Script reading and gosa ceremony for movie “Room 7”

Script reading and opening gosa ceremony took place for upcoming movie “Room 7,” starring Shin Ha-Kyun & Do Kyung-Soo, on December 22, 2016. The traditional gosa ceremony is a shamanistic ritual to avoid misfortune and bring about good luck. Filming for “Room 7” is expected to start January 2, 2017. Setting for “Room 7” takes place at a DVD bang, which is a DVD rental shop that offers semi-private rooms to watch the films.

Zo In-Sung vs Hyun-Bin

Zo In-Sung and Hyun-Bin are set to face-off of sorts, as their latest films have just been assigned the same January 18, 2017 release date in South Korea.

Zo In-Sung’s “The King” also stars Jung Woo-Sung and follows the life a prosecutor in the 1990’s as he climbs the social ladder. Meanwhile, “Confidential Assignment” pairs Hyun-Bin with Yu Hae-Jin and follows the story of a North Korean and South Korean detective as they work together to take down a criminal. “The King” is distributed by NEW and “Confidential Assignment” by CJ Entertainment.

Still images from Bong Joon-Ho directed film “Okja”

Here’s two official still images from upcoming movie “Okja” directed by Bong Joon-Ho. The still images are of Ahn Seo-Hyun and Lily Collins.. The film “Okja” is a Netflix film that will premiere on the streaming website and also see a theatrical release in various countries including South Korea. Story for “Okja” follows a young girl (Mi-Ja) as she attempts to find her friend Okja who is a massive animal. It turns out there’s a conspiracy of sorts involving a multi-national company. International cast for the film also features Jake Gyllenhaal Tilda Swinton, Paul Dano & Giancarlo Esposito.

Gang Dong-Won & Han Hyo-Joo cast in movie “Golden Slumber”

Gang Dong-Won & Han Hyo-Joo are cast in new movie “Golden Slumber.” The film is based on 2007 Japanese novel “Golden Slumber” by Kotaro Isaka and a remake of 2010 film “Golden Slumber” starring Masato Sakai & Yuko Takeuchi in the lead roles. Movie will be directed by No Dong-Seok. Also cast in supporting roles are Kim Dae-Myung, Kim Sung-Kyun and Kim Eui-Sung.

Filming for “Golden Slumber” will begin sometime during the first half of 2017 in South Korea.

Jung Woo-Sung and Kwak Do-Won cast in movie “Steel Rain”

Jung Woo-Sung and Kwak Do-Won are cast in new movie “Steel Rain.” The film is based on webcomic “Steel Rain” by Yang Woo-Suk & Je Pi Ga Roo. Movie will be directed by Yang Woo-Seok (“The Attorney“).

In movie “Steel Rain,” Jung Woo-Sung will play Eom Chul-Woo. He is a former agent of the North Korean Intelligence Bureau. Kwak Do-Won will play Kwak Chul-Woo. He is an acting Senior Presidential Secretary of Foreign and Security Affairs for South Korea. The two men carry out a secret operation to prevent a Korean War.

Meanwhile, actress Ko Ah-Sung has been offered a major supporting character role. If she accepts, she will play a North Korean woman who comes to South Korea and becomes involved in a case.

Filming for “Steel Rain” begins February, 2017 in South Korea.

Filming finishes for movie “House Above Time”

Filming finished December 15, 2016 for upcoming movie “House Above Time” starringĀ Kim Yunjin & TaecYeon. The last day of filming took place in Iksan, North Jeolla-Province, South Korea. Story for “House Above Time” revolves around a house where a woman’s (Kim Yunjin) husband died and her son disappeared. The woman went to prison for 25 years, but she returns to the house.

Meanwhile, still images above are the first of Kim Yunjin and TaecYeon from the movie. “House Above Time” will be released during the first half of 2017 in South Korea.
