First script reading for movie “Namhansanseong”

First script reading for movie “Namhansanseong,” starring Lee Byung-Hun, Kim Yun-Seok & Park Hae-Il, took place November 11, 2016 in South Korea. Filming for the period film will begin November 21, 2016.

Story for “Namhansanseong” takes place over 47 days in the mountain fortress city Namhansanseong during the year 1636. At that time, the country of Joseon is under attack by Qing and King Injo (Park Hae-Il), along with retainers  Choi Myung-Kil (Lee Byung-Hun) and Kim Sang-Hun (Kim Yun-Seok), retreat to Namhansanseong. Movie is directed by Hwang Dong-Hyuk (“Silenced“/”Miss Granny“).

“Namhansanseong” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.

Main trailer and poster for disaster film “Pandora”

Main trailer and poster added for upcoming disaster film “Pandora” starring Kim Nam-Gil. Premise for the film revolves around a nuclear disaster which causes nuclear power plant employee Jae-Hyeok (Kim Nam-Gil) to try to save his family and nation.

“Pandora” will open sometime this December in South Korea.

Main trailer for movie “Missing”

Main trailer added for upcoming mystery film “Missing” starring Uhm Ji-Won & Kong Hyo-Jin. Movie is directed by Lee Eon-Hee (“…ing“). Story for “Missing” follows a mother (Uhm Ji-Won) as she searches for her daughter who went missing with her babysitter (Kong Hyo-Jin).

“Missing” will be released November 30, 2016 in South Korea.

Release date for “My Annoying Brother” changed

Release date for upcoming film “My Annoying Brother,” starring Cho Jung-Seok, Do Kyung-Soo & Park Shin-Hye, has been pulled up by a week from November 31st to November 24th, 2016. The earlier release date was made in reaction to positive early previews for the film. The film follows a young talented judo athlete (Do Kyung-Soo) and his older brother (Cho Jung-Seok) who gets released from prison after 15 years. Park Shin-Hye plays the judo coach.

Cho Jin-Woong & Song Seung-Heon cast in movie “Commander Kim Chang-Soo”

Cho Jin-Woong and Song Seung-Heon are now cast in upcoming movie “Commander Kim Chang-Soo” (literal title). Also cast in supporting roles are Jeong Man-Sik, Jung Jin-Young, Lee Seo-Won, Kwak Dong-Yeon, Yoo Seung-Mok, Shin Jung-Keun & Jeong Gyu-Su. First script reading for the film took place October 31, 2016 and filming began today, November 7, 2016.

In the upcoming movie, Cho Jin-Woong plays main character Kim Chang-Soo. After becoming imprisoned, he becomes a fighter for Korean independence (movie is set in the early 1900’s). Song Seung-Heon will play Kang Hyung-Sik. He is cold hearted prison governor. This is the first time for Song Seung-Heon to play a villain.

“Commander Kim Chang-Soo” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.
