Shuhei Nomura and Rin Takanashi cast in Fuji TV drama series “Kekkon Aite wa Chusen de”

Shuhei Nomura and Rin Takanashi are cast in new Fuji TV-Tokai TV drama series “Kekkon Aite wa Chusen de.” The drama series is based 2010 novel “Kekkon Aite wa Chusen de” by Miu Kakiya. Also cast in supporting roles are Ryohei Otani, Aimi Satsukawa and Mayumi Wakamura. The drama series is set around Japan implementing a new policy to combat the nation’s low birthrate. Their new policy is mandatory blind dates for single individuals from the age of 25 to 39.

“Kekkon Aite wa Chusen de” first airs October 6, 2018 in Japan.

Shinichi Tsutsumi, Yuya Yagira and Rina Kawaei cast in movie “Nakuna Akaoni”

Shinichi Tsutsumi, Yuya Yagira and Rina Kawaei are cast in movie “Nakuna Akaoni.” The film is based on short story “Nakuna Akaoni” by Kiyoshi Shigematsu and directed by Atsushi Kaneshige. In the film, Shinichi Tsutsumi will play former high school baseball coach Takashi Obuchi. He learns a former student (played by Yuya Yagira) has terminal cancer and only 6 months to live. Filming for “Nakuna Akaoni” will begin early next month in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture.

“Nakuna Akaoni” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Jung Yu-Mi to make cameo appearance in tvN drama series “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim”

Actress Jung Yu-Mi will make a cameo appearance in currently airing tvN drama series “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.” The drama series stars Park Seo-Joon and Park Min-Young. For Jung Yu-Mi’s cameo appearance, she will play a friend of Young-Joon (Park Seo-Joon) and she runs a restaurant. Jung Yu-Mi accepted the cameo appearance due to her friendship with Park Seo-Joon. They appeared together in tvN reality tv show “Youn’s Kitchen Season 2.”

Jung Yu-Mi ‘s cameo appearance will occur in ep.14 of “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” which airs July 19, 2018.

Teaser poster for movie “Wonderful Ghost”

Here’s a launching poster for upcoming movie “Wonderful Ghost” starring Ma Dong-Seok, Kim Young-Kwang and Lee Yoo-Young. Movie is directed by Jo Won-Hee (“Enemy at the Dead End“). The film follows a gym owner (Ma Dong-Seok) as he is followed by a ghost played by Kim Young-Kwang and he gets involved in a case. On the launching poster, the caption in Korean states “Don’t come, disappear, don’t talk.”

“Wonderful Ghost” is now set for release sometime this September in South Korea.

Teaser poster for movie “Feng Shui”

Here’s a launching poster for upcoming movie “Feng Shui” (literal title “Propitious Site for Grave”) starring Cho Seung-Woo,Ji Sung, Kim Sung-Kyun and Moon Chae-Won. The poster has Cha Seung-Woo as Park Jae-Sang walking along a busy road. The caption in Korean asks “Do you want to know about a site that will change your fate?”

In addition, “Feng Shui” is now targeted for release September, 2018 in South Korea.

Hiroshi Abe cast in TBS sequel drama series “Downtown Rocket 2”

Hiroshi Abe is cast in TBS sequel drama series “Downtown Rocket 2” (“Shitamachi Rocket”). The drama series is based on novel “Shitamachi Rocket Gosuto” by Jun Ikeido and follows 2015 TBS drama series “Downtown Rocket.” Hiroshi Abe will reprise his main character role of Ryohei Tsukuda in the sequel drama series. Also cast in supporting roles and returning from the season 1 are  Danshun Tatekawa, Ken Yasuda, Soko Wada, Hiroki Konno, Ken Nakamoto and Ayumi Tanida.

“Downtown Rocket 2” will air from October, 2018 in Japan.
