Kim Min-Suk cast in “KBS Drama Special: Almost Within Reach”

Kim Min-Suk is cast in upcoming “KBS Drama Special: Almost Within Reach” (literal title). The drama special is currently slated as the 9th installment in this year’s KBS Drama Special series. Story for “Almost Within Reach” will revolve around the electrifying sport of curling. Kim Min-Suk will play Sung-Chan. He partners with Young-Joo in mixed doubles curling.

“KBS Drama Special: Almost Within Reach” is currently scheduled to air November 16, 2018 in South Korea.

Jo Bo-Ah cast in SBS drama series “Bok-Soo’s Back”

Jo Bo-Ah is cast for the lead female role in SBS drama series “Bok-Soo’s Back” co-starring Yoo Seung-Ho. For the drama series, Jo Bo-Ah will play Son Soo-Jung. Back in her high school days, she was the first love of Kang Bok-Soo (Yoo Seung-Ho). She betrayed him though and got him kicked out of school. She now works as a high school teacher there and meets Kang Bok-Soo again.

“Bok-Soo’s Back” first airs December, 2018 (takes over SBS’ Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Where Stars Land“).

Teaser trailer and couple posters for KBS2 drama series “Matrimonial Chaos”

First teaser trailer for KBS2 drama series “Matrimonial Chaos” starring Cha Tae-HyunBae Doo-NaLee El and Son Seok-Koo. The drama series is a remake of 2013 Japanese drama series “Matrimonial Chaos” (“Saikou no Rikon”).

Meanwhile, above and below are couple posters for the drama series. One set features Jo Seok-Moo (Cha Tae-Hyun) and Kang Whee-Roo (Bae Doo-Na), while the other features Jin Yoo-Young (Lee El) and Lee Jang-Hyun (Son Seok-Koo).

“Matrimonial Chaos” first airs October 8, 2018 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Lovely Horribly“).

Ken Yasuda cast in live-action film “Haha o Nakushita Toki, Boku wa Ikotsu o Tabetai to Omotta”

Ken Yasuda is cast in live-action film “Haha o Nakushita Toki, Boku wa Ikotsu o Tabetai to Omotta.” Also cast in supporting roles are Mitsuko Baisho, Nao Matsushita, Jun Murakami and Renji Ishibashi. The film is based on manga “Haha o Nakushita Toki, Boku wa Ikotsu o Tabetai to Omotta” by Satoshi Miyagawa and directed by  Tatsushi Omori. Story for the film follows a family who have started new lives after the death of the mother (Mitsuko Baisho), but a present from her is revived.

“Haha o Nakushita Toki, Boku wa Ikotsu o Tabetai to Omotta” will be released February, 2019 in Japan.

Main trailer for movie “Lying to Mom”

Main trailer for movie “Lying to Mom” starring Ittoku KishibeHideko HaraMai Kiryu and Ryo Kase. Movie will have its world premiere at the 31st Tokyo International Film Festival (Oct. 25-Nov. 3, 2018) in the “Japanese Cinema Splash” section. Movie is written and directed by Katsumi Nojiri. The film follows the Suzuki family as they deal with the sudden death of the eldest son. His death causes the mother to lose her memory.

“Lying to Mom” will be released November 16, 2018 in Japan.

Miona Hori cast in live-action film “Hot Gimmick”

Miona Hori  from idol group ‘Nogizaka46’ is cast for the lead role in live-action film “Hot Gimmick.” Also cast in major supporting character roles are Hiroya Shimizu, Mizuki Itagaki and Shotaro Mamiya. The film is based on manga “Hot Gimmick” by Miki Aihara and will be directed by Yuki Yamato. In the film, Miona Hori will play Hatsumi Narita. She lives in apartment complex where her childhood friend Azusa Odagiri (Mizuki Itagaki) returns. Hiroya Shimizu will play Ryoki Tachibana and Shotaro Mamiya will play Shinogu Narita.

Filming for “Hot Gimmick” will begin mid-October, 2018 and the movie will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Teaser trailer #2 for OCN drama series “Quiz from God: Reboot”

Teaser trailer #2 added for OCN drama series “Quiz from God: Reboot” starring Ryu Deok-Hwan and Yoon Joo-Hee. The teaser trailer has Han Jin-Woo (Ryu Deok-Hwan) returning to the Medical Examiner Office at Korea National University. He states in Korean “I had a hard time, but the waiting is now over,” but the security guard in the lobby doesn’t recognize him or allows him to enter.
