Kim Young-Kwang & Lee Si-Young cast in MBC drama series “Lookout”

Kim Young-Kwang & Lee Si-Young are now cast for lead roles in upcoming MBC drama series “Lookout” (literal title). In the drama series, Kim Young-Kwan will play Jang Do-Han. He is an ambitious public prosecutor, but, due to an unjust situation, he becomes a monster for revenge. Lee Si-Young will play Jo Soo-Ji. She is an ex-detective. She lost her daughter in a crime and the perpetrator was able to avoid punishment. She joins a group to punish the criminal.

“Lookout” first airs May, 2017 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People“).

Sota Fukushi cast in movie “The Travelling Cat Chronicles”

Sota Fukushi is cast in new movie “The Travelling Cat Chronicles” (literal title). The movie is based on a novel “Tabineko Ripoto” by Hiro Arikawa (“Hankyu Railways“/”Library Wars“) and directed by Koichiro Miki. Director Koichiro Miki previously adapted Hiro Arikawa’s novel “Shokubutsu Zukan” into 2016 film “Evergreen Love.” Story for “The Travelling Cat Chronicles” follows Satoru played by Sota Fukushi. He decides to give up his cat Nana and looks for a new home Nana. His past and secret is revealed at this time.

“The Travelling Cat Chronicles” will be released next year in Japan via Shochiku.

Kang Sung-Yeon cast in MBC drama series “I Love You Dan-Ji”

Kang Sung-Yeon is cast in new weekday evening MBC drama series “I Love You Dan-Ji” (literal title). The drama series will be scripted by Ma Joo-Hee. For the drama series, Kang Sung-Yeon will play title character Dan-Ji. She supports her family as a bus driver for a small private institute. A man from a wealthy family falls in love with her.

“I Love You Dan-Ji” first airs May, 2017 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Monday-Friday 7:15PM time slot after “Person Who Gives Happiness“).

Cho Jung-Seok cast in movie “Drug King”

Cho Jung-Seok is cast in new movie “Drug King” (literal title) co-starring Song Kang-Ho. The duo previously appeared together in 2013 box-office hit “The Face Reader.” Also cast in supporting roles are Lee Sung-Min, Yoon Je-Moon and Kim So-Jin. The film is written and directed by Woo Min-Ho (“Inside Men“). Story for the film is set in Busan during the 1970’s. Song Kang-Ho will play a drug smuggler and Cho Jung-Seok will play a public prosecutor out to take him down. “Drug King” will be distributed by Showbox.

Tomoya Nagase cast in movie “The Flying Tire”

Tomoya Nagase (‘TOKIO’) is cast in new movie “The Flying Tire” (literal title). The movie is based on novel “Soratobu Taiya” by Jun Ikeido (“Hanzawa Naoki“) and directed by Katsuhide Motoki. Novel “Soratobu Taiya” was previously adapted into 2008 WOWOW drama series “The Flying Tire” starring Toru Nakamura and Seiichi Tanabe. Story for movie “The Flying Tire” follows trucking company owner Tokuro Akamatsu (Tomoya Nagase). A tire comes off one of his trucks and kills passengers in another car. While poor maintenance is initially blamed as the culprit, Tokuro Akamatsu uncovers a more disturbing answer involving the car manufacturer.

“The Flying Tire” will be released 2018 in Japan.

Character visuals of Yuya Yagira, Kankuro Nakamura and Ryo Yoshizawa in live-action film “Gintama”

Here’s character visuals of Yuya Yagira, Kankuro Nakamura and Ryo Yoshizawa for upcoming live-action film “Gintama.” The actors play Toshiro Hijikata (Yuya Yagira), Isao Kondo (Kankuro Nakamura) and Sogo Okita (Ryo Yoshizawa) respectively. The three are all members of special forces Shinsengumi. Their job is to keep public order and security.

“Gintama” opens July 14, 2017 in Japan.

First script reading for SBS drama series “Whisper”

First script reading for SBS drama series “Whisper,” starring Lee Sang-Yoon & Lee Bo-Young, took place at 2 PM, January 24, 2017 at SBS Studio in Tanhyun, Ilsan, South Korea. At the first script reading, main cast members including Lee Sang-Yoon, Lee Bo-Young, Kwon Yool, Park Se-Young, Yoon Joo-Hee, Kim Kap-Soo & Kim Hong-Fa all attended.

Ep.1 of “Whisper” is now scheduled to air March 27, 2017 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Monday and Tuesday 10 PM time slot after “Defendant“).
