Teaser poster and release date set for TVING drama series “Spirit Fingers” starring Park Ji-Hu and Jo Joon-Young. Drama series is based on webcomic “Spirit Fingers” by Han Kyung-Chal and directed by Lee Chul-Ha (“Unlock My Boss“). Caption in blue by Park Ji-Hu on the teaser poster asks “Why do you like me?” and caption in red by Jo Joon-Young responds with “Of all the girls I know, you’re the only one like you!”

“Spirit Fingers” will be available to stream from October 29, 2025.

Hwang In-Yeop and Hyeri cast in ENA-Genie TV drama “Dream to You”

Hwang In-Yeop and Hyeri are cast in ENA-Genie TV drama series “Dream to You” (literal title). Drama series features an original screenplay by Jeong Eun-Bi and directed by Yoo Sun-Dong (“Unmasked “). For “Dream to You,” Hwang In-Yeop and Hyeri will play two people in their 30’s, who were friends in their teenage years. At that time, they dreamed of becoming movie directors. Hwang In-Yeop’s Woo Su-Bin character actually becomes a movie director and returns to South Korea. Hyeri’s Joo Yi-Jae works a reporter, but carries a void in her heart.

“Dream to You” will air sometime next year in South Korea.

Ren Meguro cast in live-action film “Sakamoto Days”

Ren Meguro is cast for the lead role in live-action film “Sakamoto Days.” Movie is based on manga series “Sakamoto Days” by Yuto Suzuki and directed by Yuichi Fukuda (“Saint Young Men“). Story for “Sakamoto Days” will have Ren Meguro play Taro Sakamoto. He is a former assassin, but is now retired and has a family. To portray Taro Sakamoto, who gained weight up to 140 kg, Ren Meguro underwent special makeup for 4 hours a day when filming.

“Sakamoto Days” will be released sometime in late April, 2026 during Golden Week.

Teaser posters and air date set for JTBC drama series “The Dream Life of Mr. Kim” starring Ryu Seung-Ryong, Myung Se-Bin, & Cha Kang-Yoon. Drama series is based on webcomic “Seoul Jagae Daekieob Danineun Kim Bujang Yiyaki” by Song Hee-Gu & Kim Byeong-Gwan. The teaser posters consist of 3 “survival” posters of Ryu Seung-Ryong who plays Kim Nam-Su. He experiences a drastic change in his life.

“The Dream Life of Mr. Kim” is now set to air from October 25, 2025 in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Saturday & Sunday 10:40 PM time slot after “A Hundred Memories“).

Teaser poster and release date for Disney+ drama “The Manipulated”

Teaser poster and release date set for Disney+ drama series “The Manipulated” starring Ji Chang-Wook and Do Kyung-Soo. The drama series is inspired by 2017 movie “Fabricated City,” which also starred Ji Chang-Wook, but tells a new revenge themed story with new characters. Caption on the teaser poster states “The day my life was fabricated, the race began.” Screenwriter Oh Sang-Ho also worked on both the 2017 movie “Fabricated City” and the new Disney+ drama series “The Manipulated.”

“The Manipulated” will consist of 12 total episodes and the first 4 episodes will be available to stream on November 5, 2025. Two episodes will follow each of the following four weeks.

Main trailer and poster added for Netflix drama series “Romantics Anonymous” starring Shun Oguri and Han Hyo-Joo. Drama series is a remake of 2010 French film “Les Emotifs anonymes” and directed by Sho Tsukikawa (“Let Me Eat Your Pancreas“). The trailer begins with Sosuke Fujiwara (Shun Oguri) and Ha-Na (Han Hyo-Joo), both having spent their days completely unrelated to dating, having a fateful encounter due to chocolate.

“Romantics Anonymous” will premiere October 16, 2025.

Lee Jae-Wook & Shin Ye-Eun cast in ENA-Genie TV drama “Holdout Doctor”

Lee Jae-Wook & Shin Ye-Eun are cast in ENA-Genie TV drama series “Holdout Doctor” (literal working title). The drama series is based on webcomic “Jonbeodoctor” by Kim Tae-Poong and directed by Lee Myung-Woo (“Boyhood“). For “Holdout Doctor,” Lee Jae-Wook will play plastic surgeon Do Ji-Ui. He enlists as a public health doctor, to fulfill his mandatory military requirement, and gets assigned to work on a rural island village. There he meets Nurse Yook Ha-Ri (Shin Ye-Eun).

“Holdout Doctor” will air sometime next year in South Korea.

Main trailer and poster added for movie “Kaede” starring Sota Fukushi and Haruka Fukuhara. Movie is based on 1998 song “Kaede” by rock band Spitz and directed by Isao Yukisada. In movie “Kaede,” Sota Fukushi plays twin brothers Ryo Sunaga and Kei Sunaga. After older brother Kei Sunaga dies in an accident in New Zealand, his traumatized girlfriend Ako Kinoshita mistakes Ryo Sunaga to be Kei Sunaga. Ryo Sunaga spends time with Ako Kinoshita as his older brother and becomes attracted to Ako Kinoshita.

“Kaede” will be released December 19, 2025 in Japan.
