Filming for movie “Hwaran” finishes

Filming for movie “Hwaran,” starring Song Joong-Ki and Hong Sa-Bin, finished December 12, 2022 in South Korea. Filming began September 13, 2022 and took a total of 3 months to complete. Actor Song Joong-Ki plays a mid-level crime boss in the movie and accepted the role without receiving pay. Song Joon-Ki stated after filming finished that “From the time I read the script, I was curious and looked forward to how the scenes would be depicted. I thought this was a work that had to be made into a movie and it was worth it. I am grateful to be able to participate in such a work.”

Release date for “Hwaran” has not yet been announced.

Teaser poster and release date for movie “Gentleman”

Teaser poster and release date set for movie “Gentleman” starring Ju Ji-Hoon, Park Sung-Woong, & Choi Sung-Eun. The film will be released December 28, 2022 via online video platform Wavve. The movie follows Ju jI-Hoon who plays Private Detective Ji Hyun-Soo. Through a series of circumstances, he finds himself the suspect of a kidnapping and then he impersonates a prosecutor to uncover the truth. Caption on the teaser poster asks “Do I need manners to catch a bad man?”

Supporting cast members announced for movie “Harbin”

Supporting cast members have been announced for upcoming movie “Harbin” starring Hyun-Bin and directed by Woo Min-Ho (“Inside Men“). Now cast for the film are Park Jung-Min, Jo Woo-Jin, Jeon Yeo-Bin, Yoo Jae-Myung, & Park Hoon. The film is set in the early 20th century, when Korea was under Japanese occupation. All the newly announced cast members will play real historical persons who were part of the independence movement. Park Jung-Min will play Woo Deok-Soon, Jo Woo-Jin will play Kim Sang-Hyun, Jeon Yeo-Bin will play Madam Gong, Yoo Jae-Myung will play Choi Jae-Hyeong, and Park Hoon will play Datsuo Mori.

Filming for the movie will start November 20, 2022 and will take place in South Korea, Latvia, and Mongolia. The traditional gosa ceremony (Buddhist ritual to bring about good fortune) that takes place prior to filming took place November 14, 2022.

Teaser posters & release date for movie “Men of Plastic”

Teaser posters and release date set for movie “Men of Plastic” starring Ma Dong-Seok & Jung Kyoung-Ho. The comedy-drama film is set in the high end neighborhood of Apgujeong in Seoul, South Korea. Ma Dong-Seok plays Dae-Guk, who is a native of the neighborhood. He teams up with surgeon Ji-Woo (Jung Kyung-Ho) to start a plastic surgery business in the area.

“Men of Plastic” is now set for release sometime this November in South Korea.

Teaser posters and release date for movie “Owl”

Teaser posters and release date added for period-thriller film “Owl” (literal title) starring Yu Hae-Jin and Ryoo Joon-Yeol. The film is set sometime during the 17th century. Ryoo Joon-Yeol plays a blind acupuncturist, but he is able to see at night. He witness the death of the crown prince. Yu Hae-Jin will play King Injo.

“Owl” will be released November 23, 2022 in South Korea.

Teaser poster & release date for movie “Ditto”

Teaser poster and release date set for movie “Ditto” starring Yeo Jin-Goo & Cho Yi-Hyun. Movie is a remake of 2000 movie “Ditto” starring Yoo Ji-Tae & Kim Ha-Neul. The film follows two young university students who begin to communicate via ham radio. They realize that each person lives in another time from the other person. Caption on the poster states “In different time periods, we are connected.”

“Ditto” will be released November 16, 2022 in South Korea.
