Filming for movie “Robber” finishes

Filming for upcoming movie “Robber” (literal title), starring Sol Kyung-Gu & Siwan, finished December 10, 2016. Shooting took 4 months to complete. The photos above are from the last day of filming for the movie. Story for “Robber” takes place in prison and follows the aspirations of an inmate played by Sol Kyung-Gu to become the most powerful prisoner. Siwan plays a new inmate who doesn’t answer to anyone. Movie is written and directed by Byun Sung-Hyun.

“Robber” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.

Shin Ha-Kyun & Do Kyung-Soo cast in movie “Room 7”

Shin Ha-Kyun and Do Kyung-Soo (‘EXO-K’) are cast in new movie “Room 7.” The film will be directed by Lee Yong-Seung (“10 Minutes“).

Story for “Room 7” takes place at a DVD bang. A DVD bang is a place in South Korea that rents out DVD’s to be watched in their rooms which usually feature comfortable couches, projection TV’s and high fidelity stereo systems.  In movie “Room 7,” Shin Ha-Kyun plays Doo-Sik. He owns a DVD bang, but the business is about to go bankrupt. Do Kyung-Soo will play Tae-Jung. He works part-time at the DVD bang. A mystery then takes place in room 7 at the DVD bang.

Filming for “Room 7” begins this January in South Korea.

Main trailer for movie “Misbehavior”

Main trailer added for upcoming movie “Misbehavior” starring Kim Ha-Neul, Yu In-Young & Lee Won-Geun. Movie is written and directed by Kim Tae-Young (“Set Me Free“). Story for “Misbehavior” revolves around 2 female teachers and a male high school student. Kim Ha-Neul plays Hyo-Joo. She isn’t tenured at the school, but presumes to become so in the near future. The school board chairman’s daughter played by Yu In-Young then comes to the school as a new tenured teacher. Hyo-Joo then witnesses Yu In-Young’s character in a passionate embrace with a male student played by Lee Won-Geun.

“Misbehavior” will be released sometime January, 2017 in South Korea.

Main trailer and posters for movie “Because I Love You”

Main trailer and posters added for upcoming movie “Because I Love You” starring Cha Tae-Hyun, Kim You-Jung & Seo Hyun-Jin. The film offers a mixture of romance, comedy and fantasy (something Cha Tae-Hyun previously found success with in “Hello Ghost“). In the film, Cha Tae-Hyun plays a man who wakes up from a car accident in another person’s body. Soon, he realizes he is able to take over the consciousness of other people and in doing so he helps them solve their personal problems.

Teaser trailer and character posters added for upcoming movie “The King” starring Zo In-Sung & Jung Woo-Sung. Movie is written and directed by Han Jae-Rim. The character posters are of Zo In-Sung, Jung Woo-Sung, Bae Sung-Woo and Ryoo Joon-Yeol. Story for “The King,” follows Zo In-Sung as Park Tae-Soo. After going through a difficult upbringing Park Tae-Soo becomes a prosecutor, but he wants to amass more power.

“The King” will be released sometime January, 2017 in South Korea.

First still images from movie “Young Cop” (literal title) starring Park Seo-Joon, Kang Ha-Neul & Park Ha-Sun. The still images are from the first day of filming for the movie which took place November 21, 2016 at the former campus of the Korean National Police University in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.

Setup for this scene has Ki-Joon (Park Seo-Joon) and Hee-Yeol  (Kang Ha-Neul) meeting for the first time during orientation for new students at the Korean National Police University. About 300 extras took part in filming this scene. Park Seo-Joon and Kang Ha-Neul also had their hair cut during a scene on the first day of filming.

“Young Cop” will be released sometime during 2017 in South Korea.

See list of winners at the 37th Blue Dragon Film Awards

The 37th Blue Dragon Film Awards just concluded in South Korea. Big winners at the award ceremony include movies “Inside Men,” “The Wailing” and “The Handmaiden.”

“Inside Men” won “Best Film” award and “Best Actor” award for Lee Byung-Hun. “The Wailing” picked up “Best Director” award for Na Hong-Jin and “Best Supporting Actor” award for Jun Kunimura. Meanwhile, Park Chan-Wook‘s “The Handmaiden” picked up the “Best Actress” award for Kim Min-Hee & “Best New Actress” award for Kim Tae-Ri.

Teaser poster and teaser trailer added for movie “Misbehavior” starring Kim Ha-Neul, Yu In-Young & Lee Won-Geun. Movie is written and directed by Kim Tae-Young (“Set Me Free“). Story for “Misbehavior” revolves around untenured high school teacher Hyo-Joo played by Kim Ha-Neul. She’s passed over for a permanent teaching position by Hye-Young played by Yu In-Young. Hye-Young is the daughter of the school board chairman. Hyo-Joo then sees Hye-Young in a romantic embrace at school with a student played by Lee Won-Geun. Revenge soon comes into play.
