Jang Hyuk cast in MBC drama series “Bad Papa”

Jang Hyuk is cast for the lead role in MBC drama series “Bad Papa.” In the drama series, Jang Hyuk will play Yoo Ji-Cheol. He was once a top boxer, but he lost everything. He then tries to come back as a MMA fighter. Actresses Shin Eun-Soo and Son Yeo-Eun have been offered supporting roles and they are still considering. Shin Eun-Soo would play Jang Hyuk’s daughter if she accepts.

“Bad Papa” first airs September, 2018 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Monday and Tuesdays 10PM time slot after “Risky Romance“).

Ko Soo cast in SBS drama series “Thoracic Surgery”

Ko Soo is cast for a leading role in new SBS medical drama series “Thoracic Surgery.” In the drama series Ko Soo will play Park Tae-Soo. He is a fellow in thoracic surgery. Ko Soo is the first person cast in the drama series.

“Thoracic Surgery” first airs September, 2018 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot after “Dear Judge.”).

First script reading for JTBC drama series “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty”

First script reading for JTBC drama series “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty” took place May 30, 2018 at the JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. At the first script reading, main cast members Lim Soo-Hyang, Cha Eun-Woo (‘Astro’), Jo Woo-RiKwak Dong-Yeon, Park Joo-MiMin Do-Hee and Woo Hyeon all attended. The director of the drama series Choi Sung-Bum stated that the story is about the growth of a woman after going through plastic surgery and experiencing new things at a university.

“My ID Is Gangnam Beauty” first airs July, 2018 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer #1 for KBS2 drama series “Your House Helper”

First two teaser trailers added for upcoming KBS2 drama series “Your House Helper” starring Ha Seok-Jin and Bona (‘WJSN’). In addition, here’s 3 teaser posters for the drama series. The teaser posters features Ha Seok-Jin as house helper Kim Ji-Woon. He works as a professional housekeeper; cleaning clients’ homes, doing laundry and also helping to arrange his clients’ complicated lives. At the 18 second mark of the teaser trailer #1 (2), Ha Seok-Jin does a voice-over and states “I clean up your mind ….your house helper.”

 

“Your House Helper” is now set to first air July 4, 2018 in South Korea.

First script reading for MBC drama series “Time”

First script reading for MBC drama series “Time” took place April 28, 2018 at MBC Broadcasting Station in Ilsan, South Korea. The first script reading included main cast members Kim Jung-HyunSeohyun (‘Girls’ Generation’), Kim Joon-HanHwang Seung-Un,  Kim Jung-Tae and Jeon Su-Kyeong in attendance. The first script reading took about 4 hours to complete.

“Time” first airs July, 2018 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot after “Come and Hug Me.”).

Gosa ceremony for tvN drama series “Mr. Sunshine”

Upcoming tvN drama series “Mr. Shunshine” held its gosa ceremony on June 8, 2018. The traditional gosa ceremony takes place to bring about good luck and avoid misfortune. The gosa ceremony was held at a filming set in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province, South Korea. More than 200 people including Lee Byung-HunKim Tae-RiYoo Yeon-SeokKim Min-JungByun Yo-Han, Choi Moo-Sung and Jo Woo-Jin all attended.

“Mr. Sunshine” first airs July 7, 2018 in South Korea.

Jung So-Min cast in tvN drama series “Hundred Million Stars From the Sky”

Jung So-Min is cast for tvN drama series “Hundred Million Stars From the Sky” co-starring Seo In-Guk. The drama series is a remake of 2002 Fuji TV drama series “Hundred Million Stars From the Sky” starring Takuya Kimura and Eri Fukatsu in the respective lead roles.

For “Hundred Million Stars From the Sky,” Jung So-Min will play lead female character Yoo Jin-Kang. When she was little, she lost her parents in an accident. Her older brother Yoo Jin-Kook then raised her with love. Now, she works as an advertisement designer. After she meets Kim Moo-Young (Seo In-Guk), her life changes.

“Hundred Million Stars From the Sky” first airs sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.
