First script reading for SBS drama series “Dear Judge”

First script reading for SBS drama series “Dear Judge” took place recently at SBS Ilsan Production Center in Tanhyun, South Korea. Main cast members including Yoon Si-Yoon, Lee Yoo-Young, Park Byung-Eun, Nara (‘Hellovenus’) and Sung Dong-Il all attended. The drama series features Yoon Si-Yoon playing identical twin brothers Han Kang-Ho & Han Soo-Ho. One brother is a judge and the other is a criminal.

“Dear Judge” first airs July, 2018 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot after “The Undateables“).

Teaser poster for tvN drama series “Familiar Wife”

First teaser poster added for upcoming tvN drama series “Familiar Wife” starring Ji Sung and Han Ji-Min. Korean caption on the teaser poster states “Once in My Life” and followed in English with “if.” Story for the drama series follows a choice made by a man (Ji Sung) that leads to him and his wife (Han Ji-Min) living different lives in the present day.

“Familiar Wife” first airs August, 2018 in South Korea.

Junichi Okada cast in live-action film “The Fable”

Junichi Okada is cast for the lead role in live-action film “The Fable.” The movie is based on manga “The Fable” by Katsuhisa Minami. The manga won in the general category at the 2017 Kodansha Manga Award. Also cast for supporting roles for the film are Fumino Kimura, Koichi Sato, Mizuki Yamamoto, Ken Yasuda, Yuya Yagira, Osamu Mukai and Sota Fukushi. Story for the film follows an assassin who gets one year off and lives as a regular person in Osaka. Movie is directed by Kan Eguchi.

“The Fable” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Mayu Watanabe cast in Fuji TV drama series “Someday Until This Rain Stops”

Former AKB48 member Mayu Watanabe is cast in Fuji TV drama series “Someday Until This Rain Stops” (“Itsuka Kono Ame ga Yamu Hi made”). Mayu Watanabe will play main character Hikari Kitazono. She dreams of becoming a musical actress, but her life was turned inside out after her older brother was arrested for murdering his girlfriend. When her brother is finally released from prison, he tells her that he is innocent.

“Someday Until This Rain Stops” first airs August 4, 2018 in Japan.

First still images of Hyun-Bin in tvN drama series “Memories of the Alhambra”

Here’s the first still images of Hyun-Bin from upcoming tvN drama series “Memories of the Alhambra” co-starring Park Shin-Hye. The still images are from a scene filmed in Spain. Filming for the drama series is still taking place in Spain as well. For “Memories of the Alhambra,” Hyun-Bin plays Yoo Jin-Woo. He is the CEO of an investment company.

Haruma Miura and Masataka Kubota cast in live-action film “Gintama 2”

Haruma Miura and Masataka Kubota are cast in upcoming live-action film “Gintama 2” starring Shun Oguri. Haruma Miura will play Kamotaro Ito. He is a staff officer in the Shinsengumi. Masataka Kubota will play Bansai Kawakami. He is a music producer, but he also belongs to the armed Kiheitai group. Both Haruma Miura and Masataka Kubota did not appear in the 2017 film “Gintama.”

“Gintama 2” opens August 17, 2018 in Japan.

First script reading for SBS drama series “About Her”

First script reading for SBS drama series “About Her” (literal title) took place May 22, 2018 at SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Seoul, South Korea. Main cast members Nam Sang-Mi, Kim Jae-Won, Jo Hyun-Jae, Lee Mi-Sook, Han Eun-Jung, Yang Jin-Sung and Jinwoon (‘2AM’) all attended. Story for the drama series follows a woman who undergoes plastic surgery and then loses her memory.

“About Her” first airs July 14, 2018 in South Korea.
