Shin Ha-Kyun, Oh Jung-Se, & Heo Sung-Tae cast in MBC drama “Fifties Professionals”

Shin Ha-Kyun, Oh Jung-Se, & Heo Sung-Tae are cast in MBC drama series “Fifties Professionals.” The drama series is an action-comedy scripted by Jang Won-Seob and directed by Han Dong-Hwa (“Shadow Detective“). Setup for the drama series revolves around three men who are now on Yeongseon Island. They each are seeking for the truth behind an incident that happened in the past. Shin Ha-Kyun will play Jung Ho-Myung. He is an ex-black agent for the National Intelligence Service. Oh Jung-Se will play Bong Je-Soon. He was a special agent for North Korea, but he has lost his memory. Heo Sung-Tae will play Kang Beom-Ryong. He owns a convenience store on the island and is the former #2 guy for a notorious gang.

“Fifties Professionals” will air sometime during the first half of 2026 in South Korea.

Sota Fukushi and Naoto Ogata cast in Fuji TV drama “Tokyo P.D.”

Sota Fukushi and Naoto Ogata are cast in Fuji TV drama series “Tokyo P.D.” The drama series features an original screenplay that is set in the public relations department at the Metropolitan Police Department. Sota Fukushi will play Rintaro Imaizumi. He is a detective that gets transferred to the public relations department. Due to a past incident, he doesn’t like reporters. Naoto Ogata will play Naoshi Ando. He is the chief of the public relations department and supports Rintaro Imaizumi from behind the scenes.

“Tokyo P.D.” will first air January, 2026 in Japan (takes over Fuji TV’s Tuesday 9PM time slot previously occupied by “Tokyo Water Police“).

Kenichi Matsuyama cast in NHK drama “Themis’ Uncertain Court”

Kenichi Matsuyama is cast in NHK drama series “Themis’ Uncertain Court” (literal title). Drama series is based on 2024 novel “Themis no Futashikana Hotei” by Sho Naoshima. For “Themis’ Uncertain Court,” Kenichi Matsuyama will play Kiyoharu Ando. He is a judge, but tries to hide the fact that he is autistic and has ADHD.

“Themis’ Uncertain Court” will first air January 6, 2026 in Japan.

First teaser trailer and teaser poster added for Netflix drama series “The Price of Confession” starring Jeon Do-Yeon and Kim Go-Eun. Drama series is scripted by Kwon Jong-Kwan (“Sad Movie“) and directed by Lee Jung-Hyo (“Doona!“). The mystery-thriller script follows An Yoon-Soo (Jeon Do-Yeon), who is suspected of killing her husband, and Mo Eun (Kim Go-Eun), who is a mysterious figure and known as a witch.
