Teaser trailer #2 & character poster for JTBC drama series “My Country”

Teaser trailer #2 and Woo Do-Hwan’s character poster added for JTBC drama series “My Country” starring Yang Se-Jong, Seol Hyun and Woo Do-Hwan. While teaser trailer #1 featured Yang Se-Jong as Seo Hwi, teaser trailer #2 features Woo Do-Hyun as Nam Sun-Ho. The teaser trailer starts with Woo Do-Hwan stating in Korean “I will take, even though that means I will turn against you.” The poster below is of Woo Do-Hwan as Nam Sun-Ho.

“My Country” is now scheduled to first air October 4, 2019 in South Korea.

Supporting cast & release date for movie “The Back of Shadow”

Supporting cast and release date added for movie “The Back of Shadow” (literal title of “Eiri”) starring Gou Ayano and Ryuhei Matsuda. Newly announced supporting cast members are Mariko Tsutsui, Tomoya Nakamura, Kinari Hirano, Jun Kunimura, Eiko Nagashima and Ken Yasuda. The film is based on 2017 novel “Eiri” by Shinsuke Numata. The novel won the 157th Akutagawa Prize in 2017. Movie is also directed by Keishi Ohtomo (“Rurouni Kenshin“).

“The Back of Shadow” is now set for release February 14, 2020 in Japan.

Trailer #1 and 3 character posters added for romantic-comedy film “Shall We Do It Twice” (literal title) starring Kwon Sang-Woo, Lee Jung-Hyun and Lee Jong-Hyuk. The film follows a husband (Kwon Sang-Woo) and wife (Lee Jung-Hyun) who actually has a divorce ceremony and go their separate ways, but they meet again. Movie is written and directed by Park Yong-Jib (“Miss Gold Digger“).

“Shall We Do It Twice ” will be released October, 2019 in South Korea.

Ayaka Miyoshi cast in horror film “Howling Village”

Ayaka Miyoshi is cast in horror film “Howling Village” (English title). The film is co-written by Takashi Shimizu (“Ju-on“) & Daisuke Hosaka (“Sadako 3D 2 “) and directed by Takashi Shimizu. Story for “Howling Village” revolves around Inunaki Village which exists in many urban legends as a deserted & haunted town. Ayaka Miyoshi plays Kanae Morita. She has the special ability to see spirits.

“Howling Village” will be released February 7, 2020 in Japan.

Cho Seung-Woo cast in tvN drama series “Stranger Season 2”

Cho Seung-Woo is cast in tvN drama series “Stranger Season 2” (placeholder title). The drama series is a sequel to 2017 tvN drama series “Stranger.” Actress Bae Doo-Na has also been offered to reprise her lead female role of Han Yeo-Jin and she is still considering her offer. For “Stranger 2,” Cho Seung-Woo will reprise his lead male character role of Prosecutor Hwang Shi-Mok. The screenplay for “Stranger 2” will also be written by Lee Soo-Yeon who wrote the screenplay for the first season. Park Hyun-Suk, who has largely worked with KBS up to this point, will direct the drama series.

Filming for “Stranger Season 2” will begin sometime during the first half of 2020 in South Korea.

Teaser poster for movie “My Punch-Drunk Boxer”

Teaser poster added for movie “My Punch-Drunk Boxer” starring Um Tae-Goo and Hyeri (Girl’s Day). The film is written and directed by Jung Hyuk-Ki. Story for “My Punch-Drunk Boxer” follows a former professional boxer (Um Tae-Goo) as he tries to make a comeback with his “pansori boxing” style. He is also diagnosed with punch-drunk syndrome.

“My Punch-Drunk Boxer” already screened at 20th Jeonju International Film Festival and the movie will have its general release October, 2019 in South Korea.

Tsubasa Honda cast in NTV-YTV drama series “Cheat”

Tsubasa Honda is cast for the lead role new NTV-YTV drama series “Cheat.” Also cast in supporting roles are Daichi Kaneko, Shuhei Uesugi, Haruka Fukuhara, Miu Tomita, Mayuu Yokota, Sho Kiyohara, Mansaku Ikeuchi, Ren Kiriyama and Shunsuke Kazama.  The drama series will follow 25-year-old Saki Hoshino (Tsubasa Honda). She is a member of swindler team Cheat and also secretly a member of an unpopular idol group.

“Cheat” will first air October 3, 2019 in Japan.
