Filming for movie “Hwaran,” starring Song Joong-Ki and Hong Sa-Bin, finished December 12, 2022 in South Korea. Filming began September 13, 2022 and took a total of 3 months to complete. Actor Song Joong-Ki plays a mid-level crime boss in the movie and accepted the role without receiving pay. Song Joon-Ki stated after filming finished that “From the time I read the script, I was curious and looked forward to how the scenes would be depicted. I thought this was a work that had to be made into a movie and it was worth it. I am grateful to be able to participate in such a work.”
Release date for “Hwaran” has not yet been announced.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: 18-year-old Yeon-Kyu (Hong Sa-Bin) lives in a bleak and miserable situation. He has a younger sister Ha-Yan (Bibi). To find a way out, he joins a criminal organization. There, Yeon-Kyu meets Chi-Gun (Song Joong-Ki). He is a mid-level boss in the crime group who trusts and leads Yeon-Kyu.
