First teaser trailers for JTBC drama “The Nice Guy”

First three teaser trailers added for JTBC drama series “The Nice Guy” starring Lee Dong-Wook & Lee Sung-Kyung. The three teaser trailers are character trailers for Lee Dong-Wook’s lead male character Park Seok-Cheol. His character Park Seok-Cheol comes from a family that is involved in organized crime, but he has a passion for Ernest Hemingway and holds a pure love for Kang Mi-Young (Lee Sung-Kyung). The teaser trailers are titled “Noir Version,” “Literature Version,” and “Integrated Version.” Lee Dong-Wook’s narration for “Noir Version” teaser states “Man who had much to protect,” the “Literature Version” has Lee Dong-Wook stating “Hemingway said that as long as the sun rises, there is hope. Will the sun rise again for me?,” and the “Integrated Version” teaser has Lee Dong-Wook stating “Some day, some day somewhere I will tell the story. There were two paths in the woods and I took the path less traveled by people. Because of that, everything changed.”

“The Nice Guy” will air first air July 18, 2025 and takes up a new Friday 8:50 PM time slot with two consecutive episodes airing each Friday.

The drama series is a remake of Canadian TV series “Mary Kills People” that aired on Global Television Network from 2017 to 2019. Shin Min-A, Ju Ji-Hoon, Lee Jong-Suk, & Lee Se-Young cast in Disney+ drama “The Remarried Empress”

Shin Min-A, Ju Ji-Hoon, Lee Jong-Suk, & Lee Se-Young are cast in Disney+ drama series “The Remarried Empress.” The drama series is based on webnovel “Jaehon Hwanghu” by Alphatart and will be directed by Jo Soo-Won. Director Jo Soo-Won has previously worked with actor Lee Jong-Suk in 2013 SBS drama series “I Can Hear Your Voice” and 2014 SBS drama series “Pinocchio.” He also previously worked with actress Lee Se-Young in 2019 SBS drams series “Doctor John.” Story for “The Remarried Empress” lies squarely within in the fantasy-romance genre and set among two fictional kingdoms.

The first script reading for the “The Remarried Empress” took place May 13, 2025 and the drama series will first air sometime next year.

Poster and release date for Disney+ drama “Low Life”

Launching poster and release date set for Disney+ drama series “Low Life” starring Ryu Seung-Ryong, Yang Se-Jong, and Lim Soo-Jung. The drama series is based on webcomic “Pain” by Yoon Tae-Ho (“Misaeng: Incomplete Life“), which is based on a true incident from 1970’s involving a sunken treasure ship. Caption on the launching poster states “In the year 1977, the scent of money arises from the waters of Shinan.”

“Low Life” will consist of 11 episodes and the first 3 episodes will premiere on July 16, 2025. 2 episodes per week will then follow until August 13, 2025.

Tsuyoshi Kusanagi cast in Fuji TV-KTV drama “Shumaku no Rondo”

Tsuyoshi Kusanagi is cast in Fuji TV-KTV drama series “Shumaku no Rondo.” The original screenplay is written by Miyuki Takahashi (“Hibana: Spark“) and directed by Tadaaki Horai & Yoshishige Miyake. Directors Tadaaki Horai & Yoshishige Miyake previously worked with Tsuyoshi Kusanagi in 2023 Fuji TV-KTV drama series “War of Traps.” For actor Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, “Shumaku no Rondo” will be his 9th KTV drama series and 10th if including his 2013 drama special “Kamisama no Berebou.” In the upcoming drama series, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi will play a man who works as an estate cleaner. More details about the drama series will be revealed at a later date.

“Shumaku no Rondo” will first air October, 2025 in Japan (takes over Fuji TV’s Monday 10 PM time slot after “Bokutachi wa Mada Sono Hoshi no Kosoku wo Shiranai“).

Ji Sung, Park Hee-Soon, & Won Jin-A are cast in MBC drama series “Judge Lee Han-Young” (literal title). The fantasy law drama series is based on 2018 web novel “Pansa Leehanyoung” by Lee Hae-Nal. In “Judge Lee Han-Young,” Ji Sung will play title character Judge Lee Han-Young. He is a corrupt judge, but when he decides to to change his way, he finds that he has traveled 10 years back into his past. He tries to punish evil by making new choices.

“Judge Lee Han-Young” will air sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.

Jung Il-Woo, Jung In-Sun and Yoon Hyun-Min are cast in KBS2 drama series “Glamorous Days” (literal title). The weekend drama series is scripted by So Hyeon-Kyeong and directed by Kim Hyung-Suk. Screenwriter So Hyeon-Kyeong and Director Kim Hyung-Suk previously worked together in 2017 KBS2 drama series “My Golden Life.” The three leads will play friends who experience life as through trials and tribulations.
