Teaser trailers for tvN drama series “Designated Survivor: 60 Days”

First two teaser trailers added for upcoming tvN drama series “Designated Survivor: 60 Days” starring Ji Jin-Hee. The drama series is a remake of U.S. television show “Designated Survivor.” The teaser trailers shows a burning building and, at the 10 second mark, Ji Jin-Hee’s voice states “The House of Parliament collapsed.” Meanwhile, below are the first still images of Ji Jin-Hee in the drama series. He plays Park Moo-Jin who holds a Minister of Environment position in the Korean government. After the building explosion, he becomes the default South Korean president.

“Designated Survivor: 60 Days” is now scheduled to first air July 1, 2019 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Monday and Tuesday 9:30 PM time slot after “Abyss“).

Teaser trailer for OCN drama series “Watcher”

First teaser trailer added for OCN drama series “Watcher” starring Han Suk-Kyu, Seo Kang-Joon and Kim Hyun-Joo. All three lead performers play members of a police internal affairs team. The first teaser trailer begins with captions in Korean that states “Han Suk-Kyu. Seo Kang-Joon. Kim Hyun-Joo. Korea’s first internal inspection thriller.” At the 12 second mark, Han Suk-Kyu’s voice teases “Internal inspection thriller. Watcher.” Meanwhile, above is the first still images of Han Suk-Kyu in the drama series. He plays Do Chi-Gwang, who is the leader of a police internal affairs investigation team.

“Watcher” first airs July, 2019 in South Korea.

Ep.1 trailer for KBS2 drama series “Perfume”

Ep.1 trailer and two posters added for KBS2 drama series “Perfume” starring Shin Sung-Rok and Go Won-Hee. At the 14 second mark of the ep.1 trailer, Ha Jae-Suk‘s voice appears and she says in Korean “The moment when I gave up my life completely, a miracle came to me.” Meanwhile, above is the main poster for the drama series and below is a group poster for the drama series featuring Shin Sung-Rok, Go Won-Hee, Ha Jae-Suk, Cha Ye-Ryun and Kim Min-Kyu.

English title for tvN drama series “Catch The Ghost”

Official English title is now set for upcoming tvN drama series “Catch The Ghost” starring Moon Geun-Young and Kim Sun-Ho. The literal title is a bit open ended as it could be “Catch Yoo-Ryung” or “Catch The Ghost.” The main character played by Moon Geun-Young is named Yoo-Ryung, which also means ghost in Korean. In the drama series, Yoo-Ryung works as a detective and she is also trying to find her missing sister.

“Catch The Ghost” first airs sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.

Teaser poster & teaser trailer #4 for MBC drama series “Partners for Justice Season 2”

Teaser poster & teaser trailer #4 added for upcoming MBC drama series “Partners for Justice Season 2” starring Jung Jae-Young and Jung Yoo-Mi. The teaser poster has an English tag line that states “People Are Flowers, Be Gentle.” In teaser trailer #4, caption at the 14 second mark states in Korean “The dead’s trace” and at the 21 second mark “Find the fabricated evidence.”

Kang Ha-Neul cast in KBS2 drama series “When Camellia Blooms”

Kang Ha-Neul is cast for the lead male role in KBS2 drama series “When Camellia Blooms” (literal title) co-starring Kong Hyo-Jin. Kang Ha-Neul was officially discharged from the South Korean military today, May 23, 2019. “When Cameillia Blooms” will be his first acting role since becoming a civilian again. For the drama series, Kang Ha-Neul will play a man named Yong-Sik. Already cast in the drama series in a supporting role is veteran actress Ko Du-Shim. Actor Kim Ji-Suk and actress Son Dam-Bi have also received offers to play major supporting character roles for the drama series and they are considering their offers.

“When Camellia Blooms” will first air September, 2019 in South Korea.

First script reading for JTBC drama series “Moment of Eighteen”

First script reading for JTBC drama series “Moment of Eighteen” (literal title), starring Ong Seong-Wu & Kim Hyang-Gi, took place April, 2019 at JTBC Building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. Main cast members including Ong Seong-Wu, Kim Hyang-Gi, Shin Seung-Ho, Kang Ki-Young, Shim Yi-Young and Kim Sun-Young attended. At the first script reading, Ong Seong-Wu (whose only prior acting experience was short film “Seong-Wu Is Fine”) stated “Acting is not just a simple change. I dreamed of this for such a long time, so I will work on the drama with a sincere heart.” One Seong-Wu was a member of boy band “Wanna One.” Meanwhile, Kim Hyang-Gi stated at the script reading “It has been a long time since I acted in a drama series. I will work hard for this drama.” The drama series will be directed by Sim Na-Yeon (“Summer Days; Yeo-Reum“) and scripted by Yoon Kyung-Ah (“Master of Study“).

“Moment of Eighteen” will first air sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.
