Teaser trailer for JTBC drama “Dr. Cha”

First teaser trailer for JTBC drama series “Dr. Cha” starring Uhm Jung-Hwa & Kim Byung-Chul. Captions in the teaser trailer states (0:07) “You, who still have fireworks left in your heart” and (0:“11) “This is the beginning.” Uhm Jung-Hwa then states “Believe it or not, I’m a doctor. I know from now on I’m going to have completely different life.” In the drama series, Uhm Jung-Hwa plays a housewife, who decides to resume her medical career after 20 years.

“Dr. Cha” first airs April 15, 2023 in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Saturday and Sunday 10:30 PM time slot after “Divorce Attorney Shin“).

Jeon Hye-Jin & Sooyoung cast in drama “Namnam”

Jeon Hye-Jin, Sooyoung, Ahn Jae-Wook, & Park Sung-Hoon are cast in new drama series “Namnam.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Namnam” by Jung Young-Rong, which is published via Kakao. The comedy-drama script will have Jeon Hye-Jin and Sooyoung play mother and daughter who still live together. Ahn Jae-Wook will play a doctor and Park Sung-Hoon will play a police officer, who works with Sooyoung’s character at a police substation.

Release date is scheduled for sometime in the second half of this year.

First teaser trailer for tvN drama series “Stealer: The Treasure Keeper” starring Joo Won. The action-comedy drama series has Joo Won playing a thief named Skunk and a public officer named Hwang Dae-Myung. Captions in the teaser trailer states (0:!2) “For those who are after cultural assets,” (0:!6) “Punishment,” and (0:20) “Begins.”

“Stealer: The Treasure Keeper” first airs April 12, 2023 (takes over tvN’s Wednesday & Thursday 10:30PM time slot after “The Heavenly Idol“).

Son Suk-Ku, Kim Sung-Cheol cast in movie “Troll Farm”

Son Suk-Ku, Kim Sung-Cheol, Kim Dong-Hwi, and Hong Kyung are cast in movie “Troll Farm” (working & literal title). The crime drama film has Son Suk-Ku playing Reporter Im Sang-Jin. He looks into a tip he received about a troll farm. Members of the troll farm are played by Kim Sung-Cheol, Kim Dong-Hwi, and Hong Kyung. Movie is written and directed by Ahn Gooc-Jin (“Alice In Earnestland“).

Filming for “Troll Farm” began March 6, 2023.

Trailer and poster for movie “Daimyo Tousan”

Trailer and poster added for movie “Daimyo Tousan” starring Ryunosuke Kamiki, Hana Sugisaki, & Kenichi Matsuyama. The samurai-comedy film is directed by Tetsu Maeda (“A Banana? At This Time of Night?“) and based on 2019 novel “Daimyo Tousan” by Jiro Asada. The movie’s theme song has also been announced as “Wonderful” by pop-rock group GReeeeN. That song “Wonderful” is played during the trailer.

“Daimyo Tousan” will be released June 23, 2023 in Japan.

Teaser trailer & poster for Genie TV drama “Paper Moon”

Launching teaser trailer and poster added for Genie TV drama series “Paper Moon” starring Kim Seo-Hyung. The drama series is based on 2012 Japanese novel “Kami no Tsuki” by Mitsuyo Kakuta, which was previously adapted into 2014 NHK drama series “Paper Moon” starring Tomoyo Harada and 2014 movie “Pale Moon” starring Rie Miyazawa. In the launching teaser trailer, Kim Seo-Hyung states “For fake happiness, can I betray my real life?”

“Paper Moon” will be available to stream  April, 2023 in South Korea.
