Trailer for dTV live-action drama series “Impossibility Defense” (literal title) starring Tori Matsuzaka and Erika Sawajiri. The drama series is bassed on manga “Funohan” written by Arata Miyatsuki and precedes the live-action film “Impossibility Defense” which comes out February 1, 2018.

dTV drama series “Impossibility Defense” will be available to stream from December 22, 2017 in Japan.

Kim So-Hyun cast in KBS drama series “Radio Romance”

Kim So-Hyun is now cast in upcoming KBS drama series “Radio Romance” co-starring Yoon Doo-Joon (‘Highlight’). In the upcoming drama series, Kim So-Hyun will play lead female character Song Geu-Rim. She works as a radio program writer, but she doesn’t possess writing talent. The radio program where she is working on now faces cancellation. Song Geu-Rim succeeds in casting top actor Ji Soo-Ho (Yoon Doo-Joon).

“Radio Romance” first airs January, 2018 in South Korea.

Jun Shison cast in movie “Hashire! T Ko Basuketto Bu”

Jun Shison cast in movie “Hashire! T Ko Basuketto Bu.” The film is based on 2007 novel “Hashire! T Ko Basuketto Bu” by Hiroshi Matsuzaki and Takeshi Furusawa (“Love and Lies“) will direct the film. For movie “Hashire! T Ko Basuketto Bu,” Jun Shison will play high school student Yoichi Tadokoro. He’s good at basketball, but he gets bullied at his private high school and transfers to a school named “T School.” Yoichi Tadokoro plays on his new school’s basketball team as they will eventually play his old private high school team. To prepare to play Yoichi Tadokoro, Jun Shison received training from former basketball player Keishi Handa for 3 months.

“Hashire! T Ko Basuketto Bu” will be released autumn, 2018 in Japan.

First still images of Cha Seung-Won and Lee Seung-Gi in tvN drama series “A Korean Odyssey”

Here’s the first still images of Lee Seung-Gi and Cha Seung-Won in upcoming tvN drama series “A Korean Odyssey.” The still images of Lee Seung-Gi as Son O-Gong was filmed on November 13, 2017 in Seongname, South Korea. That was his first day of filming for the drama series. The still images of Cha Seung-Won as King Wooma were taken on an undisclosed day. King Wooma is a giant white bull demon, but in the human world King Wooma is the CEO of the largest entertainment company in Korea. He is highly admired by the public.

Mitsuki Takahata cast in TV Tokyo live-action drama special “Boukyaku no Sachiko: A Meal Makes Her Forget”

Mitsuki Takahata is cast in TV Tokyo live-action drama special “Boukyaku no Sachiko: A Meal Makes Her Forget.” The drama special is based on manga “Boukyaku no Sachiko” by Jun Abe and directed by Santa Yamagishi. For the drama special, Mitsuki Takahata will play main character Sachiko Sasaki. On the day of her wedding, Sachiko Sasaki’s fiance disappears. The next day, Sachiko Sasaki is unable to stop thinking about her fiance except when she gets a meal at a restaurant. She then becomes a fan of gourmet meals.

2 main posters for upcoming based-on-a-true-story film “1987: When The Day Comes” starring Kim Yun-Seok and Ha Jung-Woo. The posters feature 6 characters who got involved in the case of a 22-year-old university student tortured to death. Along with Kim Yun-Seok and Ha Jung-Woo, the posters feature Kim Tae-Ri, Yu Hae-Jin, Park Hee-Soon and Lee Hee-Joon. The 6 main characters in the film and how they relate to the story:

Suzu Hirose visual for NTV drama series “Anone” and supporting cast announced

Here’s a visual of Suzu Hirose in character as Harika Tsujisawa for upcoming NTV drama series “Anone” co-starring Yuko Tanaka. Harika Tsujisawa is a 19-year-old girl who now lives out of an internet cafe after becoming separated from her parents. She then meets an older woman played by Yuko Tanaka who is also an outcast from society and has been through similar experiences. They begin to live together as a family, but an incident occers.

Now cast in supporting roles are Eita, Satomi Kobayashi, Sadao Abe and Shohei Hino. Eita will play a mysterious figure named Riichi Nakaseko.

“Anone” first airs January, 2018 in Japan.

First script reading for JTBC drama series “Misty”

First script reading for upcoming JTBC drama series “Misty” took place in October, 2017 at the JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. Main cast members including Kim Nam-Joo, Ji Jin-Hee, Jeon Hye-Jin, Im Tae-Kyung, Lee Kyoung-Young, Ahn Nae-Sang, Im Tae-Kyung, Jin Ki-Joo and Go Joon all attended. Filming for the drama series began in late October, 2017. Story for “Misty” follows newscaster Go Hye-Ran (Kim Nam-Joo) as she is accused of murder. Her attorney husband (Ji Jin-Hee) defends her while they also rekindle their detoriating marriage.

“Misty” first airs January 26, 2018 in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Friday and Saturday 11PM time slot after “Untouchable“).
