Story for “Tunnel” follows Detective Park Gwang-Ho (Choi Jin-Hyuk) in the year 1986 as he chases after a serial killer. He goes through a tunnel and finds himself in the year 2017. The serial killer also resumes his killing spree in the year 2017.
“Tunnel” will be released March 25, 2017 in South Korea.
Tetsuji Tamayama, Shosuke Tanihara & Atsuro Watabe are cast in Tokai TV drama series “Hanzai Shokogun Season 1” and WOWOW drama series “Hanzai Shokogun Season 2.” The drama series are based on novels “Shisso Shokogun” & “Yukai Shokogun” by Tokuro Nukui and will be directed by Shosuke Murakami & Junichi Tsuzuki.
Story for the drama series will follow Takashi Muto (Tetsuji Tamayama) and Wataru Kabugari (Shosuke Tanihara). They are detectives who worked together. Takshi Muto’s only immediate family member was his younger sister and Wataru Kabugari dated Takashi’s sister, but she is murdered by a minor. Season 1 will focus on the story of Takashi Muto and season 2 will focus on the story of Wataru Kabugari.
“Hanzai Shokogun Season 1” airs on Tokai TV beginning April, 2017 and “Hanzai Shokogun Season 2” airs on WOWOW beginning June 11, 2017.
Actress Kim So-Hyun is set to make a cameo appearance in upcoming SBS drama series “While You Were Sleeping” starring Lee Jong-Suk & Bae Suzy. Specifics for her cameo appearance has not been revealed, but her character will be important to the script.
Meanwhile, Lee Jong-Suk began filming for the drama series on March 2, 2017. In the drama series, he plays Jae-Chan. His character works as a prosecutor.
“While You Were Sleeping” will air sometime during the second half of 2017 in South Korea.
Second ep.1 trailer for added KBS2 drama series “Ms. Perfect” starring Ko So-Young, Yoon Sang-Hyun, Cho Yeo-Jeong & Sung Joon.
Meanwhile, photo above was taken to promote the premiere of “Ms. Perfect” which airs later tonight in South Korea (Feb. 27, 2017 at 10PM). The handwritten note states “Perfect wife? Curious? Tonight 10 PM, watch the KBS2 drama series.”
Supporting cast has been announced for upcoming movie “Confession of Murder” starring Tatsuya Fujiwara & Hideaki Ito. Movie is a remake of 2012 South Korean film “Confession of Murder.”
Now cast in supporting roles are Kaho, Shuhei Nomura, Anna Ishibashi, Ryo Ryusei, Taichi Saotome, Mitsuru Hirata, Ryo Iwamatsu, Koichi Iwaki and Toru Nakamura. Kaho will play the daughter of a man who was murdered 22 years ago. Toru Nakamura will play a journalist who tries to disclose the truth behind the serial murder cases. Anna Ishibashi will play the younger sister of Wataru Makimura (Hideaki Ito). She went missing 22 years ago.
“Confession of Murder” will open June 10, 2017 in Japan.
Hyeri (‘Girl’s Day’) has been offered the lead female role in upcoming movie “Strange Object” (literal title) starring Kim Myung-Min. Currently, Hyeri is postively considering the offer. If she accepts, this will be Hyeri’s first performance in a feature length film. Movie “Strange Object” had the early Korean working title of “Jakseoui Byeon – Moolgwoeui Seubgyeok.” Shin Jung-Won was first selected to direct the film, but dropped out of the project. The genre of the film was then changed from a historical-fantasy film to a historical-comedy film. This led to Jung Woo-Sung declining an offer to play the lead male role in which Kim Myung-Min now plays. Huh Jong-Ho now directs the film.
Here’s the first still images of Kwon Sang-Woo in KBS2 drama series “Queen of Mystery.” The still images were taken on Kwon Sang-Woo’s first day of filming for the drama series, which took place February 21, 2017 at a building in a traditional market. The scenes from his first day of filming will appear in ep.1 of “Queen of Mystery.”

Hiroki Hasegawa & Masaki Okada are cast in new TBS drama series “Small Giant” (“Chiisana Kyojin”). Also cast in supporting roles are Ken Yasuda, Shota Shunputei, Taro Suruga, Toru Tezuka & Katsumi Kiba. In the drama series, Hiroki Hasegawa will play Shinichiro Kosaka. He works as a detective at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. He makes a mistake though and gets demoted to a police station. There, he finds detectives that may have less skills, but work earnestly to solve even the simple cases.

Arata Horii, Yuki Yamada & Ryo Mitsuya are cast in new TBS drama series “3 Papas” (literal title). Also cast in supporting roles are Airi Matsui, Itsuki Sagara & Mari Hamada. Premise for the drama series has Arata Horii, Yuki Yamada & Ryo Mitsuya playing housemates of a sharehouse who one day find a baby in their house. A note says “the baby is yours.”
“3 Papas” first airs April 19, 2017 in Japan.
