kuroshima will play Misora Haruki. They live in the town of Sakurada where about half of the residents possess special powers. Kei Asai’s special power is his enhanced memory (he can remember everything) and Misora Haruki possesses the ability to reset the world by up to 3 days. Together they can go back in time and retain their memory.

“Sakurada Reset 1” will be released spring, 2017 in Japan.

Sooyoung cast in drama series “Polyclinic Doctor”

Sooyoung from Girls’ Generation is cast in new drama series “Polyclinic Doctor.” The drama series will revolve around third year medical students as they undergo training at a hospital. The students become friends and some develop romantic relationships. Sooyoung will play one of the students.

Exact network and airing date for “Polyclinic Doctor” has yet to be determined.

Trailer for movie “Vanishing Time: A Boy Who Returned”

Trailer added for upcoming movie “Vanishing Time: A Boy Who Returned” starring Gang Dong-Won & Shin Eun-Soo. Movie is written and directed by Uhm Tae-Hwa (“Ingtoogi: The Battle of Internet Trolls“). Story for the film follows a group of children as they go into the forest. When a girl (Shin Eun-Soo) exits the forest she finds that her friends have disappeared. Later, a man (Gang Dong-Won) appears and claims to be a boy that disappeared in the forest just a few days earlier.

“Vanishing Time: A Boy Who Returned” will be released sometime this November in South Korea.
