Teaser poster for movie “Kingmaker”

First teaser poster added for movie “Kingmaker” starring Sol Kyung-Gu & Lee Sun-Kyun. Caption on the poster teases “Two men who want to change the world. A fierce election battle begins.” The film is “motivated” by political strategist Eom Chang-Rok, who worked for opposition party candidate Kim Dae-Jung in the late 1960’s-early 1970’s and then switched sides to work for military dictator Park Chung-Hee’s presidential campaign. Filming for “Kingmaker” took place from March 25, 2019 to July 30, 2019.

“Kingmaker” is now scheduled for release December, 2021 in South Korea.

Filming for movie “Sad Tropics” to begin with Kim Sun-Ho

Filming for movie “Sad Tropics” (literal title) will begin with actor Kim Sun-Ho in a starring role. Recently, Kim Sun-Ho was involved in a scandal with an ex-girlfriend, who made charges that he urged her to get an abortion due to possible negative effects on his sponsorship contracts and acting career. Kim Sun-Ho was then dropped from upcoming movies “2 O’clock Date” and “Dog Days” due to the scandal. His ex-girlfriend then stated there were some misunderstandings and she hoped Kim Sun-Ho’s career would not be further harmed by the scandal. Movie is directed by Park Hoon-Jung (“New World“).

Filming for “Sad Tropics” will begin sometime before the end of this year.

Joe Byeong-Gyu cast in movie “Even If I Die Once Again”

Joe Byeong-Gyu is cast for the lead role in movie “Even If I Die Once Again” (literal title). For Joe Byeong-Gyu, this will he be his first acting role since a person accused him of bullying back when they were students in New Zealand. Joe Byeong-Gyu denied the accusation and that situation is still ongoing. For the movie, Joe Byeong-Gyu will play a stunt man who dies and comes back to life as a high school student.

“Even If I Die Once Again” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.

Kim Sun-Ho & Lim Yoon-A cast in movie “2 O’clock Date”

Kim Sun-Ho and Lim Yoon-A are cast in movie “2 O’clock Date” (literal title). The film will be directed by Lee Sang-Geun. Director Lee Sang-Geun and Lim Yoon-A previously worked together in 2019 action-comedy film “Exit.” The script for “2 O’clock Date” is a romantic-comedy and will have Kim Sun-Ho and Lim Yoon-A living in the same apartment building.

Filming for “2 O’clock Date” is expected to start March, 2022 in South Korea.

Choi Sung-Eun cast in movie “Gentleman”

Choi Sung-Eun is cast for the lead female role in movie “Gentleman” co-starring Ju Ji-Hoon. She replaces Han So-Hee, who had to drop out of the movie due to general fatigue. Filming for the movie will begin this month. For the movie, Choi Sung-Eun will play Kim Hwa-Jin. Her character works as a prosecutor and she helps Ji Hyun-Soo (Ju Ji-Hoon) as he tries to clear his name. 

“Gentleman” will be released May, 2022 in South Korea.

Ra Mi-Ran, Kim Moo-Yul, & Yoon Kyung-Ho cast in movie “Honest Candidate 2”

Ra Mi-Ran, Kim Moo-Yul, & Yoon Kyung-Ho are cast in sequel movie “Honest Candidate 2.” All three performers will reprise their characters from 2020 movie “Honest Candidate.” Also cast for the sequel film are Seo Hyun-Woo, Park Jin-Joo, and Yoon Doo-Joon will make a special apearance. The 2020 movie “Honest Candidate” is a remake of 2014 Brazilian movie “O Candidato Honesto.”

Filming for “Honest Candidate 2” began July 31, 2021.

Highlight trailer for tvN drama “The Road: The Tragedy of One”

Highlight trailer added for tvN drama series “The Road: The Tragedy of One” starring Ji Jin-Hee & Yoon Se-Ah. The highlight video follows Anchorman Baek Soo-Hyun (Ji Jin-Hee) as he reveals a scoop on an illegal election campaign fund, while broadcasting live. Watching the broadcast, are Politician Hwang Tae-Seob (Kim Roe-Ha) and Chairman Seo Ki-Tae (Cheon Ho-Jin), who seem angered by the revelation. Baek Soo-Hyun soon receives a phone call and the caller tells him that his son Yeon-Woo has been kidnapped. 

“The Road: The Tragedy of One” first airs August 4, 2021 in South Korea.
